Adam working in the woods. Cutting down a tree.
A little information about family. We have 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. We have a small family farm, raise our own meat and veggies. We live in Vermont. Our youngest child is turning 5 years old this week, he was born premature and has over come many obstacles. We are very grateful that he is gaining each day!

You really ought to use the arch all the time if your gonna push. The blade is pretty low and if your cutter cuts too far your gonna kick that tree off the stump and back onto yourselves. Needs that higher push angle, just physics.

I always had my skidder man to use the arch when ever he could get to. But I never did cut my stumps that high. I always got as much of the butt as possible.

I've had my skidder man to push trees that set back like that a many times. Back in the day I owned a 540 B. They don't compare to the skidders that we use today, but that little skidder pulled a lot of wood in some rough places for years almost trouble free.

Dangerous and poor plan!
Notch, set hinge, leave trigger wood, set wedges, release trigger or holding wood. Use arch to push over.
