    That leak valve should be sitting on the shelf not elevated. If there is a leak there is a little sponge that if it gets wet it will pop the valve and it will automatically turn the system off.
    The last thing you need is a leak and you are away on vacation.
    RO water at very low TDS tastes weird. If you have a glass of RO next to a glass of Spring water you will never want to drink RO water again.
    The reason being that RO water removes the minerals and it tastes off. We are use to drinking water with minerals so when you remove them its not a satisfying taste. At least for me it was horrible without the re introduction of minerals.
    You can put a mineral filter, Express water calls it ALK. I use the REMIN CA filter from Vitev and my water tastes as good as the Canadian Spring water I was used to drinking before I got the RO.
    I was going to get rid of the RO system but that filter saved the day!

    Engineers may be able to design an in-line water pressure increase device before the Reverse Osmosis that still allows no leaks.

    You're supposed to install the filter's drain pipe before the P trap

    I am looking for a similiar set up instead of having to drill into the pipe. Can you please include in your description or let me know the exact plumbling parts you purchased?

    Our tap water was tested 148 and with the filter system went down to around 82. Not sure why it’s not going low like yours…we replaced all 5 filters and tested right away 😢

    I hate to lose all that space beneath the sink. Can the tank and filters be placed directly below the cabinet with the tank and filters mounted to basement ceiling joists?

    • @zonlymachine
      @zonlymachine 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes the system can be installed in a different room / location / floor with only one single line having to go all the way to your tap

    you might aswell just remove the leakstop valve. your sink cabinet would have to fill with over 6 inches of water before it would ever trigger

    Hey what is that tank for is it a needed part or what

  • @markdavis9510
    @markdavis9510 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I don't understand how water goes into the tank and then back to the faucet. Doesn't that need 2 lines?

    • @zonlymachine

      look up a how a water expansion tank works. theres a bladder inside with some pressure. if its empty, the water fills the tank cause the bladder has less pressure. as the water fills in the bladder starts to compress. at some point. the water pressure going in the tank and the bladder pushing up will equalize. once the inlet water pressure drops, for example draining alot of water, the bladder pressure pushes the water out of the tank.
      once you see that the tank isnt just an empty tank but with a bladder that is under pressure constantly pushing up a small amount, it makes sense.
