    Looks good! I'm a Trapper from Saskatchewan, Canada and catch a few wolves every year. Usually on scent posts but I trail snare them as well. New subscriber here.

      Thank you for subscribing. I use scent posts as well. I prefer snares over leg hold traps only because of the constant snow fall and ice where I trap.

      Thank you for watching. I use more snares actually than leg hold traps just because of having to reset the leg hold traps after a new snowfall. I too use both scent posts and trail snares.

    It looks like you didn't even remove the grass from your traps...? Shiny new metal. No antifreeze or wax dirt? It looked like frozen ground. Does that set up actually get the wolves in? I figured they would shy away from something attempting to control them that much.

      My traps are all washed and dipped. They work for me. The key is to just stay clean. Each trapper has their own secrets. I listen to the best mentors I know. Then march to my own drummer.

      @@explorer4245 I live in the CdA area and new to trapping, I would enjoy tagging along to get some insight to start trapping in my area, if you are still actively trapping.

    I don't use leg holds, I use foot holds. Leg hold is the preferred term of the antis

    Hello, I've been subscribed to your channel for quite awhile now and just re-watched this video. I noticed this time, you have the trigger dogs modified. How does that work, and what did you do to them?

    • @explorer4245
      @explorer4245  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually the traps are MB750's straight from the supplier. I have not modified them. They are adjustable however and work great.

    • @explorer4245

      Actually the trigger dogs are original. No modifications from the manufacturer.

    @1:03 Idaho dirt is definitely hard and rocky almost year round. This part made me laugh.
