Cody has now made his own show "the survival show with Cody Lundin". Check his YT channel and website. The season 1 is great... I can't wait to watch season 2 !
@6:15: " The network said they enjoyed working with Cody and wished him well "; so they terminated his employment. Makes about as much sense as a screen door on a submarine. When they ended his participation on the show, they ended themselves.
Teti's an idiot. He tried to be hard and show how a "highly trained military person" survived. (I don't actually think he was highly trained.) That's all great, but how is it helping the usual person that gets lost in the woods? I see it all the time when out. Those that show up with no day pack, no water or a small plastic 12oz you get at the store, no way to build a fire, completely unprepared and obviously not "military". How is doing things like a high speed operator going to help them? Cody's approach and even Dave's was much easier for the "common" person to adapt to. Teti was just trying to be the tacticool guy like he was hard. I remember once he showed pictures of him doing something and the face was burred out. I mean come on bro, you're on TV. People know what you look like....
@@echo6echo419Joe Teti said he completed Combat Diver school. He didn’t. He had a 214 that had “ Reconnaissance Man” Haha No such comments ever on a DD-214, bullshit. He didn’t speak for us. CIA agent man! Lol
That show died when Dave left. Cody alone was not enough to carry the show, much less Cody and someone who is not Dave. Their chemistry is what made it.
I think anyone in his/her right mind would be afraid of Teti. If he sounds like a maniac, acts like a maniac, he probably is a maniac. Teti spoke what he thought and felt. This makes him dangerous. Discovery was wrong in not going along with Cody.
a friend of mine went to his desert survival class said he was a very down to earth guy packed with information I seen him once at sky harbor airport but never met him.
"Cody's survival instinct didn't just suddenly appear, he was born with it". Perhaps im being a bit facetious here but every living thing is born with a survival instinct they just don't generally make an active practice out of honing their instinct into a finely tuned sense.
Best scene ever with Dave and Cody, Dave is smoking out an animal to kill, Cody is feeling bad for the animal, Dave looks at him and very seriously asks, "you're going to eat some of it if I kill it?" and Cody just looks at him and says "of course". Dave and Cody were the perfect team for both laughs and learning. Two different flows but they both seemed to get along and the vibe was of friendship rather than hostility like it turned out after Dave left.
I’ll never forget when they switched to the 3 day version of the show…. On the night before they go home that Joe Teti speared a wild hog to death that was very gruesome and painful for that hog.. they go on to have a few bites of the hog go to sleep and get picked up in the morning…. He was talking about this is survival but as a viewer I was like dude your getting picked up in 10 hours you’ll be ok seemed totally wasteful and it wasn’t a clean kill
Ok so I'm going to teach you how to survive in the wild. Kills hog carelessly and doesn't show how to use a animal to the fullest. It's probably was the cobra episode where Joe tried to go toe to toe with a 10 foot cobra standing 20 feet away. I mean it had a lot of usefull information but it was the worst place to get survival information joe is the dumb military dude trying to fight everything the reason digging down in wet soil to get water was shocking to him. And Cody literally made going out in shorts and no shoes in the wild as ok behavior and fine if a little skin is exposed.
Cody had the pig under control, it was already subdued, Joe interfered in a very unecessary manner by spearing the hog acting as though he was a really tough guy. It doesn't take much to kill an animal. It takes a lot more to control oneself and particularly one's ego.
@@tomlorenzen4062 Maybe you're the joke for sitting on your couch and calling people a joke for being open to things you know absolutely nothing about. You can no more prove Les is wrong than he can prove he's right.
He's a man of nature. I walk barefooted all the time and keep the feet tough as well as intune with earths energy, Kody is an old soul who lives humble and respects nature. I, as a conscientious woodland survivalist prepper, in turn respect him and his ideals as well as the creatures we share home with.
This Cat was so laid back in his attitude, and a pleasure to experience ,you know ,that other dude was a little uptight it seemed, I don't know ,hope they are doing ok.
Joe was a dick. Not necessarily unskilled. He did have a certain level of cheap toughness . He was untrustworthy. Dave told a few stinkers, not unheard of in that crowd. I would much rather work with Dave and Cody any day !
I could of swore that the news announced him dead from a helicopter accident during filming if I remember correctly, but I know it was mentioned and I was waiting to hear it in the video
The irony is that Dave told a single lie on his resume...when he wanted a job on a new television show (with a great salary). One lie, FIRED. Joe told dozens of lies, serious ones that include felony, theft, military lies, saying he was in combat, lies that harmed the reputation of esteemed organizations...yet Discovery said "We vetted Joe thoroughly," well after the lies surfaced, and Joe continues on the show for several more seasons. Huh?
The thing about Cody is that, in his 'course' and on the show, he only teaches people how to survive for 72 hours in the wilderness 'until theyre rescued'. What if it takes longer than that or if someone wants to live that way permanently? Hes no more a survivalist than he is a heart surgeon. Hes a hobbyist.
Especially when he drank his own piss (if it really happened and was not just staged) which was a stupid and under most circumstances or at least any I could think of. All his screws were not tight and he was "ticking".
The only thing I thought wasn’t ok was never wore shoes and that could be dangerous for him and his partner and sometimes wearing no shoes can slow down the pace …

Cody is so inspiring. The first 2 seasons were a symphony. Dave and Cody were a team like no other. I'm still watching the show today, in 2024. - The season was broken with the dominant soldier. - Even though Matt continued to ground the soldier in many, many shows. But Cody and Dave - That quality was unassailable-
Besides "Dual Survival" with Cody my favorite show was "Yukon Men", which didn't survive many episodes. I was always looking on Discovery Channel's webpage for any information regarding Yukon Men returning with no mention at all it even had existed.
It's always some selfish dork like him that ruins everything. They just don't care it until it happens to them and they don't see you unless you're in the way OR you have something they need.
All I remember is dude walking didn’t bring shoes and was barefoot in a snow blizzard in Norway and teddy freaked out about safety and putting everyone at risk. Kinda ironic that he said he left the show for similar reasons; only he was concerned for his health because the co-host was like ex military. It was drama - I watched on and off
That's really sad, I liked Cody alot. He was a great examples me of a man. He showed passive, kind, caring sometimes how some ignorant people would insult him and talk him down as a man, saying he was as feminine and soft but he showed he was twice the man as most of these people and those who pushed this insecure, fake, macho and masculinity men are suppose to act and be like. He was incredibly insightful, full of wisdom and and thoughtful. These other guys focused so much on risking themselves and over achieving for their objectives. Cody focused on what to do to stay safe, do things with minimal resources, taught what essentials could really help you not just in survival but in life itself. He always thought for both himself and the other guy.
Jesus spread God's love. I encourage you to do so as well despite our flaws. That's what is called unconditional love. Of course that doesn't excuse bad behavior because actions have consequences.

I always loved to watch Cody and his partner. Didn’t like when they try to put both against each other, but you could tell there was a difference between them. Cody is more fun loving and easy going.
Eh, it sounds like a fun challenge. Plus, you never know when you're going to end up in the wilderness without your shoes. All joking aside, it could happen.
@@highplains7777 The only time I ended up in the wilderness barefooted was when I had a quart of vodka in me. Woke up the next morning with frost and sand in my hair and thorns in my feet. Not pleasant.
He didn't go barefoot as a survival challenge. It is how he lives his life. Every day. If you watched the show from the beginning, his explanations for why he goes shoeless is fascinating, and makes sense. Plus it gave Dave a lot to make fun of in the first seasons! :) Solid Gold tv.
Once Dave was pulled from the show, which was a huge mistake, the show went downhill fast. It just wasn’t the same. I, and tens of thousands of others stopped watching the show after that. Everyone embellishes their resumes, we beef up the wording, we exaggerate our achievements, it’s a lie if you don’t write up a resume trying to sell yourself when applying for a job. Dave was no exception. He made the show in many people’s opinion, including my own.
Never watched very much reality TV because it was obvious there was fakery and staging of events. And most of it was just plain stupid. On top of that some of the characters brought in as "hosts" seemed wildly unstable and prone to lying. All of this has proven doubly true over time. But Cody Ludin has been around the bushcrafting scene for years and has always appeared down-to-earth and a positive presence. Joe Teti, on the other hand, comes across as a bit of a psycho. My personal theory is that TV--all TV--was introduced to soften people's brains for electronic capture and prep them for the main event: The Internet. The whole premise of bushcrafting is that there has always been an alternative. Nature is still there. Still waiting to claim its own.
I always thought Cody was the best and most informative instructor out there with respect to these type of shows....even though his trade-mark barefoot option seemed slightly over then top (I would have thorns and a bloody nails within 5 minutes). Cody was always a great host. He reminded me somewhat of Ben Rothlesburger with the NFL Pittsburg Steelers. He should have no problems being a key-note speaker at any of the multiple conventions that take place in the Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon, Grand Canyon, Death Valley or generally the Tucson area and deserts of the Arizona / New Mexico Regions.
Survivorman was the one I watched. Les did all of that solo and has even said some of the shots he hated doing because hed have to set up the camera, get the shot, then take the camera down.
Dealing with survival means dealing with challenges of the wilderness but dealing with outher humans also ! And makeing any situation work for you to insure your survival! No room for weak feelings
The first thing I do when building any deck before adding any pieces that synergies with what I’m trying to do, I add interaction. I believe as long as everyone is playing the same power level there’s no reason to get salty over a spell, especially if you’re not running any counters or ways of protecting your board
I have heard I think everyone talk shit about everyone in the survival show space.. except for Cody Lundin. Unless I am not aware of something, the dude is the real deal. Plus anyone who grew up and lived on the streets.. respect.
I don't care what Dave did, i would take him over Joe anyday. And Dave's joking attitude with Cody made that combo work great, whereas Joe was arrogant, a jackass, and I would take Dave, Cody and Matt no matter what.
There's only one of these survival shows that I watch...ALONE. No drama between cast, no naked butts parading around, no "tribal meetings". Just one person surviving as long as they can stay healthy, find food, and keep their sanity in a remote wilderness.
I mean Naked and Afraid is the result of executive's flogging a dead horse when Dual Survivals strategy of pitting the protagonists against each other failed miserably. You can just imagine those suits (who never spent a day in their lives actually out in nature) saying to each other hmmm now what can we add to make it better 🤔 when one of the hem pops up and says "No, what can we 'remove' to make it bootier"😂

it was joe tetti that was the rotten apple . he made a fight because he was walking with only socks and in shorts in a snow storm.
That was for the cameras
I’m sure that he told him that if they were in a real survival situation, he would have no choice but to leave him if he was injured from his own hubris
I always liked Cody. Dude is pretty much as genuine as it gets. Hope he's doing well these days.
I miss you Cody please get your own Show !!!
Yes luv!
Cody has now made his own show "the survival show with Cody Lundin". Check his YT channel and website. The season 1 is great... I can't wait to watch season 2 !
I liked his style I didn’t necessarily agree with everything he did but he was dead on about human beings ability to overcome
@6:15: " The network said they enjoyed working with Cody and wished him well "; so they terminated his employment. Makes about as much sense as a screen door on a submarine.
When they ended his participation on the show, they ended themselves.
Joe Teti was a creep,
Multi felon, thief and assault charges.
Really? Wow didn't know this....@TheLibbyjo
Lol
Kill kill kill was his moto.
I won't watch this show anymore. I want Dave and Cody back.... Then I will watch again...
Didn't Cody, after he learned that Dave lied about his background refuse to work with him?
Yep
I agree with you .
It was also put there by the crew. So, sacrificed and tortured in the name of entertainment. Disgusting show and individuals who participated.
Cody had the pig under control, it was already subdued, Joe interfered in a very unecessary manner by spearing the hog acting as though he was a really tough guy. It doesn't take much to kill an animal. It takes a lot more to control oneself and particularly one's ego.
@@ms16648 I didn't realize it was put there by the crew. If that is the case it was pure animal abuse.
Do a season with Cody and Matt that would be awesome
Les and Cody together would be something I would watch.
Les is a joke, still looking for Bigfoot
@@tomlorenzen4062 Maybe you're the joke for sitting on your couch and calling people a joke for being open to things you know absolutely nothing about. You can no more prove Les is wrong than he can prove he's right.
@@robosteveo total sellout.
cody is a fake
HE HAS LIVED IT ,YOU TALK ABOUT IT AND HE IS THE FAKE.!!!😂😢😮😅😊😂@@chadhaire1711
He's a man of nature. I walk barefooted all the time and keep the feet tough as well as intune with earths energy, Kody is an old soul who lives humble and respects nature. I, as a conscientious woodland survivalist prepper, in turn respect him and his ideals as well as the creatures we share home with.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. Your first two hosts were the best.
Canterbury was just being an employment survivalist. No bad. No fault. Dave is a rock star.
No he's not! He's a lying Stolen Valor wussy! Guaranteed you didn't deserve either!
🤡
This Cat was so laid back in his attitude, and a pleasure to experience ,you know ,that other dude was a little uptight it seemed, I don't know ,hope they are doing ok.
Cody & Dave was my favorite duo~! Bring them back Discovery.
Matt is a great survivalist also.
Joe and Cody hated each other they couldn't get along so he quit and walked off the set (this is how I remember it anyway)
I didn't personally care for Cody, but he did a hell of a job on the show
Joe was a dick. Not necessarily unskilled. He did have a certain level of cheap toughness . He was untrustworthy. Dave told a few stinkers, not unheard of in that crowd. I would much rather work with Dave and Cody any day !
I wouldn't work with any of those Stolen Valor Liars Cody was the only one with any integrity!
I could of swore that the news announced him dead from a helicopter accident during filming if I remember
correctly, but I know it was mentioned and I was waiting to hear it in the video
Anyone Watching The Show,Knew Joe Was Off And Came Across As A Ticking Timebomb..I Wouldnt Have Felt Safe Either.
Especially when he drank his own piss (if it really happened and was not just staged) which was a stupid and under most circumstances or at least any I could think of. All his screws were not tight and he was "ticking".
100%
One of the reasons why I don't watch the Discovery Channel anymore.
The only thing I thought wasn’t ok was never wore shoes and that could be dangerous for him and his partner and sometimes wearing no shoes can slow down the pace …
Yup he slowed down his partner a few times
(The day Joe meets Cody)
(Disclaimer: Not exactly verbatim)
Joe: "Hi there. You must be Cody. I'm Joe. I'm a highly trained mother freaking bad@$$ who drinks Peach Wine coolers 🍷'
Cody: "Oh okay. I'm Cody. I have a college degree and I've been teaching wilderness survival for many years. Glad to meet you. My last partner seemed to have embellished his military career in order to get the job. So I'm pleased to have you aboard."
Joe: "Yeah, so I heard about Dave. He isn't a highly trained mother freaking bad@$$ like me. I'm 100 percent authentic."
Cody: "Okay cool. But I heard you the first time."
Joe: "Dude! Don't get sassy with me. I'm just pointing out that I don't embellish anything. I'm Special Forcedly Trained.. and.. "
Producer: "Special Operator"
Joe: "Hey! HEY! Don't you f#king interrupt ME!"
Producer: "Sorry.. I was just pointing out the facts about you. Sorry."
Joe: "oh.. yeah yeah.. Operator.. Special Forcedly Trained Operator. Also an Assassin and Hitman. Dogs included. 🐕
So anyways, Cody, I heard and see it's true that you don't wear shoes. Why the F#k not?"
Cody: "Well, I do it because it makes me feel closer to nature and feels like it allows me to take moving about slowly and methodically observe my surroundings better and...
(Joe interrupts Cody)
Joe: "methodically? What the f#k does that mean?"
Cody: "in an orderly or systematic manner"
Joe: "Oh .. I literally didn't know that."
Cody: "Oh. 🤔"
Joe: "I guess you can't run fast huh?"
Cody: "When necessarily I can."
Joe: "Whatever... I wear boots because I'm a muther freaking bad@$$! Remember, a highly trained Special Operator."
Producer: "Joe, we still are trying to find out any evidence."
Joe: "Hey! HEY! You almost interrupted me again. Careful dude! Besides, it's classified."
Producer: "Sorry. We just don't want another embellished situation."
Joe: "Look you muther f#ker.. I'm about to make a freaking spear. You definitely don't want me to do that.. remember, I'm not going to say it again. It's all classified. So classified that the classification of it all is unclassifacational."
Producer: "sorry "
Joe: "F#ker made me lose my train of thought."
Cody: "All good. I get the gist of what you are saying."
Joe: "Cool. So look. I'm ready to get this show on the road. When is the director getting here?"
Producer: "Director? No no.. it's a semi reality show that shows survival scenarios."
Joe: "Oh f#k! I ain't going to meet and work with that Spielberg guy?"
Producer: "No Joe. Our budget isn't that big."
Joe: "Well f#k man! I'm gonna get paid right?"
Producer: "Yes Joe."
Joe: "Awesome. Those Peach Wine coolers 🍷 can get expensive."
Cody: "I guess so. 🤔"
Medic: "Just don't show up buzzing hard and dehydrated from that fruit drink 🍷 when it's time for filming."
Joe: "What the f#k? You don't think I can handle my liquor?"
(Joe decides it's time to make a spear) 😮😮😮
Joe: "Has anyone seen a godd@mn f#king dog around here? I'm god#mnn f#kn mad Now 😡!!!"
Uh oh 😮
🐕 Woof woof 🐕
Poor pouch 😢
Hey Joe.. ask any Inel Department where I'm at... They know..
I really want to drink a Peach Wine cooler 🍷 with you
🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
the funny thing is that dave probably is good at sniping as well, he's literally knowledgeable on everything and probably knows more about guns than most army guys. Dave shoudla wrote on the resume that he is better than the army not IN The army
it doesn't take jack squat to know more about guns than 99% of the military guys
Joe Seemed Ok At First But Came Across As An Arrogant A Hole.
Nope
Dave and Cody should start their own youtube channel about survival. ❤
Cody walked around in places no one would with bare feet. That is crazy and I imagine that went south later on for him.
No - he's fine!!
@@cecileroy557 I liked Cody but he was impossible some times. Talking all about having common sense only to ignore it to suit the no shoes thing... Shorts in winter too... Just not common sense coming from a common sense mentality. Kinda of selective intellect..
That had a goldmine with Cody and Dave. If it ain't broke don't fix it
To this day I miss Cody Lundeen very much. I hope he is ok but he was right to leave when it became a concern for his safety and that of his team. Discovery made a huge mistake.
He was a clown
Yeah like the military guy oversees who went on a rampage and murdered a bunch of people and then gets a pardon from the orange cheeto.
@@chadhaire1711 Cody was the one who always made the fires, built the different types of shelters, found the water, found the food, surveyed the land properly, etc. etc. etc. Joe was the clown...who just liked to argue and kill things.
Miss ya Cody. Maybe you can sign with another network. Teti was a jerk pure and simple.
Cody wasn’t paranoid. His senses were so strong.
Making ppl look crazy, is nothing new under the sun.
True
Cody is a fuckin Unit. I hold him up high with Les Stroud. Dudes are absolutely insane. So much knowledge...
Cody is so inspiring. The first 2 seasons were a symphony. Dave and Cody were a team like no other. I'm still watching the show today, in 2024. - The season was broken with the dominant soldier. - Even though Matt continued to ground the soldier in many, many shows. But Cody and Dave - That quality was unassailable-
Teti was a huge mistake the guy was a jerk and it showed
Besides "Dual Survival" with Cody my favorite show was "Yukon Men", which didn't survive many episodes.
I was always looking on Discovery Channel's webpage for any information regarding Yukon Men returning with no mention at all it even had existed.
Cody explains a lot more during an interview with Art Bell. It's on TH-cam and it's fairly detailed.
We loved Cody!❤
We all know it was slow Joe who ruined the show
It's always some selfish dork like him that ruins everything. They just don't care it until it happens to them and they don't see you unless you're in the way OR you have something they need.
Cody is hardcore. When he went in the snow up in the mountains, and they forced him to wear socks, it became really obvious.
When he finished walking all day in the socks, didn't he squeeze the liquid out of them into a pot, boil it, and drink it like a cup of tea?
It sucks when you have a morality problem with people telling lies, and disrespecting them selves. They need Jesus.🙏
I was born and raised in a Conservative Christian family/church, but i've always said GOD'S one and only mistake was creating us human beings.
I agree with you 💯 .
Jesus spread God's love. I encourage you to do so as well despite our flaws. That's what is called unconditional love. Of course that doesn't excuse bad behavior because actions have consequences.
Cody Lundin!!! Just love watching him! He makes me laugh. What a gentle soul.
Wear is Cody today what is he doing now teaching classes privately I wish Cody would come back and do some other programs that's not the only one he can go and play with other ones he is the best
Cody and Dave are the real Duo Survival end of Story!
He lived happily ever after....
The no shoes policy of Cody, was stupid as fuck.
I always loved to watch Cody and his partner. Didn’t like when they try to put both against each other, but you could tell there was a difference between them. Cody is more fun loving and easy going.
He saved a lot of money on socks and shoes.
Discovery should bring Cody and Dave back, bring back the OGs
When they gave Cody the boot, I gave Dual survival the boot. Can't stand it without Cody. Won't even try to watch it.
Cody faces survival challenges every time he step out into the wilderness barefooted. Ridiculous!
That is f****** ridiculous, bare feet you got to be f****** kiding me
Eh, it sounds like a fun challenge.
@@jackfanning7952 lol
He didn't go barefoot as a survival challenge. It is how he lives his life. Every day. If you watched the show from the beginning, his explanations for why he goes shoeless is fascinating, and makes sense. Plus it gave Dave a lot to make fun of in the first seasons! :) Solid Gold tv.
discovery really dropped the ball, dave and lundin was the best dual.
Whatever your opinion on it, I still found the show extremely entertaining.
Cody and Dave 🎉
He put his team in Jeopardy by not being fully prepared specially in a below zero environment
Cody is a rock star! Dual is one of my favorite shows.
Joe killed a dog? 🤬 Shameless man.
I found Cody to be an egomaniac.
So Dave claimed to be an Army sniper to better his family. He didn't better his family he disgraced his family by Stolen Valor!😡
Cody is the Brett Hart of survival TV.
Cody was good, levelheaded, mellow, just seem like a well-balanced good guy!!!
Really sad that a good person has to get screwed.. but love and light will win that what Cody has a soul
Nope
I learned so much from Cody. Miss him.
Leave it to TV producers to screw up a good thing!😏
Dave not here! Joe blows, discovery channel like MTV use to have good shows then the pencil girlyman started suggesting yuppie contents
