I assume *"tick"* or tweaking is the reaction Vampires have when they aren't feeding or getting enough blood to quench their thirst. So humans nicknamed them *"tick"* kinda like how modern zombies are called *Walkers.* If thats the case it gives us a deeper insight on the desperate need vampires need to feed. Even the bliss they may experience once it is quenched.
It kinda does. For vampires, whatever the exact mythology, the need for blood is always paramount to humans needing food or water. When we don't get enough food or water, our bodies start to turn against themselves, wasting away or spasming uncontrollably. It's the same for them - they just have the luck to be similar to a bloodsucking creature with an unfortunately appropriate name

This kid was simply taught survival skills, and to prepare for possible hard times , such as whay went down in the movie. On a side note my parents taught me warfare and survival skills from the time I could walk. I was driving by 9 yrs of age lol.

I loved the fact that when she took her hat off in the tent, it did not show her reflection in the mirror. I like that these types of short films are trusting the intelligence of the audience to make their own connections. Great film!!! Amazing channel.
That was awesome! I like how she sharpened her teeth instead of brushing them before she went to bed! I would like to see this as a full length film, so we could get the front of the story and the end too! I am an old lady, I cut my horror teeth on black and white Vampire movies as a kid when they were only on either at night or on Saturday afternoon monster movies. All of the new film makers coming up in the world today gives me great hope for new ideas into some of the oldest monsters. Can't wait to see your next film!!
Intense from almost the very start & just ramped up from there! Yep, there was a LOT of content smashed into this short movie, which would be my only "issue", just 'cause now I'd really like to see it more fleshed out (hehe) in a longer version. Also, keep the lead (Ava Close?), she was amazing! Once again Alter, you spoil us, thank you!
This story idea was fantastic! Would have loved more explanation into the ‘donations’ and what they do with the ticks and how they came to be. Could have watched a full version of this.

Ok. That was cool how about a part two!! Since she sees her sister through visions maybe she’s still alive😳... She can go on a hunt to find her, part two she’s walks into diner trying to blend in but notice that most of their cups are filled with blood, as she begins to use her sense of smell she gets a vision of her sister hanging again with the blood lines hanging from her, as she looks around she notice the man that kidnapped her sister, so she begins to....... Can’t wait!!!!! ☺️😁
Read the description..it pretty much sums it up. But she is apparently the last in a family of vampires. They are trying to kidnap her to siphon her blood (healing properties) but she obviously has other plans.... 🧛♀️☻✌

Really liked Tick !! Very good acting and direction. And creating a parasitic symbiotic relationship between humans and these human-like ticks was a master stroke and something I’ve never seen before. Would love to see more of this story !!
One of the best Alter films I've seen in awhile. Something about it was ..perfect. the jugular scene and sounds and his actions were soooooo real to me. Most people overact or die instantly or move around too much. The gargling and whimpering was sigh😌🤗...perfect.
Hella subtle hints at the beginning. The guy got stabbed with a Normal knife and was fine, the flashlight, “daytime clothes”, all kinds of stuff. 10/10 Vampire vibes.

The red light was painfull, but even worse was the "tooth brushing", because it wasn't "tooth brushing"...my brain try to not think about it^^ I enjoy watching this and i really wish a full movie with this story....i love pandemic storys and vampires or something like this too. survival horror for a species^^ Great, thank you so much for this masterpiece!!!!
