I cannot say how much your motivational talks help me. We had our trip to Disneyland planned for May (at the young age of 66) first time in 16yrs but I had to cancel because of a stroke and now I probably won’t be able to ever go back. Your blogs are so unique compared to the other blogs and cover the interesting facts of why Walt built Disneyland. You are amazing and we love you 💗🧚♀️🏴☠️🙆♀️
RSR you can't tell before boarding who will when. But whoever is ahead at first in the curve loses 100% of the time. Cars is an underdog story. Learned this from Freshbaked ❤
Hi Chris, you probably already know this but there used to be lots of trolley cars in Los Angeles. So sad they are gone and now this one too. Thank you for letting us see California Adventure through your eyes. You make my work day better. I listen to you while I make reports and worksheets for my students. I look forward to each of them.
Walt Disney arrived in California in June & July of 1923... it was an extraordinarily windy day and trains weren't very aerodynamic back then... I have an odd suggestion: on one of your videos can you run a counter for every time someone recognizes you in the Parks? Another fun vid.. thanks🖤
The reason why the taking it down just because they don't have space they're going to use that area to make those two tiny rides they're going to release
Your final message alone to us brought me to suscribe to you. It does mean a lot to genuinely thank the ones who make disney possible and care about those who have things going on in their lives and watch to "get away" or make their day easier to endure. Thanks for your enthusiasm, tips, secrets and making me smile.
Fun fact about Twilight Zone, now Guardians Breakout, when Disney went to Otis elevator Company to ask them about helping with the engineering for the ride, when Otis found out they wanted to do a drop shaft, they initially said: “NO! we’ve spent our entire career making sure elevators don’t drop like that!!!” Once they found out that Disney was all about safety, they agreed to help. BUT, as you pointed out, gravity wasn’t fast enough for the drop, so the car is actually pulled down than gravity by cable! 😎
Humphrey is the bear that was supposed to be picking up the papers and putting them in the bag after the tourists left, ordered by the park ranger. He's also the one who was trying to cut corners and grab the fish before the park ranger refilled the lake. (Two of my favorites.)
Something else about Mickeys Philharmagic, the voice of Donald was saved from Clarence Nash and everything you hear him say in the show other then “thank you” is the original voice of Donald
I will miss Red Car Trolly. It is one of the things that helped make DCA a theme park vs a mere lower level amusement park. All the parts are important to theme. They are also super important and priceless to guest experience.
My uncle David just passed away, my aunt Robin passed away earlier this year, and we need more money in the house with no hope of me getting a job, but Provost Park/Park Pass keeps me sane.
Hi Chris! I want to say that watching your videos are always a joy. I wrote back when you had your Florida Challege of staying in every hotel, about how much your videos and encouraging messages got me through moments of high stress in my undergraduate years. Now, you help me feel less stressed through your videos, puns and encouraging messages as I continue my education. I'm currently going through an accelerated Speech Pathology program. Thank you!
I also noticed when you were showing Squirrel Girls bike her front light is also an acorn ✨✨ Complete hit the scenario on the head with today's personal message with what I am going through, so really appreciate those kind words today.
@@Thomas-et4ypopinions please, I'll be visiting Disneyland & DCA in a couple weeks for the first time in like 17 years! I remember Indiana Jones and the Matterhorn really jacking my back up and star tours hurt my neck a little LOL I heard this about the Sky School so I'm going to pass... any others I need to be warned about? Thanks!! ❤️💛🖤
Yes, Smokey bear was at first a cartoon spokesperson for preserving forests but, they found a bear cub after a wildfire and that bear became the mascot for preventing wildfires. That bear cub’s original name was hotfoot teddy
The reason Disney has to retire The Red Car Trolly is because the "Barn'" that houses TRCT has to be removed for the New Avengers Campus E-Ticket ride.
Keep them coming! You are AMAZING! The trolly #'s are a reference to the 600- and 700-series "Hollywood" cars built by the St. Louis Car Company for Pacific Electric in the 1920's. The "23" does designated the year, not month, that Walt arried in California, as well as when Walt & Roy started Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio. (OCT 16, 1923). I also find it coincidental that June 15th, 2012 was the month that the 1st reopening of DCA was. You are correct that they intentionally made the 700 series Trolly, 717, in remembrance of the month and day Disneyland opened in 1955.
Chris, i thought you were going to talk about the height of the Guardians tower. 199' 11 3/4" because they can't be 200 feet due to Anaheim restrictions.
Now we need a full video on Goofy Flying school he was missed. Also on on the history of climbing the Matterhorn. I remember going to the park and seeing them climbing
Love your videos!! Thank you, they keep me smiling :) Goofy's Sky School?? In Frozen, there's a nod to Hans Christian Anderson. They named characters Hans, Kristof, Anna, Sven.
In the Redwoods area thing, it took me a while to learn that it was themed to Brother Bear. Also at Storytellers sometimes they have Brother Bear characters. I really like the section where you put your hand on the paw print and it tells you what your spirit animal is. I don’t think there are any other attractions in any other Disney parks that feature Brother Bear because it wasn’t a very big movie. Also, Ariel wanted to be human because mermaids don’t have souls. But the deal was, she had to marry a human to stay human long term and that would guarantee that she would go to heaven when she died. But it didn’t work out so she became seafoam but I believe she still got to go to heaven because she risked her life for Eric? Something like that, it wasn’t about risking your life for true love.
Also, the Art of Animation building and Talk with Crush are amazing and underrated. Carsland is my favorite. I kind of miss The Beach Boys music. All the California music was kind of an overkill, but I miss the ambiance and fun. They took so much California out of DCA. The California Sorin is my favorite too.
@@jrcmmaxgogoplata8402 it’s in the cave on the bottom floor of the obstacle course, it’s only partially covered if that makes sense.. you can see it light up periodically when you are close by. Honestly, it is VERY cool especially if you loved the movie. I’m surprised more vloggers don’t cover that part. Honestly, until someone showed me, I just thought the area was only for children and just like an outdoor playground. Also hot tip, my dad was interviewed by imagineers before the creation of DCA while they were doing research of the woodsy areas of California. He was a Forrest Ranger in Julia Fiffer Burns State Park at the time which is located in Big Sur. But the true fun fact is that they spell in BIG SIR on the signs in the Redwood Challenge course which doesn’t mean anything! Lol I cringe whenever I see it.
Love this one Chris. I wish I knew secrets for a higher score on Webslingers. I know about the green and blue spiders but I would like to know other tricks like pulling levers. I usually don't do very well and hope to improve.
On the map part, I wrote this long message saying I found the 3rd hidden mickey. I usually don't find them at all. After I explained when it was played the video out, and you found it, lol. So I had to deleted it,. Thank you Chris on these videos. I love them. And I'm still waiting on secrets reveal of Rise and Smugglers Run.
There's a hidden Mickey on the map at Anwannee Camp Circle right above the circle that looks like a cookie or pancake right above next to the middle. .......oh you found it
I feel so lucky to have ridden that “limo” ride. I loved it. It was an absolute scary nightmare of a ride. After my very first time I looked to my friend and said, “I don’t understand what I just saw. I have so many questions like, ‘why?’” I proceeded to ride it 5 more times😂
Thanks for this video! Love it as I loved the one for DL. I'm sad about the cable car that represents Walt's time! I wish they'll find another warehouse for them, so they'll keep them!
The Outsiders: Robert Frost: Nature's first green is gold, her hardest hue to hold, her early leafs a flower, but only so an hour, so leaf subsides to leaf, so eden sank to grief, so dawn goes down to day, Nothing Gold Can Stay. It's one of my favorite books too.
For Toy Story Midway Mania, can you fit 3 people in there? If so, maybe you could have a friend to help with the points, a gopro or some sort of attached camera setup, and Miles in the middle holding glasses in front of the camera? I dunno, that's the best I"ve got lol.
If you have a GoPro or Insta360 Go 3s, or can borrow one, you use a headband mount and tape one of those filters over the lense. That way you’ll show an almost eye level view of what you’re doing. Hope this gives you another option to try out.
My suggestion for Toy Story Mania: I've seen Let's Players stop talking during difficult levels so that they can focus and then record a voiceover explaining what they did while editing. Use a GoPro, do all the things, and then explain the things in post.
Last time I was there Luigis ride was on floating balloon were u lean the direction you wanted to go kinda like bumper cars, this new one seems much better though
I rode Grizzly River with a couple of cast members a few years back, and they confirmed that there is no pattern for the geysers (they spent hours trying to find a pattern), and that they weren't able to control them (if they did, we would ba a lot wetter lol)
Mr. Limpet was animated by Bill Tytla (Fantasia) and the animators of The Little Mermaid had so much respect for him that they put Mr. Limpet in the very last scene of the "Under the Sea" segment. Then the Imagineers put him in the ride.
In the Has Christian Anderson story, the Little Nermaid wants to become human for an immortal soul. She has to get the prince to love her to earn her soul.

Save the Red Trolley 💔 Love all of the secrets esp the silhouette of Hans Christian Andersen.

I ❤ DCA!!!!
On the map just you showing it by the Ahwahnee Camp Circle there is a hidden Mickey by the large campfire
lol you just spotted it later in the video 😂
Trick on filming 3d attractions is to put a polarized filter on your camera. I phone filters can be had for $25.

One correction, Chris. My husband, an engineer, said it’s Lester Allan Pelton not Pelaton.
Excellent content as always!
Stay gold Ponyboy. We read it in 8th grade and my class got to see the movie! Love it! Hi Chris and Amanda.
