Joe, when you asked Robbie (21:00) who did the best cover of "Light My Fire", I immediately said Feliciano.
I loved it when Jose' did it, as much as I loved the Doors version, but the moment it came on during "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood", man I got the shivers.
I grew up during that era and... the memories ?
    Great interview yet again. Brilliant.
July, 1967 the Doors played at my high school (Beverly Hills High) and few had heard of the Doors. "Light my Fire" was just getting popular. I remember being 16/17, and me and a buddy driving up Topanga Canyon to a club called "Moon Shadows" where his sister was a waitress (she snuck us in thru the back door) to hear Canned Heat and others.
Man, thank you for these interviews.

Robbie is a very underrated guitarist and it is great that you gave him this added recognition he deserves. Robbie’s writing is unique and the originality is unparalleled. Many people can play anything on guitar but, many can’t create a unique sound like Robbie.

In hindsight Morrison had one of if not the tightest backing band of the era. When Robbie mentions his flamenco background, Ray’s classical and blues style and Densmore’s jazz chops you realize the creative potential Morrison had behind him. Krieger is definitely underrated. Thanks for another informative well structured and filmed interview.

I'd like to ask Robbie if LSD influenced his music...was it a distraction....was it helpful....?
