    Keep yourself and manta rays safe when you go snorkeling with them! This tour does a wonderful job (plus their departure location is convenient). Book direct with them here and learn more (booking on our website helps us out at no cost to you): thehawaiivacationguide.com/activities/manta-ray-night-snorkel-with-sea-paradise/

    I did the one at Mauna Kea last year thanks to y'all and your amazing videos, advice, and itineraries - still think about how incredible that experience was almost daily - mahalo!

    A memo for some going to this, the other reason to go early besides parking is finding your touring company that you booked with. Theres a good 10 companies using the same harbor and it took me longer trying to find mine.

    Just purchased your guide through big island! Am looking fwd to using it! We are planning a trip for this dec.
    question: I’m not a good swimmer but want to experience this “outing” with my husband. Any thoughts ??? Tia from Canada🇨🇦

      thanks for grabbing our Big Island guide! You can do a ride along on this tour: thehawaiivacationguide.com/activities/manta-ray-night-snorkel-with-sea-paradise/
      They recommend being a beginner snorkeler and swimmer as you have to be in the water at night (safety thing). Do what you are comfortable with!

    We did this on our April visit, got skunked :( Sea Paradise was a good group though and would also recommend!

    Hey guys! I am booking my tour right now 😎 do you recommend the early tour or the late tour? Thanks! Love your content 😊

      The early tour may be better as the later tour gets you back to your resort late. Do what is best for your schedule, the mantas aren’t on a schedule

      Just got back from BI, every man and his boat is trying to cash in on the manta rays it seems, it’s a complete circus, I’m afraid.
      We didn’t see any the night we did it, nor were there any the night before, however we saw a couple from our hotel on the third night literally after all the boats bar one had given up and gone home. It was 2300 by this time, so if you decide to do it, I’d go as late as possible.

    Possibly a weird question... but would we be able to get an Uber next to the Nakalele Blowhole on Maui? Thinking about getting dropped off there after a tour, but then we need to get back to the hotel somehow

    • @TheHawaiiVacationGuide
      @TheHawaiiVacationGuide  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that would be tough. It is pretty far for an Uber to go, even if they were in kapalua when the request comes in

    Is this tour appropriate for adults who have never snorkeled before?? I noticed that they require to check a box saying that we are experienced snorkelers (and we’re not) so I’m hesitating

      I would not recommend going. While you hold onto a board for 45 minutes, if you get away from the group you have to be a good swimmer. It is very dark.

    What about the risk of shark encounters?

    • @TheHawaiiVacationGuide
      @TheHawaiiVacationGuide  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very low. One viewer said he saw one and the guide said first time in 17 yrs. Probably a reef shark which is harmless
