Lisette is the one hitting the astronomical notes behind Michael Mills in the beginning and even later. Irene Jansen (Floor's younger sister) and Macela Bovio (from Mexico and featured in Valley of the Queens) make up the trio known as Arjen's Angels. All three have incredible voices and blend as well as any voices can. Arjen only gets the creme de la creme as instrumentalists and singers.
The lady with the raspy voice is Magali (Maggie) Luyten from Belgium who did the parts of Russell Allen, as he couldn't attend the concert. The background singers are: Irene Jansen, Lisette van den Berg and Marcela Bovio (from left to right from your point of view).
Haha SueSue's eyes are getting wider and wider as the song progresses. So much talent on that stage, it's incredible. One of the backup singers Marcela Bovio is one of my favourites. She does a heap of singing in Ayreon projects as well as vocals for MaYaN and Dark Horse White Horse. Valley of the Queens next is a good choice.
Arjen just draws "the Floor card" at the end - excellent. Michael Mills are doing a great job here, where he runs through a few octaves. The guy on the Hammond is Joest van den Broek from After Forever and ReVamp among others. A phenomenal musician - just like the rest of the bunch here

The entire Ayreon Universe concert is absolutely amazing. Joost has a Hammond organ with a keyboard on top. Then to his left is a rack of 3 keyboards and another rack of 3 to his right.
Love how excited you guys were by this. One of my favorites is Amazing Flight from the Into the Electric Castle live show. Arjen actually sings on stage in the role as the hippie and I think you guys will dig the whole vibe of the song. I will concur on Valley of the Queens as a worthy next listen. Short and simple but just gorgeous harmonies between Floor, Anneke, and Marcela.
For some more Ayreon live, try the fun "Intergalactic Space Crusaders" or the more heavy "Star of Sirrah" performances. Also noteworthy is the "The Two Gates (Universe)" song, where Irene Jansen gets to introduce the band. Arjen used John Jaycee Kuipers and Marcela Bovio also as "example" singers in his demo tapes, basically trolling the invited singers that were supposed to sing the actual parts, all because Jaycee and Marcelo are top notch singers with amazing voices of their own. The invitees then asked Arjen: "What do you need us for?" 😂
Arjen Lucassen is a real master in writing music. His Aryeon Project Albums are amazing. For me the "into the electric castle" and "the source" are his best. But also a project like Guild Machine (please check this one: th-cam.com/video/gcHn0kCgmAs/w-d-xo.html ) and Ambeon are amazing albums, together with Star One.
You may also like Gentle Storm - Storm; another Arjen project. The singer is Anneke Van Giersbergen who you will see sing Valley of the Queens with Floor. She was who inspired Floor to sing metal.

Nice to see the sisters Jansen on the stage (yes, Irene Jansen was also there, the left one of the three ladies in the back). Irene can sing very good as well, but made different life's choices. She wanted a more "normal" life than Floor. I think she studied English and she helps Floor now and then with translating songs into English (to get the vocabulary matching the meaning, rythm and rhyme).
Sue, I think it's great to see how you have really warmed up to being in front of the camera. I am loving your fun loving goofy nature and how you can barely contain your excitement to see the next Nightwish performance. All in all it makes for a very enjoyable and entertaining watch. I forgot to respond to your survey request earling, so here goes: - I am a 54 year old male from Canada. - Discovered Nightwish through a friend about 7 years ago. For as long as I can remember, deep down, I always thought that traditional orchestral symphonic instruments and traditional metal instruments would meld together in a beautiful way. The first time I experienced Nightwish by watching the Ghost Love Score performance at Wacken 2013, those long time feelings I had were proved correct and I became and instant fan. At that moment Nightwish became my favorite metal band and they still are today 🤘 Keep the reactions coming. You still have a boat load of Nightwish performances to enjoy plus there are branches you can enjoy as well by visiting Floor's personal channel as well as other non-Nightwish performances she has done such as Phantom of the Opera on Beste Zangers. You can also visit Marko's personal channel to find some great performances there as well. Of the three vocalists that have been a part of Nightwish, my personal favorite is Floor but, both Tarja and Anette are amazing vocalists in their own right. Threre are many enjoyable performances to experience featuring these two ladies. Then there is still more. Over the course of watching your reactions, Susan has really taken the lead in these videos. Kudos! Good call Wolfman! All of those bands are very influential bands for Arjen Anthony Lucassen. He is the Dutch prog rock genius creator of these amazing compositions. The include project names such as Ayreon, Star One, Stream of Passion (one of my favorites), and several others. Arjen creates music that involves many different vocalists who play roles within the storylines he creates. Kind of like Broadway/opera meets prog metal. When I first watched this one my reaction was "It is disgusting to see so much talent on one stage at the same time." Then I watched "Eye of Ra" from the same performance. You might want to wrap your head in duck tape as reinforcement for that one.

Arjen says he was influenced on the Hammond and guitar by Jon Lord and Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple respectively. He also collects old analogue keyboards as he believes they add more depth to the sound than the newer digital ones. First singer Mike Mills has funnily done an acoustic version of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen as one of his projects.

I think this song live is so beautiful. Better than the original, as Damian is best live. His connection to his audience is amazing and his technique has reached Master level over the years. Damian and Hansi were my 2 best discoveries from Ayreon.
Great one! i never been in actual band but i did play drums in music therapy so dad bought me Tama drums and i have acoustic guitarr by ear i can play one song start but nothing else + keyboard that i know how to play one tune but i like tu try to catch by ear how some songs goes ^_^

Also almost all of the talent on that stage is not new. Most have at least one many two or more bands, and many have decades of work behind them. ....there is whole lot out there to experience.
The keyboardist is Joost Van Den Broek. He used to play in a band called After Forever whose singer was Floor Jansen. He has since played with many other artists and has produced tons of artists. Lately he’s been working with Floor on her solo material. Oh, and he was knighted by the Dutch royals, so he’s SIR Joost. The background singer on the left is Irene Jansen…Floor’s sister. Note that Arjen himself is not on-stage…he has stage fright and mostly leaves the live stuff to Joost to produce, though he does make an appearance at the end of this show, and has a small part in the other live Ayreon production…Electric Castle Live. Valley of the Queens (live) is a good next step. This weekend I’m visiting my parents in Arkansas.

Great one! i never been in actual band but i did play drums in music therapy so dad bought me Tama drums and i have acoustic guitarr by ear i can play one song start but nothing else + keyboard that i know how to play one tune but i like tu try to catch by ear how some songs goes ^_^

Not alot of people react to Intergalactic Space Crusaders, but the song and its part of the story is so good! The chorus is an earwurm too.

I love the way Floor appears out of thin air! Great reaction. One of my favourites from Ayreon is The Two Gates. It is perhaps not as epic as this one (still good though) but there is just something special about Irene Jansen introducing the band members. Also almost all of the talent on that stage is not new. Most have at least one many two or more bands, and many have decades of work behind them. ....there is whole lot out there to experience.
The keyboardist is Joost Van Den Broek. He used to play in a band called After Forever whose singer was Floor Jansen. He has since played with many other artists and has produced tons of artists. Lately he’s been working with Floor on her solo material. Oh, and he was knighted by the Dutch royals, so he’s SIR Joost. The background singer on the left is Irene Jansen…Floor’s sister. Note that Arjen himself is not on-stage…he has stage fright and mostly leaves the live stuff to Joost to produce, though he does make an appearance at the end of this show, and has a small part in the other live Ayreon production…Electric Castle Live. Valley of the Queens (live) is a good next step. This weekend I’m visiting my parents in Arkansas.

( I’m old that’s my excuse I’m sticking to that) but I did look it up, Ayreon Day 16 Loser @ 013 Tilburg 16-09-2017 is the performance I remembered. Sorry I can’t send you the link ( again I’m old don’t know how) so I do apologize if I gave you the wrong performance but all Ayreon’s music is amazing. Glad you are both enjoying Ayreon & Nightwish. If you like bass, organs and the same singers as in Everybody Dies try Intergalactic Space Crusaders that’s definitely same show you just watched. Great reaction. I am not sure if you have reacted to Within Temptation yet? Sharon den Adele (Dutch) is the vocalist for this band and she is by far my second favorite female vocalist. #1 of course being Queen Floor. Sharon has performed with Floor, Simone Simons (Epica), Anneke van Giersbergen
