the fact that Manon didn't show up to rehearsals probably explains why she didn't get many parts I think which is unfortunate because she has the ability to be a great artist.
From when the intro video was released that girl has been attracting stans from left and right like everyone is rooting for her but her not showing up to REHEARSALS I know we are not suppose to judge she might have school work she's dealing with but I feel she might have changed her mind

Yeah ikr, everyone was bashing Brooklyn for having most of the lines but now I am sure it has cleared most people's doubt, turns out there is a reason Manon had few lines. That's why I am telling you people don't just vote based on assumptions

The fact that Melanie caught Lara and Nayoung’s synergy is CONFIRMATION those two slayed. Like, they really did stand out the best amongst the vocalists IMO.

Gotta be conscious of what they want you to see vs what actually is. We dont have a static live performance to measure if that's the case. HYBE does this all the time...they'll edit, cut, line distribute to present to you the concept of Slay. So yeah, they've had a year, the handlers have probably predetermined who they want and are now presenting their favs to "Slay" which is reality, but sadly at the expense of the talent of others and their fanbases. HYBE is corporate greed at its best.
this is why i would like to have normal episodes, specially when the votings are open. they said Manon missed rehearsals but we dont know why? why would they give zero context... also it would held build a bigger fanbase and know the girls chemistry and teamwork better.

Nayoung is so magical and touching , I always feel an explosion of feelings on me, her vocals is so delicate and unique, and her charisma is on another level…She is my favorite with no doubt. Every single time that she sings, I feel so alive.

However, it'll be tough bcs the members are representing their own country, which means it's kinda like pageantry. People will support their country's representative.
i hoped HYBE would be better than this, and do this trick to push someone forward. But yes, its not only they who produce / finance all, so they are influenced by investors
I don't think everyone in Team A's vocal was able to shine especially due to the line distribution and the song choice. I agree that Lara, Samara and Nayoung shined a lot, and the voice blended. I didn't know Manon couldn't attend some of the rehearsals, maybe she was sick? and the fact that they say that it definitely affected her performance means she's even better than how she performed. I wish we could see her more. Hybe should have just give each trainee an individual video as 1st mission

Melanie fontana has been exposed for racial remarks on twitter. Absolutely vile comments. A billion dollar company(HYBE) doesn’t care and here she is. Judging a competition that’s incredibly diverse. This is insane.
I think how it is also very clear in the commentary because of her mainly saying the white contestants did better and where “leading” the performances.

I wish the judges had told us why manon didn’t attend rehearsals like was she sick or something. Cause now it makes her look like she’s not as determined to debut. I feel like she’s definitely better that this performance since they were dissapointed, however she was barely given any lines or time to shine so as a viewer we hardly got to see it ourselves. All I was rooting for Sophia, Lara, Samara, Nayoung, Marquise and Megan as of the moment.
Honestly Samara stood out the most for me during the first teaser and though she had little time on camera this time she still made a huge impact. She has to be selected.
Hybe for the next round should keep a songwriter/vocalist guest advisor, but also include guest advisors that are also choreographers/dancers. I really want to hear an expert opinion on who executed the choreography the best for the next round. And the more guest judges mean we can hear differing opinions on who did well.

I wish Sung Deok could have given his opinion about the dance performances, being BTS and TXT choreographer I wanted to hear his opinion too.

There have been many incidents where Filipino contestants were included just for viewership (ex. international beauty pageants such as Miss U) There are even content creators who purposely mention the country just to get engagements. Mind you, with many overseas Filipino workers (medical professionals such as nurses in the US, Can, UK, Aus, etc), it is the Filipinos revolving around the world. Not to mention the thousands of Filipino seafarers crossing across the oceans as well. Go to the Middle East countries, you will definitely bump with Filipinos.
So, it's neither whining nor thinking that the world revolves around Filipinos. In fact, it is the other way.
My point here is that it is proven how social media marketers often target Filipino audiences since engagements are guaranteed. This is the situation that should not be the case here; hence this sentiment.
Sophia thankfully ranked within the top 6 in Mission 1. It's still far from the end but so far, things are doing well.

ILIYA is such a great singer and she blended so well with Lexie and Karlee, her voice makes me feel the song and emotions she expresses. I DEFINITELY ROOT FOR ILIYA 💜💜💜
The girls that stood out the most in each performance to me are: Iliya, Lara, Adéla, Ezrela
We have to see the singers dancing and the dangers singing to make a further decision. That would solidify it for ME. So far I have 3 fav based on talent only for what I can see and their experience since childhood. IF one is not getting along. I would definitely and sadly not vote for that person. I hope people understand that and not get angry and start bashing the group just because their choices didn't win.

I love that Mr. Son is working with the Dream academy girls but I'm kinda sad we didn't hear his opinion as a choreographer, his work is the foundation of big hit/hybe dance style so I want to see his feedback

Yes, it was the same impression I had regarding the two vocal teams, group "a" more like solo singers singing together, on the other hand group "b" seemed to be more in harmony, as a group. I really hope that Samara debuts, her voice is like an angel, her talent is undeniable.

Sungdeuk Son (the Korean guy in the video) is a multiple-award-winning choreographer who has been BTS's main choreographer and performance director since the very beginning of Big Hit Entertainment.

Manon needed more lines. Her voice here is the one that stood out the most to me. Brooklyn had the most lines but she didn’t sound good to me. She at times was screaming.
