I Talked to a Camera Every Day for 30 Days

- 30 Days ago I started a challenge where I would speak to a camera every day for at least 5 minutes. I did this with the hopes of becoming more comfortable and confident on camera. I think the challenge was a success but there’s always room for improvement.

Thanks for sharing this Matt. Great job on following through with your goal. Also, good job setting up and doing lighting on days while the power was down, that had to tough to get through.
Thank you! It was tough, but because the challenge wasn't about creating a good video every day, it was easy to look past the bad lighting.

I started this challenge 4 days ago, but the second day I missed it (got lazy), yesterday was the 3rd day, total i have recorded 2 videos, I am uploading those videos in youtube (privately) right after finished recording, I am sh*t on those videos till now, I will public it after I get little comfortable and confident in front of camera. I am 29 and i will be 30 on Nov 1st this year.

I can see the difference from Day 1 to Day 30. You seem more confident and a lot easier to communicate to form sentences. Thanks, this motivates me to do the same thing. I can read a script from a teleprompter but not so good as improv with only an outline, or speaking without a script. This is a good idea!
Yeah it's really uncomfortable in the beginning, but as you do it more often it becomes a lot easier. Also I think it's good to allow yourself to make mistakes and stumble over your words. Good luck with the challenge!

Hey man, thank you for your comment! The videos aren't that great, just me basically saying "umm" for 10 minutes pushing through the discomfort. It's still very weird, but will only get better with time. Hopefully I can find the time to start posting more regularly again.

Hey, I appreciate the message! I've been a bit busy with university. I'm in my final year of industrial engineering and I'm working on that. With that being said I fully intend on uploading again (and keeping a consistent schedule)
Starting to finally start shooting videos again after having my go pro hero8 since release and the newest iPhone 15 pro max I think I want to try this challenge for my channel
I definitely recommend it! Its uncomfortable at first but 100% worth it.
