I once listened to this song flying down the highway in my pick-up, alone in the middle of the night, loaded up on Scotch. Not a good night for me. That however was NOT the night I quit drinking Scotch, but i did quit it soon after. Those were some dark days. I like the quote from Winston Churchill. “I have taken more from alcohol than alcohol has ever taken from me.” So, with that said, I stick to beer now and don't drive when I am loaded. Great song Pete!
So glad for you that booze is behind you. Good luck. My dad has been sober for over 40 years now but alcoholism took my sister and aunt from this world much too soon. Peace ✌🏻 Long Live Rock!
I like how Keith tips his drums at about 17 degrees. That's exactly the setup I would use if I was a drummer. Also, he's wearing the gas station jumpsuit/uniform with a patch or two. I remember seeing Clapton in concert wearing almost the same jumpsuit with the same "Esso" patch Keith has right above his heart. There are existing pictures showing him wearing it
Townshend still had a few years of increasingly hard drinking before him at this point before he would graduate to heroin and coke speedballs in the 80s. Guy used to sink 7 bottles of brandy every day.
The Who by Numbers is a masterpiece
My favorite album
Wow , that bass,

Glad you gave up drinking and The Who helped you do it. :)
Churchill used alcohol as a sedative since he was in the middle of fighting for the history of the world but he always can function.
Have a beer, or two, and listen to The Who. Keep listening and have a beer or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or seven and go straight to heaven!
Less is more.
I would quit drinking but damnit I’m not a quitter
Insane - imagine how hard it must being being Townsend with Moon and Entwistle behind you trying to run you off the road!
Yes Mr Townsend, there is a way out! Glad you found it as I did after living in the bottle for 50 years, amen.

! ! ! ! THERE AIN'T NO WAY OUT ! ! ! !
The way out was the way in.
Maybe it's the lighting, but the booze seems to be making Peter look older than the 30 years of age he was at this show.
