    Mark,
I’ve been practicing photography for a long time. Only after I retired from my real job 10 years ago did I get very serious about my hobby. I just wanted to tell you that you have been a very big part in my recent photographic growth. I love your tutorials and the way you present them. I appreciate everything you do!

"Boring" Blue Skies, Mark !!! If we ever get blue skies here in Ireland, for sure it'll be photographed; cloudy skies, we can export. :-)) Great tip and video, btw.

Mark, I am new to LRC and really appreciate you sharing these new innovations with us. LRC is a very busy screen. Could you make your mouse pointer larger or of a different color so it would be easier to follow your screen selections? Again, thank you. I never miss watching your channel each week and your words of encouragement to us new photographers!

You are teaching so many things that I have not been able to get out of other tutorials. I like that you show so I can follow along and that you simplify for someone that is not familiar with all the options and affects. There will be plenty of time to become an expert but you bring hope and joy for a beginner to actually edit and not mess up the picture as it was seen when shooting.
I love landscape and we all see something different making it fun.

Amazing, I struggle with exactly this! I was always playing with the highlights indeed, but it just wasn't doing the trick. Excited to try out this technique. Thank you so much for sharing :)

I've been using the sky mask a lot. By dropping the temperature as well, it will add blue to a bland sky if done subtly.

Most often i reduce contrast and boost clarity. Reduce saturation like you if needed.

Love the linear gradient intersecting with the sky mask. Very helpful. I feel pretty confident in my composition and camera settings when I’m out but your Lr tutorials have been extremely extremely helpful thank you Mark!

Encounter this often when I’m shooting drone sunset photos. I’ll be using this technique moving forward! It’s like you reached out to me specifically😂 great tip! I love how powerful LR is becoming. Less and less do I need to move my edit into PS. Very helpful! Keep up the great tutorials!

Many thanks Mark! Intersecting the sky mask with a linear gradient is something I've never tried, but I'll definitely do so to deal with "hard stop" horizons.

Easier way to get rid of mask bleeding is substracting with object selection. Just select a circle and paint it along the top of mountains.

I love watching you do editing in Lr. The topic may be something I have figured out on my own, but it is nice to see I am not doing it wrong. Now, this time, I was like, yup, I do that, and that, now that I didn't know. Using the + - tool in masks and the linear gradient on the horizon is a great idea. You never stop learning. Great video, Mark!!

Another great video. I have tried using the intersecting linear gradient on the sky and agree it adds realism. What I am reminded of from your video is that I have no idea how to use that color picking section that you used near the end. Do you have a video on that?

Hi Mark. Thanks for this. It's great how you can combine masks like this with a little imagination and thought. One slider I've never used in the mask section is the hue slider in the colour adjustments. I wonder if you've ever used it or considered covering it in a video. Seems a bit clunky to me but maybe I just don't know how to use it properly.

Also, using low-frequency local contrast on a (masked) sky can emphasize clouds without making high-frequency detail crispy. Taken too far it can look HDR-ish, but it can often work. Nice video.

Maybe its because I'm not a landscape photographer, but I feel like a lot of the amazing Instagram landscapes often have over processed sky. Especially when it comes to the luminosity. Often the sky looks way too dark for how bright the landscape is. Like where is that light coming from, you know? Do you feel like that too, or am I just not getting it? I think you did a pretty good job here though.

Did you do any editing of the upper section of the mountain after you fixed the sky? To me (a novice) it appears there is some detail that "I" would try to bring out. Thanks for the videos, I have learned a lot with you assistance.

Love these videos offering simple tips and explanations.
As I start to become more familiar with Lightroom, I've started to ponder how far should I go with edits as I continuously see images taken by other photographers that have clearly been edited and trigger a response of, wow, that looks dramatic but then I have to ask, did it actually look that dramatic in real life when it was taken as it almost looks too dramatic?
Its a fine line and I wonder with your experience, do your edits represent what it actually looked like or are they maybe adding a little extra beyond that?
There's no right or wrong, I'm just really curious?
