AR overthrow him a lot but he dropped balls to,, but he was wide open many times by like 10 yards due to his speed,,, Give both another year things will be different
The Bengals defense was not great when he was fired. Have you ever heard of shit rolling uphill? I sure haven't. Lou is much better than Gus. Gus was predictable. Lou is not. He disguises plays and keeps defenses guessing. But on another note the Colts need to keep key defense players off IR. There were too many on IR and on a team without depth. Latu was asked to defend the run. He is a pass rusher. They need depth, and yes a QB. Richardson is just horrible. Even as a project he just sucks. Look up his stats. First of all you don't throw a project QB into the fire . Richardson should have sat behind a veteran QB for at least 3 years before even staring a game. He was a horrible 4th pick to begin with. You can't expect greatness out of a QB that started only 13 college games. Bring Justin Fields in right now for competition and I believe Fields is better. His stats definitely show that he is. I'm not saying he is the long term answer but he will win more games than Richardson. Shore up the linebackers. Speed is not that bad when played right. He was played too soft with Bradley and can be very aggressive. Too many of you are calling for Franklin to be let go over a podcast. This defense is good but was too predictable in the zone cover 3 defense. Just way too soft. The front 4 was decent even with a couple on IR. I believe that Lou calling the plays and his scheme will help them stay healthy on defense. The tight end room is God awful. Good blockers but not a threat at receiving. Clean that room up and go after a great receiving TE and a lockdown CB. Do whatever it takes to keep Ryan Kelly. He showed he is great and will play through an injury and hold his own. Trade JT. I hear the draft is deep with good RBs. As long as the core line is kept a good RB will run well and open up the passing game. If Fields is acquired I would go out on a limb to say he wins the starting job. I'd love to see Richardson improve but it's not going to happen when he cannot stay on the field and when he does he is very inconsistent with a low QBR and completion percentage. His short passes are painful to watch and I don't believe the WRs are to blame. He gets lucky now and then with his unexpected long passes. Too many overthrows and too many no throws to receivers who are wide open. In short... Teams should go back to pocket passing. Even Lamar Jackson will lose a step scrambling sooner than later. Good pocket passers last much longer in The NFL. CJ Stroud is great. He, in my opinion will end up winning at least one SB. That's why I say Fields is a short term answer. He scrambles too much but at least he stays healthier than Richardson and has shown that he is capable of playing good football. I've literally seen nothing that impressed me from AR except for his few games he played his rookie season. I'm betting Steichen does not. Depth, Tight Ends (We could have had Brock Bowers with that pick they took Latu with or even Quinyon Mitchell, both studs.) Ballard has a lot of changes he needs to make. A lot of work. But ultimately he will fail. He will most likely be fired next season. I'm having a hard time believing Irsay kept him on as GM and drafting. Ballard said some things have to change without taking any responsibility for his failures. One season later and the Colts could have traded up for Bo Nix. Now that is patience. Not waiting for a never will be to develop because he won't. He has until 2027 to improve and I'm positive he will not. He won't be in the field long enough to improve. Knowing the NFL and team GMs they will give Richardson another chance. I'm pretty sure Richardson could be let go in 2026 or traded for a 7th round draft pick after the end of next season. It would be great to see Arch Manning fall into the Colts laps. What games he took over for Ewers in Texas, Arch looked really great for a freshman. It is in his genes uncountably. He is very well built and does not skip leg day. I would take him right now over Richardson. Yes it's a gamble but a safer gamble than Richardson. He will go 1st pick in the 2026 draft if he opts into the draft. I have no doubt about it. Even though Arch did not play much this season in Texas I don't think there is a better QB in the NCAA. No I'm not being biased. I know what I seen when I've watched him play. A lot of work ahead of next season but I believe a few cuts, trades, and draft picks can have the Colts defense in At least top 10 next season. At least. If not better.
Well this is your team, so I kinda follow it as well, with my Niners. It seems Gus Bradley could end up in SF if Robert Salah goes to Jacksonville as a HC. But the Colts get an upgrade to Lou Anarumo as DC from what I see. So if the niners can get our DC back for the 2025 season and remain healthy, we should do quite well and will likely be SB victors in Santa Clara. After all with our existing players at the start of 2024 the 49ers were favored to win the Superbowl this year, so we will see, there are some really good teams out in the NFL now. All the best in the draft, free agency, and the 2025 season with the Colts. Cheers Swaggy!
problem is we don't have the talent this guy needs to capitalize with. and AR needs talent around him, so the defense will be getting some secondhand talent in FA and the draft. maybe ballard can pull something, but history doesn't show that to be too likely. idk, i think this doesn't move the needle for us right now.
they also let Hubbard and Apple go, who shinned like he was supposed to finally and Sam Hubbard -speed and high football IQ. they stripped the defense and then said here Lou. Absolute BEAST give him what he needs and he will shine, nice pick up Colts. He was completely scapegoated. Its a consensus thing, the only ones who dont seem to think so are, well, the Bengals and who cares what that front office thinks.
The Bengals are idiots. This man was the guy behind f their defenses that stopped Mahomes and Allen on the way to a SB in 2021 and AFCCG in 2022. Good hire.
gotta have a QB to win in the NFL I mean AR showed flashes and hopefully he comes back 500% better next year since he is doing some offseason work but we will get better on defense
@ I don’t forget that but through 2 seasons we know nothing more about him than the day he was drafted. There has to be a direction in year 3. Either he plays way better or worse but we need some sort of idea about his future
Not a big fan of this pick, but it is true Burrows giant contract cost the Bengals alot of the talent on defense, couldn't afford them. But still not tonexcited.
I get so sick of hearing how poor Anthony Richardson needs more targets a r ound to help him. Pierce, Pittman and Downs would all be starters on any team. AR is a bum. He can't throw. He will never He able to throw He doesn't have the mechanics Until he is removed, the colts will continue to only win 6-8 games a year Colts suck bc of AR WAIVE HIM. Count your losses and get a qb. We need a real qb. Not someone unproven with potential AR is a bust AR IS A BUST AR IS A BUST
If AR has another bad yr the Colts will not get close to 3 draft picks for him in a trade ....That statement is fantasy at best...Most likely one late round pick and thats it...Sort of like another QB bust trade in Trey Lance...What NFL team would be stupid enough to bail the Colts out with more draft picks in a trade ??? Most likely NONE of them.....On another note, Alec Pierce thrived when Flacco was QB...Other than a couple long plays AR hardly found Pierce all yr long...
My Colts Channel Here!
W
im glad we running it back and I still believe in ar but if we don't win 10 games next season I'm gonna crash out
Colts hired a DC that held playoff Pat Mahomes in check... Lou Anarumo is definitely the best of a dire situation
it makes sense that Ad Mitchell didn't have a good season when our QB had the worst completion percentage.
Or bc he dropped a ton of balls… did you even watch any of the games?
Add the fact Mitchell dropped more balls than he caught...
AD Mitchell has a horrible attitude and even worse hands.
AR overthrow him a lot but he dropped balls to,, but he was wide open many times by like 10 yards due to his speed,,, Give both another year things will be different
@ it's hard to develop when AR15 is Ur qb
Gonna go from 28th defense to 20th defense
I mean that’s improvement

I believe Dennis Allen went to the Bears with Ben Johnson (New HC)
