Gotta love Burt dam, especially late season when all the salmon anglers are done for the season. Last fall was one of the best years for browns that I can remember. The steelhead seem to like sitting in that current up at the dam and browns down lower in the slower water. The wax worms work great in the winter months, Bill and Mike got me into using them as well. Well done, maybe I will see you out there this coming season.
That water marker you grab on to. Big browns hang around there. Pitch up into the turbines. If you have no bobber on. Just some splits and a jig you will slam browns.
Good job man! Nice browns. I normally fish the oak but my uncle and i might try burts this year. Ive never been. He has. I caught a 14lb hook jaw male brown last year. Now i need a big female brown or a big steelhead..? Fish on! 🐟🎣
Nothing works as good consistently on fresh ny browns and steelies as chartreuse egg sacs. Thats from 50+ yrs experience. Fresh run fish and chartreuse, everytime.

Looking forward to a great season as well. Cool spot to fish on the right days. Hopefully we’ll see you there!
Salmon run over?
@@bcbarrett67This video was filmed last fall. Should be just the start for this season, tight lines.

Thanks! Sounds like you get into some nice fish. Good luck this season!
When the turbines were both off I could see browns that were enormous. A guestimate 12-15 pounds.
There are always some giants in there.
Sweet you can actually fish that dam probably packed since they can't get up it. Where is this brother?? I live Ontario too
It’s on a Lake Ontario tributary and yes you can fish right at the dam.
Awe true I see new York so the states
What gram float?

One of my favorite baits as well.
Is this from October 2024?
I could be wrong but I’d say no because of the lack of anglers.
It’s from last Fall.
