Also if Sue likes Russell's voice wait till she gets a load of Maggy Luyten on Intergalactic Space Crusaders live.
Arjen Lucassen - Composer - Dutch singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician and record producer best known for his long-running progressive metal/rock opera project Ayreon_ FIRST OF HIS NAME.
I found out about Ayreon listening to Nightwish, Kamelot and Epica, years ago. Ayreon came up as a suggestion, as the singers of the bands, were all involved in the Ayreon Project. I listened and was won over immediately. I'm a SciFi lover, who loves Prog and Metal, so it was a perfect match for me. Arjen is genius, not only for his composing, but his production is superb and he gets the people who are right for his music, both the musicians and the vocalists. You now need to step up to Ayreon Live. Check out 'Everybody Dies', 'Intergalactic Space Crusdaders' and 'The Castle Hall', and everything else he has done Live, it is all fantastic. Also, his other Project - 'Star One' is worth a listen to, a bit more Metal than Prog, but still great and still Sci-Fi.
Don't forget valley of the queens ......way different genre but still give me shivers. Also it is like a reverse rabbit hole as Anneke was Floors idol/ reason for pursuing music.
I discovered Ayreon a few years ago, actually through a channel like yours. I am a Nightwish fan for many years and I love to watch reactors diving in into their music. And someday, a reactor did this very song of Ayreon. Best time for a live stream might be in the morning/noon for you, since we in Europe are in front 6-11 hours (depending on what time zone you are in). Since I'm a retired veteran I don't care about the day. 😂 Cheers from Germany 🤘🙂
This is a Masterpiece! Excellent casting of singers, and then there is Floor (💗👸). I would pay serious money, if I could get Russell Allen's ultramasculine voice. But hey, I'm paying all the time to shitloads of booze and tobacco. But it's not working as they say 😞. The genius behind all this is "the tall hippie dude", Arjen Anthony Lucassen, tallest known rock musician (203 cm). ⛄👍
Ayreon is not a band, per se, but one of the many musical projects of Dutch composer/multi-instrumentalist/producer Arjen Lucassen…the guy narrating the video, playing guitar, bass, and keyboards. He recruits top-notch vocalists from all over the world to portray the various characters that populate the story being told on each album. Obviously the logistics of getting all these people together in one place at the same time make live performances difficult, at best, but there have been a few live shows. My next Ayreon suggestion is the live version of Everybody Dies. Regarding Suesue’s question…how I discovered Ayreon…it was in 2004, and I had just come to the realization that I hated all the music I’d been listening to. I needed something different. I live in the US, so “different” is not musically easy to come by, here in the land of sound-alike. The one band I’d been listening to for a couple of years that I DID like, which had been introduced to me by an exchange student from Hungary, was a Dutch band called After Forever. They had an amazing young singer named Floor Jansen whose voice just overwhelmed me. They also had a keyboardist named Joost Van Den Broek…who you just saw playing grand piano in this Ayreon video. Anyway, using After Forever as a starting point, I went online and just followed all the “if you like A then you might like B” trails, sampling the different suggestions until I found other artists that I liked…Nightwish, The Gathering, Epica, and others, including not only Ayreon, but Arjen’s other projects that existed at the time…Ambeon and Star One. So, I guess you could say that it was Floor who led me to Ayreon…and all these other bands, as well.
@@SueSueandthewolfman just wait, you are likely to follow a similar path, honestly it all connects and it is all really really good, some more to certains tastes than others ...but excellent nonetheless
I discovered Ayreon through reactions. I'd heard of it, but never listened to it. The recommendation kept coming up while watching Nightwish, and I thought to myself, so many people can't be wrong. It took me a little while to get into, this isn't a genre I usually listen to. But the sheer talent is undeniable, and the way Arjen Lucassen puts together vocals is breathtaking.
It was so much fun watching you with SueSue's eyes getting bigger and bigger, staring at the screen, hardly being able to move and communicate to the Wolfman mesmerized by the music. Great reaction and as I said, you have just entered a Universe...
A logic follow up will be Everybody Dies (live) You could also react to Amazing Flight from the the Electric castle (live) to get a quick start into this rabbit hole.
I discovered Ayreon thanks to Floor Jansen 🤩!!!! Ayreon is a musical project by Dutch songwriter, singer, musician and record producer Arjen Anthony Lucassen. Ayreon's music is described as progressive rock, progressive metal and power metal sometimes combined with genres such as folk, electronica, experimental and classical music. The majority of Ayreon's albums are dubbed "rock operas" because the albums contain complex storylines featuring a host of characters, usually with each one being represented by a unique vocalist. Each Ayreon album tells a different story, but all, with the exceptions of Actual Fantasy, The Theory of Everything, and Transitus, take place in the same fictional, science fiction universe; additionally, Lucassen's solo album Lost in the New Real is also set in the Ayreon universe. Ayreon's music is characterized by the use of traditional instruments in rock music mixed with instruments more native to folk and classical music. Lucassen writes the music and the lyrics, sings and plays most of the instruments on all of the Ayreon albums, alongside many guest musicians. His most regular collaborator is drummer Ed Warby. The binary code means "Trust TH-1" The singers in order of appearance are: James LaBrie from Dream Theater Tommy Karevik from Kamelot, Seventh Wonder Tommy Rogers from Between the Buried and Me Simone Simons from th most epic Epica Nils K. Rue from Pagan's Mind and Eidolon Tobias Sammet from Edguy and here mentioned Avantasia Hansi Kürsch the „Bard from Walhalla“ from Blind Guardian Mike Mills playing a computer and singing binary from Toehider Russell Allen from Symphony X Michael Eriksen from Circus Maximus and last but not least the incredible Valkyrie Goddess Floor Jansen from Nightwish NWSU/Ayreonaut 🤘🤓✌
Funny thing isn't it? Ayreon gets more and more in the spotlight because of Floor's contributions to the project, while it was Arjen who discovered Floor at a very young age. Payback time!
Thank you, thank you, thank you !! In case no one else has mentioned it, the binary being sang by Michael Mills (TH-!) translates as TRUST TH-1. If you watch any more Aryeon, you will be astounded at the virtuosity of the artists who play on stage. I got into Aryeon and Arjen's other projects, Star One, Stream of Passion, Gentle Storm and Guilt M|achine via Nightwish, of course ;-).
Hey, you should definitely check out Ayreon The Electric Castle album live shows featuring John de Lance the actor who played Q from the Star Trek the next generation series as a live narrator on stage, awesome thanks requesting ❤️🔥😎
Thanks for your quick reaction I only requested it yesterday 😂😂😂. No, thanks for your reaction to Aryeon, Arjen Lucassen really deserves it he is a absolute genius just like Tuomas Holopainen.
Great you found Ayreon. I'm sure you'll love it. I found Ayreon in the record store over 20 years ago. The old ladxy at hte shop handed me "The Electric Castle" saying: you'll like this. I gave it a quick spin at the record shop and I immediately bought it. That's where I discovered Floor and saw her live for the first time. And a lot of other singers and musicians. Feel free to dig into the Ayreon Universe
Thank you for looking into Ayreon. You have just entered the amazing Ayreon Universe as we Ayreonauts like to call it. And you were right on point, all Ayreon albums are concept albums which tell a story through the songs on it. On top of that the albums tied together in an overall storyline, which is why Arjen called it a prequel to another album (Planet Y) although it is the latest release. To point out the difference, StarOne albums are themed albums. The songs deal with a common theme often referencing movies or tv series (e.g. the latest release Revel in Time is about time machines and time jumps referencing Terminator, Interstellar and Back to the Future among others). You will get a lot of suggestions for the Universe concert one of the few live shows and let me tell you every single performance is amazing and worth watching. It was set up as a "best of Ayreon".
Glad you enjoyed this wonderful tune. Got into European metal and prog during my various postings and calls in the Navy. Lots of good suggestions to try next, I would say Everybody Dies, Valley of the Queens, Merlin’s Will or Star of Sirrah next. Really enjoy your reactions.
Yikes, you have opened up a whole rabbit universe! No wonder you've encountered some interferences with your mic. When i saw that you were doing ayreon i knew you'd love it. And your reactions were as anticipated and even better! Rock on! Cheers from Germany 🤘
If someone discovers Nightwish they discover Ayreon. I just wish they would all discover Wintersun as well!!!! But back to Ayreon, to sum up , a massive rabbit hole of talent and bands. Enjoy!
I learned of Ayreon fairly recently with this album actually, I am a huge EPICA and Nightwish fan, Simone and Floor feature a lot on this album, this is what drew my attention to Ayreon for the first time
Well, u can make sidesteps with his other projects Star One, 3 albums, all songs based on scifi classics (blade runner, terminator, planet of the apes, clockwork etc) Floor did alot of work there as well, 2nd album is best imo , victims of the modern age (main vocals Floor, Russel Allen, Damian Wilson, Dan Swano) guest incl Rodney Blaze and Tony Martin from Sabbath It;s most pure metal album and oso freakin good, u will here that when the 1st drumms kick in, Ed Warby special Then there is The Gentle Storm which is set in 17th century, dutch golden age 2 versions for every song. Storm rocky and Gentle accoustic Have fun
Hi, did you know Arjen Lucassen also has another project called "Star One" with...yes a new album . The Ayreon albums all have a story to tell, the Star One is all music based on a typical kind of movies, sciencefiction themes (prog space metal). The latest albums is Revel in Time. An boy oh boy again the stars playing on that album....amazing. Some of the names: Steve Vai (yup), Tony Martin (black sabbath), Jeff scott soho (Y. Malmsteen vocalist en Journey), Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple, Rainbow), Adrian Vandenberg, Britney Slayes (unleash the archer) and Floor Jansen (we all know her) and more. Just look for and please react to: Lost Children of the Universe, Fate of Man or Revel in Time. I know Arjen's music since his band Bodine (from tapes) and Vengeance.
Arjen has diverse projects, Ayreon is one, Star One is another - in both project he included Floor and Irene (Floor's sister) very early in their career. Some of the musicians have been kind of static members of his project, but apart from being a multi-instrumentalist (which he will deny) composer, etc. He prides himself for being able to get the best out of the artists he collaborates with. Lots of recommendation already and a pretty good start to another journey.
I learned of Ayreon via Nightwish. Just bought the latest "Star One" album, which is Arjen's other musical project, and it's so cool. I'm not a massive prog fan (I find some of it to be too technical for the sake of it, rather than making a great song), but realy enjoy stuff like Nightwish, Iron Maiden, Rainbow, Queensryche etc (inluding now Ayreon & Star One) which incorporate proggy elements but still make the song "king"). I liked what Wolf Man said about the lesley speaker being used with guitar - as a former semi-pro (pro attitude, peanuts earned) musician, whom also co-produced our recordings, I have used a "leslie simulator" on the bass, and it gives it a wonderfully round/slightly flanged sound to it that really suits heavy music. Cheers to all the team (SS, BB, B & TWM), loving the reactions.
This old Metal rock head found Ayreon sorta like you did because of Nightwish but finding Nightwish early on with Tarja (late 1998- early 1999. Then discovering After Forever & of course finding Floor. Following Floor and her own band Revamp ( it’s her band with most of the songs written by Floor) check out songs Distain, Trial of Monsters or Millions Live at Graspop 2010 for a start! Sorry I digress! Your in for a wonderful magical journey with Ayreon, check out live, Everybody Dies, Ride the Comet, Intergalactic Space Invaders, River of Time, or Age of Shadows all performed same show! I am not going to even try to use Buster to try to sway you ( genius move that it was) but just look into Buster’s Big Brown Eyes he really wants to hear any of my suggestions! Rock On Stay Safe! As always give the pups a pat & treat for me! Really it’s not bribing it’s out of affection! Stay Safe Rock On!🙏👍🐶🦴🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Frank, Buster just said thanks for the earlier suggestion and we are going to do Everybody dies later this week. Of course I can't resist his big brown eyes so -- thank -- thanks a lot Frank! lol
I bought the first album in 1995 when it was released, and was blown away. Arjen is Dutch and so am I. Saw their first live show in 2003 in my hometown of Rijssen in The Netherlands (with Floor and her sister only 19 years old). Bought every album ever since.
Arjen Anthony Lucassen is a Dutch genius who gets the whole metal royalty on one stage, love him! Makes me kinda proud to be a dutchie 😁 when I started looking at Floor and Nightwish, Ayreon just popped up.. By the way your microphone sometimes (especially in your intro) is making some weird noise, makes it hard to understand what you’re saying..
I heard of Ayreon (Arjen Anthony Lucassen) from fans of Nightwish. Once I knew Floor and her sister Irene sang on many of his live projects I was hooked. Irene sings backing on so many performances with Lisette van den Berg and Marcela Bovio. Plus a host of amazing singers including Damian Wilson, Floor, Mike Mills, Russell Allen and many more. Personally love the early Star One album live in 2003. th-cam.com/video/SuRJP_qmGy0/w-d-xo.html
Glad you enjoyed ayreon so much arjen is a multi instrumetalist who uses lots of differant singers. Song to check out are valley of the queens and the eyes of ra. Keep up the good work Take care peace and love from england
First exposure to Ayreon was through other reactions as a sort of natural progression from Nightwish and Epica. Now......did you see anything that makes you wonder about 11 other bands and where these people's "days jobs" are?
I learned about ayreon by Star one a side project where Bruce dikenson and Arjen Lucassen did a project sadly it got leaked to the press and never became what it should have been. But its also the first timei saw Floor and her sister Irene as back up singers at the life show. And the leslie rotating speakers . they are so wanted that even today they cost well over 10.000 Euros/Dollars . Hammond+Leslie is just perfect. Its a shame we dont hear those old organs any more , as they got that verry thick rich sound. no other instrument can replicate.
If you did not check out the first singer, James la Brie’s band, Dream Theater yet then their work should definitely be on your to do list. Try ‘illumination Theory’, or ‘Breaking all illusions’ live from Boston 2014. ‘The count of Tuscany and ‘Octavarium’ would be two other cannot miss songs.
This is the introduction song to the Album The Source - therefore all 11 lead singers are presented short. Arjen Lucassen has been working with over 100 of the top of the top of singing and musicians from all over the world - Floor since year 2000.. The guy on the Grand Piano is Joest Van den Broek, close friend to Floor, and musician and composer in her earlier bands After Forever and ReVamp - and he helps on her covers and solo stuff. Russell Allen, is also a close friend of Floor's - they have done some phenomenal duets together like Phantom of the Opera, and Sweet Curse, among others. Russell were a kind of mentor to Floor in the old days. If you dive into the Ayreon universe, you will find lots of familiar faces, people who have worked together. Arjen is very active on the social media, and he often responds on reactions - so look out!! We can tell you lots about Arjen, how he works and so, if you want to continue - he is a musically genius.
Ayreon and Arjen’s music is great. The thing is when we start to go on all their material... man, puff! I started with The Source and then with The Theory of Everything albums. And then kept going back to 1994.
I am happy to see you finally react to this song, and the emotion on your faces at certain keypoints in this masterpiece. The live! version of the next song on this album,Everybody DIes, is certainly worth watching and listening to!
I love Arjen's creations. It is like watch a Broadway show meets a prog metal concert. Wait until you check out some of his live performances. They are amazing and so much fun. A very unique style from this Dutch prog genius. You can hear all of his early music influences in his compositions. How can any body say bad things to you about Paul Rodgers. Paul is one of the greatest blues rock voices ever to have lived. I agree, Russell does have some of that Rodgers type tonality to his voice. Peter Frampton is famous for playing though a Leslie cabinet. I learned of Ayreon and many of Arjen Anthony Lucassen's amazing creations through checking out Floor's guest appearances in many of his songs. Great to have some more fun with you both! Peace. Hey, I have checked out Uncle Gij! He is wonderful!
Thanks for reacting to my suggestion of Ayreon 😎 I'm glad you liked it! My next suggestion would be: "Ayreon - Everybody Dies". It is a live recording of a show in Tilburg (The Netherlands). Here is the link for the video: th-cam.com/video/9AAXtUdM7xE/w-d-xo.html Greetings from The Netherlands, Martin
Ayreon (since about 2000) pointed me towards After Forever...and then to Nightwish years later! Welcome to the Ayreon fandom.....Arjen doesn't disappoint!
This is act 1 of a "space - rock opera" where all characters are introduced My advise is just follow the rest of the album before you hop around with the live versions ( it makes the live ones even more impressive) This story is the "genesis" of the the entire saga, done on all the other Ayreon albums
Nice how you apreciate it:) most Things already said, i reall want to encourage you to get the Time and listen to the Album in some quite private Setup, i promise, you wont regret :) Just enjoy yourself, pls, and stay Healthy! NWA Bavaria North out.
Russell Allen and his Guitarist in Symphony X have both appeared on Ayreon projects through the years Russell is awesome I have loved Symphony X for ages my favorite album was Paradise Lost in 2007 but in the 90's he had some real awesome long songs like Odyssey
Time to break the mold, 5 Japanese ladies of Band-maid is waiting for you to react to their impossible hard rock music. Start with a live song "Domination". You will be mind blown. Rock music is alive and well in Japan.
You’re about to fall into a big rabbit hole and you’ll never want to climb out of it again. Ayreon is one of the projects by Arjen Lucassen. Star One, Guilt machine, the Gentle Storm, Stream of Passion are other projects; well worth listening also. There are two epic live concert: Ayreon Universe live The electric castle live and other tales (an anniversary concert of the album Into the electric castle) The albums are great There’s a theatrical performance of the album The Human Equation. See Wikipedia for everything on Arjen, Ayreon etc. Look for the impressive list of musicians he worked with so far.
Got to know Ayreon browsing through the racks in the music store, back in 1998. Started at A and stumbled upon Ayreon. Was intrigued by the cover and the name (the album was "Into the electric castle"). Asked the shop owner if I could have a listen, and fell in love intantly. Through Ayreon I got to know about a lot more bands: After Forever, Epica, the Gathering, Kamelot, etc. etc.
Ayreon is actually not a band but a project by Arjen Lucassen. Especially on studio albums, Arjen plays most of the instruments himself. Only live he uses session players and everyone from all over the world loves working with him. Arjen invites precisely those musicians who fit within the characters of the person they have to represent. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arjen_Anthony_Lucassen) Arjen Anthony Lucassen (born 3 April 1960) is a Dutch singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician and record producer best known for his long-running progressive metal/rock opera project Ayreon. Lucassen started his career in 1980 as the guitarist and backing vocalist of Dutch band Bodine as Iron Anthony, before joining Vengeance in 1984. After eight years he left the band, wanting to go into a more progressive direction, and released two years later an unsuccessful solo album entitled Pools of Sorrow, Waves of Joy under the nickname Anthony. In 1995, Lucassen released an album uncredited to any artist called Ayreon: The Final Experiment, in which he sang, wrote every song and played most of the instruments. The album conducted to the creation of Ayreon; despite being relatively unknown at first, the project gained notable attention and praise with the release of its third album Into the Electric Castle, establishing Lucassen as a notable composer of rock operas. Following Ayreon's success, Lucassen has been involved in many other projects: he is the creator, composer and current guitarist/keyboardist of Star One, Guilt Machine, and The Gentle Storm, and the creator and former guitarist of Ambeon and Stream of Passion. He composes and writes most of his songs, but leaves the lyrics to his musical partners in some of his projects. Lucassen plays a wide variety of instruments: his main instruments are guitar and keyboards, however he also plays bass, banjo and many others. Overall, in his career and including all his bands and projects (as principal instrumentalist/creative force or as a member), Lucassen has released twenty-six studio albums, four live albums, two EPs and seventeen singles. He has also made many minor participations alongside various artists including Shadow Gallery, After Forever, Within Temptation and Avantasia, and appears in over 50 albums. Since the creation of Ayreon, Lucassen progressively made a name for himself under rock and metal reviewers, with many critics calling him a "genius", and praising his composition abilities and originality. In his review of 01011001, AllMusic reviewer Cosmo Lee stated "Music this over the top almost defies criticism. Reviewing it is like reviewing the world's tallest building. It doesn't care; it just goes on and on."
Joost has been Knighted by the Dutch King. So, he is Sir Joost! He always has a big smile when Floor comes on stage. They go way back. I think it was with After Forever.

The binary code means "Trust TH-1"
The singers in order of appearance are:
James LaBrie from Dream Theater
Tommy Karevik from Kamelot, Seventh Wonder
Tommy Rogers from Between the Buried and Me
Simone Simons from th most epic Epica
Nils K. Rue from Pagan's Mind and Eidolon
Tobias Sammet from Edguy and here mentioned Avantasia
Hansi Kürsch the „Bard from Walhalla“ from Blind Guardian
Mike Mills playing a computer and singing binary from Toehider
Russell Allen from Symphony X
Michael Eriksen from Circus Maximus
and last but not least the incredible Valkyrie Goddess Floor Jansen from Nightwish
NWSU/Ayreonaut 🤘🤓✌
Nice. For me it was the other way around over 15 years ago. Seen her and her sister live at the Ayreon / Star One show around that time.
Funny thing isn't it? Ayreon gets more and more in the spotlight because of Floor's contributions to the project, while it was Arjen who discovered Floor at a very young age. Payback time!
@@Greyhound53200 Exactly. But he really deserves it
That was me who made the comment about buster and the need to do this song.
Thanks for your quick reaction
I only requested it yesterday 😂😂😂.
No, thanks for your reaction to Aryeon, Arjen Lucassen really deserves it he is a absolute genius just like Tuomas Holopainen.
Crazy timing huh? Bless you Ruud!
@@SueSueandthewolfman Thank you lovely people.
Stay strong, healthy and safe!
More Floor? Try Northward - While love died. Love you guys.
Quality music from the Netherlands ❤
Thanks for this reaction. A hug fron Brazil.
Hugs back! from Suesue
Nice reaction!
Next Ayreon: “Everybody Dies” Live
I Concur 100% then Intergalactic Space Crusaders, Ride The Comet, Live of Course. Rock On Stay Safe!🙏🤘🤘🤘
Love you guys...
Really? Thats funny because we love you more Martinus!- Suesue
Wow, thanks! God Bless you!
Yeah, glad you liked this one! Thank you so much❤️
think i saw this quite fast as published =D 8:22am in Finland now, i love you both and fluffs
Thanks Jade, SueSue and the gang we all love you too!!

If someone discovers Nightwish they discover Ayreon. I just wish they would all discover Wintersun as well!!!! But back to Ayreon, to sum up , a massive rabbit hole of talent and bands. Enjoy!
I learned of Ayreon fairly recently with this album actually, I am a huge EPICA and Nightwish fan, Simone and Floor feature a lot on this album, this is what drew my attention to Ayreon for the first time
Well, u can make sidesteps with his other projects
Star One, 3 albums, all songs based on scifi classics (blade runner, terminator, planet of the apes, clockwork etc) Floor did alot of work there as well,
2nd album is best imo , victims of the modern age (main vocals Floor, Russel Allen, Damian Wilson, Dan Swano) guest incl Rodney Blaze and Tony Martin from Sabbath
It;s most pure metal album and oso freakin good, u will here that when the 1st drumms kick in, Ed Warby special
Then there is The Gentle Storm which is set in 17th century, dutch golden age
2 versions for every song. Storm rocky and Gentle accoustic
Have fun
I knew you guys would find yourselves at this one! Really glad you enjoyed it!
I love it! Thank you! Suesue
Yes we've beem hearing that - Ima get Wolfman to fix it - sorry!
@@SueSueandthewolfman wasn’t meant as criticism, just warning you😊
Hi guys! Loved your reaction to this 'classic'. So pleased you enjoyed it. Must go along with 0 Bud - 'Everybody Dies' Live is a must.
Haha knew you would love this.
This was one I found via a reaction channel in lockdown. Knew I was onto something special immediately.
This music video is like The Avengers metal version. Glad you reacted to it.
First exposure to Ayreon was through other reactions as a sort of natural progression from Nightwish and Epica. Now......did you see anything that makes you wonder about 11 other bands and where these people's "days jobs" are?
Next is the Live performance of another song on the album. Everybody dies. So great!!!
Hi SueSueandthewolfman, do you get the feeling that the Metal scene in Europe is very different to the USA 🙃
This is Suesue- and from my perspective the US had great metal and then it just dwindled down and Europe has exploded with talent! I love it!
If you did not check out the first singer, James la Brie’s band, Dream Theater yet then their work should definitely be on your to do list. Try ‘illumination Theory’, or ‘Breaking all illusions’ live from Boston 2014. ‘The count of Tuscany and ‘Octavarium’ would be two other cannot miss songs.
wild song! Should definitely react to some Dream Theater as well as some other prog!
I actually discovered Ayreon watching an reaction video 😊
You should react to each and every band whose singers have been featured here starting with Dream Theater!
Floor's favourite singer is Russell Allen.
I could be wrong but I believe that I am right. 😃😃😃
Thanks for reacting to my suggestion of Ayreon 😎 I'm glad you liked it! My next suggestion would be: "Ayreon - Everybody Dies". It is a live recording of a show in Tilburg (The Netherlands). Here is the link for the video: th-cam.com/video/9AAXtUdM7xE/w-d-xo.html
Greetings from The Netherlands, Martin
Ayreon (since about 2000) pointed me towards After Forever...and then to Nightwish years later! Welcome to the Ayreon fandom.....Arjen doesn't disappoint!
This is act 1 of a "space - rock opera" where all characters are introduced
My advise is just follow the rest of the album before you hop around with the live versions ( it makes the live ones even more impressive)
This story is the "genesis" of the the entire saga, done on all the other Ayreon albums
Nice how you apreciate it:) most Things already said, i reall want to encourage you to get the Time and listen to the Album in some quite private Setup, i promise, you wont regret :)
Just enjoy yourself, pls, and stay Healthy!
I love all of Arjen's work it is great stuff and all of the albums are connected
You’re about to fall into a big rabbit hole and you’ll never want to climb out of it again.
Ayreon is one of the projects by Arjen Lucassen. Star One, Guilt machine, the Gentle Storm, Stream of Passion are other projects; well worth listening also.
There are two epic live concert:
Ayreon Universe live
The electric castle live and other tales (an anniversary concert of the album Into the electric castle)
The albums are great
There’s a theatrical performance of the album The Human Equation.
See Wikipedia for everything on Arjen, Ayreon etc. Look for the impressive list of musicians he worked with so far.
I got to know Ayreon through a band called Vengeance, where Arjen Lucassen (the mastermind behind Ayreon) used to play lead guitar
Your sound is not okay, it's resonate
But its okay just to enjoy you guys ❤
Sorry about that- I need to get Wolfman to fix that- Suesue
Hey Geert, Yes I noticed that on this video but not the others. Not sure what buzz/vibration is but I'm going to hunt it down and kill it!!
@@SueSueandthewolfman the sound is always good, it was just this recording, maybe it's slipped away.🤔

(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arjen_Anthony_Lucassen)
Arjen Anthony Lucassen (born 3 April 1960) is a Dutch singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician and record producer best known for his long-running progressive metal/rock opera project Ayreon.
BTW - don't be surprised if Arjen Lucassen drops by with a comment .... :-)
Joost has been Knighted by the Dutch King. So, he is Sir Joost! He always has a big smile when Floor comes on stage. They go way back. I think it was with After Forever.
The Netherlands strikes again with the Epic composer Arjen Anthony Lucassen.
Please please, watch “ Every body dies” (life performance)………
Also the grand piano player joost produces both nightwish and epica's albulms
Please listen to Symphony X! Russell Allen is an incredible singer. Try “Awakenings” 😉
Arjen played both guitars the bass and the hammond and synths he's amazing
