If the production company brought back the both of them I’d continue to watch and learn, but I do not feel that what happened between the company and Dave and Cody was the main factors I believe because it was TEACHING TO MUCH about living off the land

Dave has hundreds of videos about Bushcraft and survival I've been watching him for years after this Cody still has a school and Dave has his own school now for years and years too. Dave's more out in the open and Cody's more to himself.

This show with this duo ended 12 years ago, and it's just as popular as ever. I can watch these all day and fall asleep with it. I hear Dave and Cody in my dreams all the time.

Yeah to be honest to Dave leaving was the first step towards the show breaking down entirely. Joe brought more drama in yes but this is a survival series not a reality series you don't want drama you want synergy between your co-hosts!

I watch this show in bare feet in my Lazy Boy, it is not popular in my home, but they respect me as it is a lifestyle decision. I get a drink if I am thirsty just as fast as they get rescued.

I think people hate on Cody too much, saying “he wants to be indigenous so bad, he claims to be part of a tribe”. As an indigenous person myself, I believe he just has so much respect for the natural ways of life and indigenous knowledge. He knows what he’s doing, and I love the fact that a lot of his wisdom comes from mimicking and learning from native tribes around the world. In each video I heard at least one time he used an indigenous method/knowledge for something.
That's beautiful, and true. What an honor that a foreigner would fall in love with your way of life so much that he would dedicate his entire life to it.

Cody is a survival instructor at the aboriginal living skills school in Prescott Arizona. Wich he founded in the early 90s. Cody has full authority to use any knowledge he has. I don't know why people gotta hate one genius

I wasn't trying to complain, it was more of a surprise and a little frustration. I haven't seen many, actually ANY "premieres" that were longer than 4-5 days. There are only a few of these types of shows that I really have gotten into and I guess my impatience was on full display.

@@user-rr7es5ik7jactually this is one of the survival shows were very little was staged. the art of self-reliance is literally the most staged part of the show outside of major medical emergencies (I say that the art of self-reliance segments are staged but really it's just the people filming them pointing out stuff that they could use for it and then go through with it for the art of self-reliance segments. even those are incidental and only staged to as much as they could be because of the way the show works) that's why I really liked the series even once Joe replaced Dave
Bring them back, I'm sure they'd be happy to do it. What happened in the past doesn't matter, forgiveness would be gracious and we fans would love to see it

Everyone here seems to be complaining about it being 7 days. It is actually very beneficial for folk with a tight schedule so you can plan ahead on when to watch it. I doubt they were reeasing it any sooner so might as well tell us when they are going to.

The show was never the same once these 2 split up. It would have been better if they would have just let Cody go solo instead of putting him with the other guys. I still watch a lot of Dave's stuff on here. They're both legit badass survivalists and were awesome together on this show

I like this episode, the only thing I would have liked to seen was less time walking the salt flats and more time on hunting, shelter, finding water, and just how they dealt with the long night.

This is probably one of the best episodes they ever did. And this is the first time I've ever seen this episode and I've watched him since the beginning and I've never seen this one how crazy and weird but. This is one of their best videos ever and survival situations ever I think I love it so much I wish they would bring Dave and Cody back together again and do another series.
