Software looks really well made, and not only that but you have all this great documentation/guides! Good job on all that, and thanks again for Open Sourcing it!
This robot is soooo rad !! I keep coming back to this project. I will be pulling the trigger at some point. I have zero need for it. But I still need to build it !! Maybe I will put my on wheels and train it to walk my dog, and get the mail for :) ... Or maybe work on my farm feeding my goats and chickens !!
This is fantastic. I have built 3d Printers from scratch and want to see if I can learn how to build and program this beast! I want to see if the end attachment can be set up to laser cut holes in ø100-200NB pipe.
If I wanted to increase the payload of the robot, how could I do that? Would buying stronger stepper motors work? Or is there something else I would need to change?
Hi Chris! I wonder if i can use my teensy 3.5 with ar4 teensy sketch. Just because i can't afford teensy 4.1 in my country. Also i'm not gonna use encoders with my robot. Will this affect controling robot with RoboDK? Thank you a lot. I love following your startups.
Man! That is some awesome work. I am checked out the wiring schematics. It looks to me that all feet of teensy has been used to control the motors, can you explain how can I control the motors and still allow rpi command to be send to teensy board? How is the rpi wired to the teensy? Thanks very much, respect.
the teensy board takes in serial commands. there is some info on this in this video th-cam.com/video/RckTj0h5LnE/w-d-xo.html please email me if you have any other questions, I dont always catch all questions from youtube comments info@anninrobotics.com
Hello! Great robot, Ive had a blast building it thus far! I just got to the software interface and when I run the tests from this video, no numbers pop up at all. it just states that the program is running in green letters. any help would be appreciated!
Hello, I had some issues with the alarm messages and in the last update moved the number to show up in the manual entry field - do you see the test values there? please email me at info@anninrobotics.com - I don't always see all the youtube comments but want to make sure I can help out.
Its shared source - free for education, personal, automating your own business - pretty much anything you want. If someone wants to sell an automated process that has my robot as part of it all I ask is that the robot parts be purchased from the website. There is a copyright / license file on the website if you want to look at it.
hii, i have a question about the ethernet cables, I was wondering if i can use the robot without the ethernet connection because right now im running a nema 17 motor and yeah thanks for taking your time to answer this, Thanks
Hey Chris. I noticed the Teensy comes with a blink sketch. However, after uploading the AR4 code, it no longer displays any lights. Do you think it would be possible to reenable the blinking loop for the LED so it can be used for debugging if issues arise down the road (a short for instance)?
Hello Christ, you are doing a fantastic job. I'm learning 3D printing, and I want to buy a printer that can print some parts of this robot; please can you advise a particular printer? I appreciate any help you can provide.
There are a lot of great printers out there, alot of people prefer the prusa, I have alot of people that use the ender3. I have an Anycubic megaS which I like because it's low cost, has dual bed rails and z axis screws and been a solid unit for me.
hello sir, i have builded the robot but using the tb6600 driver, and it seems teensy can only output 3.3v and not 5v.. so is there any solutions to this problem?, any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Chris. You doing next level stuff. Appreciated. Can you share the 2D drawing in your website.
Good project. Thanks for share
Awesome project. May i ask, where did you learn all of this?
Partially through my career as a Robotics systems engineer but mostly self taught and alot of persistence.

I think a blink could be added to the sketch. I'll look at that on the next update.

Hi Chris
Awesome....
what's difference of structural arm AR3 robot???
just only stepper motor ???
Yes that is correct, mechanically they are the same. the new motors are the same just with factory encoders added.
Can i use arduino instead of tennsy?
Hello Chris.
Could I control the 3D printed 6-axis stepper motor AR2 Robot by Teensy 4.1 and AR4 version program without an Encoder for a stepper motor ?
Because I have created the 3D printed 6-axis stepper motor AR2 Robot.
Thank you.
Yes you can, you would just run the motors in open loop mode in the software.

Hello Chris,
Thank you very much.
I'm really looking forward to your upgrade with the RoboDK.
And maybe I will make a new version of AR4 with the control RoboDK software.
Does the Software allow conveyor tracking and conveyor following with the help of an external conveyor mounted encoder?
SOS LO MAXIMO
brilliant
Какая стоимость ?
It works with RoboDK?
Chris, has anyone ever told you that you sound like Patrick Warburton :-)
no not yet, my wife says I sound like Ben Stein and everyone at work gives me a hard time that I sound very boring :)
@@anninrobotics 😂
Did you downloaded the Robodk?
RoboDK is still working on the driver, I contacted them yesterday and they are swamped with other projects but hope to get it online soon.
Hi Chris,
Can AR2 robot work with AR4 software?
You could run the motors in open loop mode in the software but you would need to upgrade to a teensy 4.1 or to control the robot.
👍
