    Thanks Jose this is very interesting! Useful to understand the biological attributes that make vannamei have such a competitive advantage. What would be useful also is a presentation on Kuruma prawn in terms of some of the sustainability aspects of its production. The HKSSC membership has expressed interest in this particular species. This is a fantastic site! Please continue posting. General knowledge on farming practices in the region delivered in an accessible way is certainly needed.

    The point about wide daily temperature fluctuations in the desert does not make sense to me, as this applies to land (and small water bodies). However, the ocean does not have daily temperature fluctuations, only seasonal ones (which are more pronounced the further away from the equator the location is).

      Hi, that can vary from 5 to 60, it depends on the supporting capacity of your farm and pond.
