  • This is the DIY process of installing Costco RO on existing faucet. This avoids drilling holes on the counter. Some modification is needed in the pipes and adapters. This video shows the exact steps taken.

I've been busting my head trying to find a video so I didn't drill a new hole on my nice faucet...I will try this for sure.

Thank you for sharing these instructions. I was able to use them to install a new APEC RO-90 to an existing faucet.

This is exactly what I was thinking of doing. I don't want to drill a hole in my granite for a RO system installation. Quick question though, Is this able to move from RO water to non RO water easily (and vice versa)? I wouldn't want ALL my cold water to be RO water if possible.

In my setup, I replaced all cold water to be RO, and shut off the hot water (or the pressure will mess things up). There are faucet available that has three inlets that would keep your cold/hot plus an RO. I chose to keep my existing faucet.

@@adamli9892 Hi Adam. I'm having trouble finding a faucet with three inlets. do you have a link or name of one? if i dont use this type of faucet, can I simply put the faucet in the cold position for RO? I dont want to shut off hot completely.

@@unitedstatesofawake712 You can find a few on Internet. For example, go to Amazon, and search with "3-way RO faucet". That should give you plenty of choices to get you started.

This solution causes a mayor problem.
Whenever I use water I would be using the filtered one, that means that I am limited to 1 or 2 gallons depending g on the tank, plus the filter itself will be wearing out a lot faster.
    Not sure about this one.

You are right. Of course it is not for replacing your main faucet. I happened to have a small bar faucet on my counter besides the main faucet. Your situation may be different.

Uhhh what happens to the white and blue 3/8" inch tubes that are going up into the faucet? This video is incomplete without that being explained.

What is the membrane filter outlet connected to? To the hole in the sink draining pipe?

      From my understanding, yes

Pretty sure you dont want that copper after the RO

Thanks for the comment. It is nice to keep everything super clean. But I don't think it will make any pragmatic difference anyway. Copper is already everywhere.
