    The sad thing is that the friendly types of Manta Rays are going extinct due to them being easily fished by their friendliness and it left the reclusive types of manta rays in the gene pool, in the next 50 years it wouldn't be surprising if we wouldn't be able to interact with them anymore due to all ray with friendly personality has all been fished out.
    Just like the increase of tuskless elephant population in Africa.

    For a marine biologist you seem to not know how to treat the mantas. You should not be touching them with your bare hands. Their entire immune system is contained in a mucus membrane on the outer layer of their skin. Our hands carry a lot of bacteria and chemicals that can eat through that membrane. When she touches their belly it rubs that protective layer off of them and makes them very vulnerable to infection and disease. If anybody has the chance to see a manta ray please respect it’s health and comfort.

    • @PavitrStan4Life
      @PavitrStan4Life 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If a single touch of the hand was enough to kill a 20ft manta ray, don’t u think they would’ve died off by now? You do realize fish ATTACH themselves to these guys, right? A touch won’t hurt. Heck, a HUG won’t hurt!!

    I had the amazing experience to interact with a Manta Ray off the Kona Coast in Hawaii. It was at night, in a lighted area. It kept doing summer salts in front of me, within an inch of my body. It did this over and over. The mouth was wide open and I’m sure it was feeding. I couldn’t figure out why it kept banking so close to me. I certainly didn’t mind. It was amazing.

    0:12 funny she says that because I remember back in 2016 when the bloodmoon super moon full moon event was happening I saw a boomerang triangle like shape that was huge flew low to the ground pitch black like a shadow or fog, made no noise and was slow, I was so startled by it that I can’t even remember the details like if it had lights or the exact shape I just remember it had a point at the front of it and wings that looked like it flapped and or glided, it messed with my eyes because my first initial thought at the time was is this a dinosaur cause the wings moved but the more I stared at it moving slowly it looked still, like it was gliding, I only remember the feeling it gave me I was scared and seeing manta rays slowly swim above you gives me that exact feeling that the object did that night
