Titanium rod are more for weight then strength, lighter the rotating assembly is the faster you can spin it, that's why the LS7 7.0 liter V8 has a 7200 RPM redline from factory
2jz engine has to be built and block sleeved to make 1000 hp reliable. I have friends with big turbo surpas who have down everything they tell me what happens

There are thousands of recipes for each, either can be made stronger than the other, or to have better attributes than another for the intended use, so there is no definitive answer. In this case you are correct. Titanium was chosen for its light weight and strength for the high revving application as opposed to billet aluminum of forged powdered metal.

It's a little strange. The left lane is pace lane. 40-50mph is target speed. Both vehicles need to be close together and close in mph in a zone designated by event. At that time there is a little stoplight (just past the regular tree). When light turns green its go time. Whoever crosses line first is winner. They stagger the classes based upon your qualification mph that you trap. They limit your break out speed about 5mph faster than your qualification to make sure you're not sandbagging competition.

Because most GM small block engines from 2005 on have really good rods and crank from the factory. The 97-04 gen 3 LS was good too, but the gen 4 rods were stronger. Pistons are usually the weak link due to tight ring gaps.
The ET doesn't apply to roll racing. At this particular track, the coned section, where the cars need to be paired up, is about the 60 foot mark. There is a green light further down from the tree that is triggered by someone in the stands that is holding a radar gun to verify entry mph

LS7 all it needs is different pistons, the crank is forged from the factory and it’s paired with factory TITANIUM connecting rods
All LS motors have a forged crank. Even the truck engines.
Yep...pistons are usually the weak link due to tight ring gaps but the rods and crank are pretty strong on most gen 3&4 LS stuff.
