Mumbai's first underground metro line, the 'Aqualine' is will start from July 24 , aiming to ease the daily commute for the city's residence.
Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line) of the Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit metro line in the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
When completed, the 33.5 km (20.8 mi) long line will be the first underground metro line in Mumbai, with 27 underground stations and one at-grade station.
The line will run from Navy Nagar in the far-south of Mumbai to Aarey Depot in the north-centre, and will include connections to other metro lines, monorail, suburban rail, inter-city rail, and Mumbai's International Airport.Line 3 is expected to reduce road congestion as well as the load on the Western Line between Bandra and Churchgate.
The project is being implemented, and will be operated, by the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL). The total cost of this line is estimated at ₹30,000 crore (US$3.8 billion). The project is being funded by five major groups: MMRCL, Padeco, MMRDA, CREC, and JICA; the last of which provided a soft loan of ₹13,235 crore (US$1.7 billion)
The section of the line between Bandra Kurla Complex and Dharavi stations includes a 170-metre (560 ft) long twin-tunnel passing under the Mithi river. One of the tunnels was completed in March 2020.This will be the second under-river metro rail tunnel in India after the tunnel underneath the Hooghly river on Kolkata Metro Line 2.

Line 5 (Orange Line) - will connect Thane with Kalyan via Bhiwandi, with 17 stations. The line will be fully elevated except for a 3 km underground section in Bhiwandi.
Line 6 (Pink Line) - connect Lokhandwala Complex with Vikhroli
Line 7 (Red Line) - will connect Bhayander with the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport with 24 stations
Gold Line 8 - Airport Express Line part of the metro system for the city of Mumbai & Navi Mumbai, India. It will serve direct connectivity from CSMIA Airport in Mumbai to NMIA Airport in Navi Mumbai
Red Line 9 (extension) -is an extension of the Red Line from Andheri to CSMIA and Dahisar to Mira Road and it will run on a double-decker bridge
Green Line 10 - Extension of Line 4 (Green Line) - Gaimukh-Shivaji Chowk (Mira Road) corridor , Thane Metro
Green Line 11 - Extension of Line 4 (Green Line) - from Wadala-CSMT

I doubt this will open on July 24th 2024. They will delay this once again by another couple of months. I checked the official Mumbai Metro 3 X (Twitter) page and they have not posted anything about the opening happening on July 24 as of today morning (19/07/2024 11:28AM).

Very slow work , doubtful if they will open on 24.7 . On that day it seems the PM is also going to inaugurate various VB so there may be political pressure 😮
It can easily open on the 24th; but, seeing as though the CMRS isn't complete yet, it isn't possible. Once they have that certification, they can open it.
lol lot of confidence you have. Aarey to BKC they are opening on 24/7/24. But lot of work is not done for stations, not only speez other stations are there too!😂 Overall progress is very slow. They have already postponed date 4 times. They wont care about postponing it one more time😂
