Accurate down to the tuberculosis part. In the game he was assassinated but he still had tuberculosis

For Lawrence Washington, he did die in 1752 in Mount Vernon, but he wasn’t assassinated. And yes, there was an earthquake in Lisbon around that time.
There was fire as well that burned like half the city and a tsunami too

But yeah, the earthquake happened in 1755, and since it happened in a national holiday, "Dia de Todos os Santos" (The Day of All Saints, if you want it translated), where everyone lighted candles up to celebrate, it caused an enormous fire that wiped out half of Lisbon

At the point where you questioned how the ocean is on fire, the reason is because oil is less dense than water, it floats on water, if the oil is lit on fire, it won’t be extinguished. The ships spray oil and burn it that is why it is not getting extinguished.

This is my favorite AC game to play - by far. Not because it has the best world or combat, but because playing as Shay is much more of a rewarding experience. I think his character connects more that any of the other main characters(personal preference). I also think some of his outfits are badass as well as weapons (especially the rifle)
Shay is a very impressive and unique character. His story along with Haytham's adds a new perspective for us
Played the game last year and it was actually really good, It was just a matter of players overshadowing what the game actually is over the bugs

I would've loved a sequel to this or Ac3/Unity. It's wild to me that Connor, Shay, and Arno's stories are so connected yet Ubisoft did nothing with them

Ac Rouge is not underrated I hate to break it to everyone it's a amazing game but still.
Everything about Assassin's Creed: Rogue is creepy, yet cool in a way. It gives me a sense of Nostalgia which never in actuality, existed.. The menu design, loading screen background music which is eerie, the fact that Shay is a templar who became one after getting betrayed? From the Assassin's movement.. everything in it is just so perfect. I bought this the moment I got the opportunity, how could this even be missed even when Unity was released in the same year? It's still a major title.
You just described it for me perfectly. I couldn't put my finger on it but Rogue felt very different and unique, and I loved it.

You know its funny I came across this video about a week ago and decided to try this challenge myself, I died near the end-game when hope is dropping vials of poison as you pursue her throughout new york, one of her vials slowed me down and I ran into it like a dumbass meanwhile one of the stalkers in the area got the drop on me and finished my off, the death in my opinion was complete BS but I decided you know what I got pretty far so I can atleast be happy about that.
Edit: I have died a number of times in the escape from Lisben act usually its due to attrocious pathfinding...seriously while I have only ever played Black Flag, Rogue, and Liberation, Shay has without a doubt the worst pathfinding I have ever seen I've lost track of the number of times I am trying to climb something and Shay is convinced there is nothing to grab onto and on more than one occasion he will just randomly fall through the map as he falls off a tree when he cant find anything to climb.
It funny how this is the first actual assassin's creed game I played where you were an assassin unlike odyssey which is the first game I played and Shay ends up leaving the assassin's and joining the templars

Yesss! Rogue! Gotta be one of my favourites, after Black Flag. Rogue is so nostalgic for me as it was one of the first AC games I played and the game that made me really fall in love with the AC series. And Shay would be very high in my ranking, not as high as Ezio and Edward but definitely up there. I might be a lil biased tho.

The truth is that atleast in AC community Rogue is already 2 yrs that isn't underrated even 3 i'd say.
I really love this game and most AC players ive talked to, told me they really love rogue.
My honest opinion is that the TRUE underrated AC games are the 2D trilogy, because I think they are great and deserve better.
I hear almost nothing but love for Rogue. I assume the reputation for being underrated comes from the less than stellar reception shortly after launch, similar to what happened with Unity, which also is enjoying a good reputation now.

Yes u can actually set the water on fire in a certain sense: it’s called Greek fire (if u write it on Google with like “fire on water” u’ll find) it and it’s basically a mix of flammable materials that don’t sink or dissolve in water, which are put on fire.

Funny that this was thesame way I died,infact I died three times in this same spot,the place is very visually tricky,and also my first and most favorite assassin Creed but you don't talk about it much like other assassin's Creed series which is disheartening since it is such an amazing game with a very good protagonist,well great video

btw the real reson why ubisoft sucks is that they didnt add multiplayer for the nintendo version of the games . i tried to log in ubisoft club black flag it only gave me the assassin outfits and weapons not multiplayer

Well, your death was realistic, in the midle of a f-n earthquake😂...not at the hands of some guard because you got stuck on some fence🤣🤣🤣😒👍...and yeah, Rogue was a great game with a cool story, music, etc, even at the shadow of BF, but I don't know why people says it was very short, cos when the Atlatic map was open, I through that it would be a very short campaign, then the River Valley and NY were also open with all the side missions, quests and activities...it took me almost the same amount of time as BF to finish it all🤷♂️

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but when it comes to naval gameplay in the Kenway Saga I prefer the Morrigan to the Jackdaw. It feels faster, more maneuverable and it has roughly the same firepower plus some tweaks for aesthetic. It looks cleaner than the Jackdaw as well; even at max level, there's still junk and detritus all over the Jackdaw's deck. You max out the Morrigan, and it looks like a fleet killer.

OK not gonna lie at the total tonal shift, and irony, of praising the game with limited time and budget doing such a major set piece... and then just "oh" as the game just completely faceplants the freerunning system and instant kills him. 🤣

Shay actually has so pretty cool outfits. He definitely looks dapper wearing his Assassin robes as a Templar (btw Ubi should add them as a legacy outfit sometime)
When the game came out I stopped playing at about Sequence 4ish. Never actually beat it until Rogue Remastered and when I did I platinumed it or rather the Xbox equivalent of platinum. Now I have restarted my playthrough of the original 360 version that I abandoned shortly after launch and I have been having a blast trying to get all of the achievements I never got. I honestly consider Rogue to be a very underated game. Yeah its not the best game but its not the worst either.
i looked up where lawrence washington died and this is what it said Washington became ill with tuberculosis. He and George travelled to Barbados, hoping that the warm climate would alleviate his ill health. This failed, and Lawrence died at Mount Vernon the following year.
You know with Chevalier and how he's a dick and constantly mean on Shay and the Morrigan, his ship was ultimately crippled by that 'pile of garbage'

I think Shay is underrated. I think Shay is a better assassin than most of the other protagonist from the series, even as a Templar, he still fights for freedom and to protect others; Shay is my favourite Assassin’s Creed protagonist.
