While out herping in the intense Texas summer heat I found some cool Striped Bark Scorpions. This is the fist of a series of videos I made during a trip to Texas. Like and subscribe for more!
I'm from Wisconsin so I don't have to worry about anything unless I go down south then I have to worry about the Wisconsin timbers, but you guys are in Texas and just flipping everything without gloves I would never😂
@@bioactivebuilds2296Great video. I saw scorpions when I was in Italy 🇮🇹 last July. I used an ultra Violet light to see them crawling on the stone walls of my family's farm house in Todibetto😄
@@emmicd11 It’s not a common occurrence but it does happen once in awhile. I’ve lived in this house for 8 yrs and I’d say we’ve found a scorpion between 5-8 times. Luckily it’s only been the striped bark scorpion (not sure if there’s a Texas specific one) and at least around here they aren’t…..medically significant. It’s like a bee or wasp sting. It does hurt but you don’t have to worry about getting medical treatment unless you have an allergic reaction.
happened to me once, in my bed. lesson for me was keep your mattress off the floor and on a frame. also check your shoes. my house growing up was infested with them. killed atleast one a week indoors
Those sucker punching scorpions are all over here in West Texas. You step outside you're either fighting a scorpion or a crackhead
Come where I live in tx we have tons
Are not ants the mortal enemy of scorpions ?????
Where were you looking? We were at Miller Springs Nature Preserve in Tempe and I wonder if there's some hiding there?

Those orange dots were some sort of parasitic mite I believe
Yay we're back :)
Those striped bark scorpions are docile compared to it's arizona cousin.
We Texans are very polite, even the scorpions
got stung by one of these in my bed once, hurts like hell
was waiting for that scorpion to run up his arm and sting him
Would probably make for a better video lol
