Like watching your videos. Took your advice and picked up some ThreeD blades and headed to Barcelona on Saturday. We were able to get 9 nice walleyes using the snap weight system from your video. What size treble do you tie on for the second hook? Thanks in advance and keep the videos coming!!
LOOKING AT YOUR LOWRANCE WHERE DO YOU SEE A THERMOCLINE SETTING UP? WHAT DOES A THERMOCLINE LOOK LIKE ON YOUR GRAPH? WHAT IS 12.3? I FISHED THERE SUNDAY SAME DEPTH ALL SMALL KEEPER FISH. I HAD ONE REALLY BIG FISH ON I DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND BUT NOT A SHEEPHEAD BY THE FIGHT AND STRIKE IN 75 FT BUT LOST IT 20 FT FROM BOAT. BUMMER!
On our unit a thermocline shows up looking much like a pod of bait that just goes on and on and is solid. You will see it off the bottom and generally there are fish marks above it and below it. The 12.3 is the voltage of our starting battery. Glad to hear you got into some fish!
@@willsworldoutdoors I'VE SEE THAT NEVER ENDING ON THE BOTTOM LINE IT USUALLY ORANGE BUT RIGHT ON THE BOTTOM NOT ABOVE THE BOTTOM AS MOST THERMOCLINES ARE USUALLY SUSPENDED? CORRECT? DID YOU EAT THAT BURBOT HOW WAS IT COMPARED TO A WALLEYE?
This is the 50/50 method. Snap weight is 50’ from the bait. The distance back off the boards depends on the weight used, trolling speed, and how deep we need to be. You can use the data from the precision trolling app to calculate all of that.
There a few different reels in the boat all from Okuma. We use a couple low profile convector line counters and some classic pro 302’s. Hope that helps.
good day on Erie - some nice Bigger fish ✌
Slowly but surely finding some big walleye this season!
Good one guys!!
Thank you, we always appreciate the kind words!

We didn’t eat the burbot but next time we will!
Hey guys how far from the bait are you attaching the snap weight then how far to the boards? is this the 50/50 method?
