so nuts. I used to be friends with him. when he was working as manager of journeys at rockaway mall! I doubt he'd even remember me, but my boyfriend at the time knew/worked with him. I have a burned album from Brian from when he was in the band 'this charming man' - I am so happy for the fame and exposure.
This is absolutely the best thing I have seen in awhile. I would love to talk music with Brian any day of the week!!

What Brian said about the Clash and the Replacements, I couldn't agree more with... I like the in depth lyrics from the Clash "Give 'em Enough Rope" and "Let It Be" from the Replacements on, more so than the earlier stuff. Everybody talks about the first Clash album being so great, I'm not a big fan of "Sorry Ma..." or "Hootnanny".

I should have stayed with it... Mr. Fallon is younger than me by about 7 years, but we are pretty much the same up until about 1995......... RUBY HUE, denver, co 1990's.... big dreams never came true. The 'Mats live on!
Great interview. @39:06 Strip away the pop recorded version of No Surrender. It's a brilliant song. worst possible version is on record. @41:30...i was scared of the same thing. but ended up meeting him twice....and glad i did. He didn't disappoint, and was cool.
Gorman Bechard's 100% right the four demos on the Sorry Ma reissue were so much better than the final product, especially Raised in the City.

The whole "Replacements and Jawbreaker aren´t that good" was just a provocation to the ortodox guys at punknews.com. Fallon is a huge Mats fanboy.
It's weird. He seems like such a big fan here, but he also did that interview where he said "The Replacements aren't that good."
