We've had parakeets for 42 years. The last one, Rusty, died in January. Our hearts are still broken. They brought us joy and sadness. They are forever in our hearts. It's getting easier to watch bird videos again. They are one of the world's treasures.
Adorable Summer dances. We had a Crimson Rosella for many years? Very sweet your Passion is and smart. Ours was wild and we mistook him for a lorikeet .Being new at the time to the bird game, we purchased him from a market. Malibu, is amazing. Very good at listening to you. Love his antics.
We have a pair of Eastern Rosellas that turn up every so often to feed on our front lawn. We're lucky to have such beautiful birds here in Australia, but I always get genuinely excited when I see these ones. Passion is gorgeous, as are all of your birdies 🥰

Wow an eastern Rosella, I had a Rosella growing up. They are great pets ! They have the most beautiful singing voice. They are pretty common in Australia and I see them in my garden all the time 😁 I’m biased but Australia has the most amazing parrot species
Aaaaaaaaa!!!! A Kakariki!!! I can't wait to see how you enjoy Summer! I *adore* kakarikis but I've definitely never had the opportunity to meet one. I feel like they could potentially be a good bird for me someday, when I have more room for them. I thought my post was done but then you showed Passion!!! Eastern rosellas are another favorite of mine! Though I'm a bit concerned that I wouldn't be able to get a rosella to be a good pet much like you mentioned, and I was also concerned it might not get along with my Bourkes. Since it seems like you are keeping Passion outside, I guess you won't get to find out if he gets along with your Bourkes or not. I love him though!!! What a cutie!!! I just got my third and fourth Bourke's parakeets! Your videos have been so helpful for me in determining what birds I should have, and they are definitely Bourkes. I absolutely adore them... enough to get 2 more! My Bourkes are just the sweetest birds ever, even the new babies are so friendly and loving. They have brightened my life so much and given me the confidence to have pets again!
Hi I love Bourkes they are such nice and sweet birds. My Rosella is an indoor bird, the aviary is for during the day on nice days. He is aggressive to other birds unfortunately so I don't let him near my other birds often. I am hoping that he changes and can get along with others

Kakarikis are amazing, I have had them for some years. They love bathing and digging the ground for their food. They don’t really socialize as well with other parrots tho so it would be better to have 2 of them.
Ive fallen in love with your viseos and your hands on approach to engage not cage your birds I have a small rescue in florida but am starting to breed ringnecks and cockatiels to prevent anymore wild captures we need the breeding programs to make certain we dont lose anymore species of these beautiful smart engaging creatures

I was only helping a friend briefly while she was on vacation.I only usedthe spoon method because i didnt know how to properly hand feed any other way.I wish i could put stormy under the faucet too to take a shower.Thanks for sharing your beautiful flock!Take care.

Love of Pets hello! I have a cockatiel that likes to hang out on the top of my mirror. I can’t reach the top so it isn’t often that I can ensure that it is clean on the top. I have many perches around the room but he likes to perch on the mirror half of the time. Is there a way I can prevent him from being on top of the mirror? It’s pretty poopy up there and very difficult to make sure that the poop isn’t just smeared on it. Btw your new babies are so full of personality.
I like how Summer does the "funky chicken strut". I can see that she can be messy, hahaha ! I can see that Passion loves bathing. Malibu does some neat tricks, also likes bathing. Very nice new birds.
I have an Eastern Australian Rosella we named Skittles. She was flying wild here in Southern California and my brother was able to catch her. She's bonded to me but I can't tame her. She's in a parrot cage by the kitchen table and will duck her beak when I'm sitting because she wants treats. Loves her carrots, apple, and absolutely begs for dry dog food. I just want to be able to handle her when her talons get to long without her freaking out. Also to rearrange or replace her toys when she chewed thru them and also to keep her from getting bored with her toys. I talk to her and hope she will learn to talk.
@@Alatreon2435 She isn't in the kitchen. She is near table where we spend the most time. That way she gets the most interaction. If I'm late getting into the kitchen/dining room she really gets upset. She starts screaming like crazy. And yes Rosellas can learn to talk with a lot of patience. She is very smart and will communicate in her way when she wants food, treats, fresh bath water.

I love your channel, I love your videos and I love the fact you love pets as much as I do :) Just in this video, it made me sad to see these handfed birds, especially Summer, seem to like being alone... If you get 2 handfed siblings, or keep 2 if you handfeed yourself, they are just as tame and easy to train, but can socialize with each other as well. It always gives me a good feeling to see my birds happy, and I'm sure it's the same with you. Just felt the urge to tell you this... but you're a great bird-mom anyways!
