LaMelo has more to do for Charlotte, but Tyrese has been so damn efficient and is a massively winning player. Plays like a vet.
Without him, the Kings would easily have the worst record in the league. It's sad to say, but he's already their 2nd most important player. He's that good/they're that bad.

@Kyle Deming Any indication that they will try that this year? Doesn't seem like a difficult change to implement, especially if they fire Walton and bring in some new staff.
@Kyle Deming I expect walton to be fired pretty soon after the all star break. Maybe a couple trades will happen as well including barnes and whiteside. Barnes has been quite good this season, and his trade value is high. Not sure how he fits into their long-term plans though.
Are you failing to realize that the Charlotte hornets are in the East 🤦🏽♂️ and the Kings won 9 straight against the best teams in the NBA .. and are in the WEST👈🏽 there tanking best draft in Years coming up
@@baltejbains5959 there have been potential indications recently with Walton playing Bagley much less (and the Kings playing much better). He didn't start last night 🤔 they started Haliburton at the 2, slid Buddy to the 3 and Barnes to the 4, which is probably what their starting lineup should have been all along.

I'm surprised you dd not highlight the way he anticipates things on defense. It is truly one of a kind, specifically how he baits experienced players into making passes that he is poised to pick off. It's not just that he plays passing lanes well, he intentionally leaves them open , only to pounce, revealing himself to be the mastermind puppeteering the play the entire time. It's extraordinary, and I think bodes well if he can add size/strength down the line.

Even if he doesn't add substantial size and strength down the line, that instinct in his defensive game proves how good he could be in a roster that is in total winning situation. He'll definitely find himself in a playoff situation down the road and will be a household name that way. Besides already having a name that sounds like a household name.

Actually this season has turned out as good as we could have hoped. Fox is improving, our rookie is a stud, our vets have trade value, and the tank is working, with Luie most likely out this summer. That was litterally the best-case scenario for this year.
@@alexcantin2246 Facts, fans expectations for the team changed when Kings went on that small winning streak, but this was always supposed to be a rebuilding year.
@@zubinmendonca3731 Agreed, the Kings are a team of streaks, it was predictable that it would last. But I'm very happy with the news that came out of that Sam Amick Athletic article that touched on the Kings desire to rebuild this year. Monte's vision seems perfectly in line with mine, so that makes me happy. Let's just hope Luke is gone between our last game and the draft.
Haliburton and I are the same age, are from the same state and actually played at some of the same AAU tournaments in high school. You could tell there was something special about him. It's so cool to see a guy that I actually have some ties to succeed at the highest level of basketball.

Its so simple. He plays WINNING basketball. Defense: long, athletic, guards 1-3 well and plays the passing lanes hard. Offensively: shoots the 3 at 43%, insane floater game, doesnt shoot mid range, runs the pick and roll like an all star pg. not to mention his first nba turnover was an intentional shot clock violation after he single handedly beat the denver nuggets in like his 11th nba game. Such an intelligent player and cant wait to see him start next year

I love Bill but “NBA University” with KOC, J. Kyle and Tjarks is fucking excellent. Lately, at least Bill has had Zach Lowe, Tjarks and some other decent guests on. I know The Ringer is his platform but the young guys really are great and fun to listen to / watch.

I haven't seen a whole lot from Haliburton but from what I have seen he plays like a vet and makes good decisions. He could definitely turn into a star, the question is how high is his ceiling?

I know the kings have been rebuilding since before time, but I think everyone but fox and hali are tradeable. Those two legit remind me of killer IT and sniper Dumars. Wonder how much Dumars has interacted with Hali cuz they are so similar imho
Defly baggley has showed promise but hield has to be traded at this point
The rest of the Kings outside of Fox/Hali are tradable and Holmes is mad value for what he's signed for. Thing is how much are other teams willing to buy into what the Kings (fire) sale? And do those respective teams have a player that the Kings are looking for moving forward to 'pivot' their position with their core? Overall Kings need another number 1 player as Fox isn't the real #1 threat and Haliburton is their best #2/#3 glue guy kind of player to make it all work together.

I think this report is accurate and what's big to me is he has the highest BBIQ I've seen from a rookie in years, but it's hard to see him on a superstar usage

granted i am biased as an Iowa State fan, but I really hope he has nothing but a long prosperous future in this league. Possibly having that future with him on the lakers and THT still being there as well. Again, i'm just a "tad" biased.
I know it would be s very crowded backcourt but I'm loving the idea of the Kings getting Jalen Green in this draft. His potential to either be instant offense off the bench or an off-ball cutter/spot-up shooter for Tyrese or Fox would be so big for the Kings. Not to mention they'd become one of the most exciting teams to watch in the league
