Fun facts: Scorpions haven't changed much ever since they walked out of the oceans 434 million years ago. They also used to about 6 feet long back then so have fun with that image when you sleep tonight! Also, the pectines are vestigial gills repurposed as sensory apparatus. Interestingly they can survive up to 4 days submerged in water. One other thing about pectines: The spokes model in the video is a female. Females scorpions are incredibly aggressive. Males are actually quite docile. Females have little pectines. Dainty things they can keep folded along their bodies. Males have huge pectines that often stick out from the sides or have to be dragged along the ground. Now ask yourself, "Am I brave enough to look under a scorpion to figure out if it's a boy or a girl?"
The level of details and graphics in this animated video is on another level.
I watched a lot of documentary videos about scorpions, but this one caught my attention just because of how cool this animation is. Thumbs up 👍
