    2:24 I say this all the time. People forget just how athletic Cp3 was before his knee injury. The way Ja morant has been able to break people down off the dribble and shoot his little floater reminds me of cp3

    • @lunacy5510
      @lunacy5510 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agree. CP3 is the reason why I even care about basketball and Morant's CONTROLLED athletism really reminds me of CP3 which in my opinion is a great sign that probably he could also end up being known for his longevity just as CP3 unlike the majority of other athletic guards. My favorite young guard is DeAaron Fox and sadly I can't said the same about him yet and at this point he reminds more of John Wall who didn't age nearly as well, but he is getting better and there is still time for him. However, how controlled yet still fast and explosive Morant is only in his second year is extremely impressive.

The only reason why he wasn’t is because it would have violated the chargers because it wasn’t designated in his contract as a player coach 🤣 also if you wanna see how good lowry is at being a floor raiser, watch the 30 point comeback vs the mavs where it was Lowry & basically a g-leauge team.
      I respect the hell out of Chris Paul and one area he’s better at than kyle is as an isolation scorer, his craft with his handle can open up any short.

    I'm just a minute into the video but I can tell you some commonalities between these three players. It's the ability to see the floor very clearly. The ability to slow things down when you need to slow things down and to pick it up when it needs to be picked up. Being able to pass is probably the last skill that you're going to lose. It probably requires the least amount of physical ability to maintain at a high level. Youngsters can score but veterans can always see the floor. If you look at Nash and Stockton you see the same thing that you see in Chris Paul. A smaller floor general who has eyes in the back of his head. That's something that doesn't go away.

      I think part of the issue is you rely on your 6' or 6'1" guard to create scoring opportunities for the team for about 45 minutes, but in crunch time you rely on them to get you the tough buckets late in a playoff game. That puts you at a physical disadvantage compared to leaving the last shot to an MJ or LeBron.

    Still can't believe that those 3 great PGs mentioned did not win at least one championship in their whole careers.

    What CP3 has lost in athleticism after his injury, he gained enormous basketball IQ.

    I believe both Luka and Jokic will have this longevity. Both are high functioning super-computers who do not depend on their athleticism as much.

    Young Chris Paul was an insane athlete. His quickness was crazy. He'd get like 6 steals regularly and I remember how he just was always right in front of the rim hitting floaters
