And yet they both sound straight accurate to Beau's character

This episode proves the power of commercial jingles. "Why drink like an animal when you can drink like a king?" was the only detail that survived.
They also got "can't argue with the results". Not precisely, because the original word was effectiveness, but close enough I think.

Marisha's story actually had a twist for me, because when she said Beau ingested that herb to puke I thought the plan was to pretend to have food poisoning to ruin the winery's reputation. Then she went and puked in the wine.
In hindsight, that is the Beau thing to do.
That's where my mind went to first too, but possibly because that's what my most recent character would have done.

I love how Matt just keeps correcting place names and geography every time it comes around to his turn
The Jester one was particularly fun to watch Matt's mind break with all the wrong geography in the stories compared to what Wildmount actually has.
What really struck me is how he just started describing the Stassmans‘ gaudy interior design, which was never part of the story, but he _knows_ what their house looks like and he’s just DMing on autopilot.

More importantly, Marisha included a single "pop" when punching, presumably because she knew Beau wasn't a monk yet so could only do one unarmed strike a round, perhaps while correctly predicting that no one else could resist doubling it to a "pop pop."

Trying to pass off Beau's laid-back tone while frantically remembering details is a tough balancing act.

I don't feel like this one was very difficult and yet it still somehow became a different story. As for Taliesin's story.... I personally think a Cad story would be the hardest because nearly everything he says sounds super important, but a Molly story would be more entertaining and if he does a Percy story I want him to use his full name like 10 times and add in a bunch of complex engineering/gun terminology
Edit: If it's a Percy story Taliesin should start out with "My name is Lord Percival Fredrickstein von Musel Klossowski de Rolo III and I'm going to tell you a story about my family..." And then list all of his family members who have equally long names.
I actually think Cad would be easiest. Molly and Percy would both intentionally mess with people.
Hannah C I think the thing to do with a Cad story is make it like it’s already the second position. Give it a bunch of ums and uhs, backtrack to details he forgot, add in a few stammers

It's also important to keep in mind that Sam was number 2 this time. The 2nd person to go is always the most accurate to the original. The 3rd person begins the quick and dramatic downward spiral that Sam is known for escalating.

I like how Ashley fixed the timeline with the pop-popping of the guards. It is rare that the story can fix itself.

Not so rare. In every episode someone fixes a part of the story.
I'm kind of sad they missed Ashley forget the word for disguise: "I get myself different looking".
I love how their personal quirks of trying to remember the story, get taken by the next persons as part of the story. Like Liam's repeating the name over and over, and saying "we've established that" was due to his rambling and trying to get back on track, but it was assumed that was just part of the story. Or Talesin remembering the fighting at the end and saying it might have happened definitely happened was because he forgot and needed to confirm to himself whether it happened or not, and then it was assumed that was part of the original version and comes off like Beau tagged that on at the end and may not have actually happened.
Same, and not just in this one, in most of them, like how Two episodes ago people commented how Marisha's Zemnian accent sounded like Jester, so when she did Pike she commented that she was Pike, not Jester, and then everyone after made some comment about not being Jester, or having some Laura Bailey-Jester enegery.
Liam Ashleyed a lot harder than Ashley this time, imo.
Also, I was low-key hoping that the title of this one would be The Expositor's Exploits or something similar
And Sam nailed it the most. I feel like this episode was drunk...

The way Matt looks at Marisha in every single one of these episodes restores my faith in love. I love these nerdy people so god damn much.

Travis does not get enough credit for the most consistently accurate story teller.

Well, to be fair, Beau's intelligence was actually a 14 until they found the circlet in the happy fun ball that raised it up to a 19. And even when it was a 14, she purposefully hid that she was educated by talking like a punk. Now she lets her smart jock show, but Sam decided to do an impression of original Beau with even more attitude, and thus the dominoes were triggered.

Percy could go on about his younger years with Cassandra. Molly could weave a fantastic show of the circus. Caduceus sits down with a cup of tea and retells of a prank he pulled on his siblings.

@@copycrow4486 Not only that, but Percy has a ton of esoteric knowledge about science and history that he'd be able to easily insert into the story; I think a Molly story might end up around a more chaotic Jester, with his half-truths and eloquent wording; Caduceus would talk so slow and he'd definitely forget some earlier plot points and add them in later. Edit: Also I've just been reminded about Owlbear and I don't think I need to say why a story from him would be fun to watch and hard to retell
What I'm saying is, while I also hope he goes with Molly because we saw so little of them, each of his characters are going to be really entertaining and cruel in one way or another.

I like how every retelling after the first has a saying of something along the lines of "I knew it was the stotsmans" where they would be really bad advertising posters if that wasn't obvious

Since later versions dropped the rival wine family thing, I think they assumed it was meant to be an anonymous "fu" to the Lyonettes, rather than an advertisement.

Watching Marisha's story it seemed like it was going to be so much easier than the last few... and yet... apparently I was VERY wrong with how much it got messed up by the end. XD I LOVE these, hope they don't stop doing them now that they can actually somewhat go back to their normal things

Idk there were at least a couple curveballs like malalactic fermentation, and some of the little details
I don't think it's easier at all. It had just an insane amount of descriptive details, 18 months, 30 minutes, wine terms, the slogan, the drawing, the names are definitely not of an easy variety, and much much more. Sure if you approach this from logical retelling perspective, where you drop non-essentials the bones of the story are not that complicated. But that's not how they roll (pun intended), they try to retell everything and fake when they can't remember. Which is what makes it hilarious and awesome.

After quarantine, can we continue this but only 2 people in a room at a time. No watching videos, just 1 person enters while the other exits. For example: Marisha tells Sam the story, then Marisha leaves and Laura enters, Sam then tells Laura the story. Just so we can see the reaction of hearing the story for the first time.

It sounds like beau is getting progressively more drunk every time the story gets retold
And violent. In Marisha's story Beau punched one guard. In Laura's she decked two. In Taliesin's she beat up a bunch of them. In Ashley's she mowed down the entire family. Too bad Liam forgot that part, otherwise by Travis's turn she would have killed literally everyone in town.
