@aussiesurfer28 Music influences include springsteen (obviously) who also did one of their songs with them on here (look up springsteen 59 sound), lots of soul legends especially Sam Cooke, old punk bands, and musically The Cure and The Replacements from what I've heard... you can definately hear the sound of the cure in the guitar work!
Yeah I agree haha. He probably was pretty pumped though. Or maybe nervous. It was a different type of setting and there were cameras everywhere. Still an incredible performance.
Interviewer asked the band "now that you are getting more popular, do you feel more pressure?" They answer collectively - "you have to learn to sleep when you can (assuming because they're so much busier) and the drummer says he doesn't feel anymore pressure, he describes that it's about the feeling he gets from playing to shows be it 10 kids or thousands". Hope that helps.
man it's all part of the live performance. and i reall don't think it was bad at all, not trying to start anything here just giving my two cents cheers,
@mcldub I dunno man, Brian was strumming pretty quick and it didn't seem like much of a jump when the rest of them came in. He seemed pretty chill singing it to me, but whatever, doesn't matter. :) This video is rad!
@jdciao What the fuck? The only thing about Brian Fallon that sounds similar to Brandon Flowers is the echo on his vocal tracks on the album. Fallon sounds a lot like Springsteen, though.
At some point it seems like they were doing playback cause it sounds just like the album, that's called Perfect chemestry :D ps: I can't believe Brian doesn't use any pedal but a tunner ...and that's a VOX AC30, or what is it?
How can you been searching for a live version for a long time? Just type the name of the song and you will find it... you must be terrible at finding stuff :P
2021 and still my favourite band
Still listening in 2024 - Patient Ferris Wheel 17:28 still an absolute banger

TGA are awesome, cant wait for the new LP
Hey, can someone tell me what they are saying at 12:45 - 13:11? Doesn't have to be every word just a point of it, i would really appreciate that.
Interviewer asked the band "now that you are getting more popular, do you feel more pressure?" Whitch date was this performances?
After The '59 Sound and the '09 Superbowl, but before American Slang.
How can you been searching for a live version for a long time? Just type the name of the song and you will find it... you must be terrible at finding stuff :P
Sure do.
@aussiesurfer28 Oh, and I believe Bob Dylan as well.
and they deserve it!
I think they were at their peak here sadly
No way. They peaked after Handwritten.
Take a bit of killers rancid the boss and pearl jam and make magic
St. Pauli cap :D
Brian's nose is just every so slightly too small lol
That's a clown comment bro! lol jk.... He does kind of look like him.
lamest crowd ever....
So much energy from Brian and the band, and the crowd is still. Agreed. LAME!
They're in a tiny studio where they cameras are focusing on the band, what do you want them to do? A mosh-pit?
The English are weak
