Les Stroud is the best. Man, this channel makes me so happy. Thank you for posting!

Only Les can make a scorpion look like something I'd want to try.

Hey, Les. It would be a good piece of info if you could address the best primitive fire starting methods for each region. i.e. I'm from South Carolina (one of the easiest locations for primitive fire starting), but I now live in Denmark. Completely different environment with different skill set needed. Btw, I've been a fan since your public beginning. You deserve every bit of fame and fortune and then some that comes your way. You are an inspiration to a generation. Thank you for everything you sacrificed for us.

After all these years still my favorite survival show and person. Always enjoyable, informative and relaxing. Cheers.

Les needs to publish a cookbook. Scorpion kebabs, rotten fish casserole, raw grub poppers... I’d buy it.

This is a repost. i figured out a good way to help Les's revenue without much effort. I keep a couple of tabs open and have multiple vis playing simultaneously. I let playlists run in the background while doing other stuff. Like it or not, agree or not, think it's right or not, those of you that will do whatever it takes to makes this channel succeed will appreciate the info. Those that don't, don't bother commenting, I'm not listening, or reading in this scenario.
I'm addressing a concern that YT doesn't count views that are muted. Having your volume at it's lowest settig before mute is virtually unnoticeable when listening to any other video.

Forgot to say, I think we owe it to Les to make him as rich as we can for all the knowledge and advice he's given us.. Oh yeah, and the TV genre. I watch the other shows just to see how ridiculous and contrived they are. I find it interesting that none of the following "Survivalists" on television have ever given Les his props or respect for opening a way for them to create a comfortable livelihood, not a single fucking thank you from any of them....

I agree man this guy alone kept my tiny brain at ease when it felt like the whole world was closing in on me no one to love me no one to love so I started watching Les and bought a tent and started camping with nothing but the tent and cloths on my back for 1-2 weeks at a time. He really brought me out of a dark place and gave me a sense of purpose. Now God gets all that glory but still he helped me before I found God and if stuck with me. And I recently found he has a TH-cam channel. And what a great platform it could be only if more people noticed. I would love to see this channel hit millions of subscribers but the cold hard fact Is that nobody remembers him or at least the people that did watch him before

@@justicepiatt4593 I try to post his videos everywhere I can. FB IG TW TT and so forth. Every persons timeline or feed I can. If we all did that we could make it happen. People will soon realize all those Bear Grylls types go eat Filet and Lax, wank and go to bed in 1000 ct bed sheets every night, while Les is losing 15 lbs-7kg in a week covered in his fly friends.

One of the most memorable moments from Survivorman was when Les ate a raw scorpion (in the Sonoran Desert, I think) and said something like “I can’t believe I just did that...”. Got a big kick out of that!

@Ethan Prior Yeah, that's probably it. I have to say I grew up eating shark. They're as common as the other local fish where I'm from, 2 ft, 60 cm at the most. You bump into them probably once a week just in normal swimming. Very tasty. But, another 100m out the big boys hang about. Usually once a year one will come in close enough to eat someone's little dog.

They don't look very tasty. Scorpions seem mostly exoskeleton. Not much nutrients you can get out of that.
