The fact that your AC4 survive vid and this are hours long tells me either two things: You're getting better and better at this, or the Kenway family is just built differently.

@@masterassassin791here’s a trick: when they are behind you, go full sail and circle to the back for a cannon assault.
It always amazes me that Haytham is voiced by a Canadian actor. He's so good at talking with british accent that you would never thought it's not a Brit voicing him.
Adrian Hough (Haytham's voice actor) trained in England to become an actor, where he honed a British accent.
Yea canadian to british must be harder than the other way around
Fun fact: Connor shoots with his left hand because he's actually left-eyed. In archery, you distinguish which hand you shoot with depending on which eye you can wink with. The other option, if you're able to wink both, is to see which eye keeps a distant object in focus while winking either eye. I'm right handed, but left-eyed so I hold the bow with my right and shoot with my left. Just a small, interesting detail as left-eyed shooters are rarer than right-eyed.
Wow, that's so cool. I never new that. I always thought archery was interesting ever since I read the Ranger's Apprentice novels, which explained a lot about archery

I remember playing this game without knowing that Haytham wasn’t the protagonist and thinking that he would just put on the robes from the cinematic trailer, I was excited to watch him learn to climb trees and using the tomahawk.
I played this game with no idea Haytham was a Templar. I thought he was Connor's mentor at first, then realized it was his father because of the last name. I was kinda bored at first because I thought it was just normal assasin stuff. But when they started not saying the tenets when initiating Lee, I thought something was off. The moment I found out he was a Templar, I was like, "this is awesome!"
People may hate on this game but this is one of my favorite ac games. So good man. I’m actually replaying it right now and it’s just as good as it was when I first played it.
Agree!
I've also been replaying it the last week, honestly love it so much
It's the only one i'll never hate, everytime i play it again i discover something new and focus on more details. Connor is my always my favorite, as well as Haytham.

I love AC III so much. So underrated. Maybe it’s nostalgia but I dont care I love it.
Agreed, when I was first allowed to play assassin's creed this was the one I insisted I play first purely because of the trailers and Smosh Assassin's Creed 3 rap
@@catsim2006 yes. I remember my dad showing me the trailers when I was very young. I was 5 when AC III released (I know, very young) and the AC III trailer was my favorite purely because connor was the most badass assassin out of the others in the trailers and I liked the timeperiod.

Pretty sure Altair invented double hidden blades with the help of apple of Eden. Da Vinci decripted Altairs writings for Ezio, and that's how he got them. It's explained in AC Revelations and AC2. Doesn't really make sense for Arno not to use them. Maybe they forgot their own lore.
Honestly this was so fun to watch. I’m so upset at how it ended. I would’ve loved to seen you complete the full game
As soon as you climbed the tree and I saw there was only a couple minutes left, I knew exactly what was going to happen. Several of the Frontier viewpoints are bugged like that, or you’ll climb them in the summer and can’t see the ground through the leaves. Also I find it super funny that I’m currently replaying this game and I am currently at exactly the same spot in the story, I just finished that mission yesterday and am meeting Haytham in New York next.
I find it quite awesome that haytham and connor are so well trained they stand up when synchronizing
I wish they would've done that for other protagonists
@@QuatarTarandir that’s what makes them special

I was so surprised that Haythem was a Templar. I played it when I was in middle school and didnt pay any attention to the art, and I got it in a bundle of other games and wasnt looking at it too much either. So yes, the twist blew my mind

This is honestly my favorite AC tied with Unity
That’s funny since it literally ties with unity 😂
Use eagle vision if you ever get stuck like that , the was a bunch of leaves behind the taller tree branch where Connor was chilling but while hanging if he used the drop button he would drop to the V-shaped branch below. Nevertheless it was funny seeing him struggle like that on nothing :P
Dude I can't tell you how happy I was when I saw the runtime of this video. I will watch literally every single long-play AC video you release. It's just really cool to have something like this out there. It's like playing and being able to experience part of the game through new eyes and without going and playing that game again for the fifth time lol. Keep it up!
18:38 I feel unity’s was one of the best as well, especially because Arno’s leap of faith is actually a leap of faith, he has no clue if he’s going to live but he has faith
The "GIVE ME LEE" chain at 1:13:55 had me rolling just for it to happen again at 1:18:30
No matter how many times I hear "GIVE ME LEE" I will always love and welcome it
Maturing is that you understand Shay was right. Achillies almost brought the world to disaster. But Achillies did try and redeem himself by training Connor
That "Give me leee" Loop 😂
I remember first seeing the trailer of this game in summer 2012, traversing the snow and being able to play as a native, but came to playing myself discovered Haytham as the playable character and I was a bit shocked, that 'Wait what' from Desmond was literally my reaction when I found out Haytham's true allegiance
Funny thing, this is my first AC I played, and I passed my history class because of this game.
I love these videos so much, thank you for putting the time and effort. I know it wasn't easy recording and editing a 3 hour long video
Finally going to watch Master Assassin playing an AC game for so long. I wish you start your separate channel solely for gameplay
This game's intro cutscenes is the best 'til today, William's voice actor is so good man.
Such a cool detail when connor gets his rope dart you can see some other assasin robes you can see bayaks edward shay and ezio’s 1:43:44
Fun fact about voice actors in Assassins Creed, Robert Faulkner is voiced by Kevin McNally the guy who is Gibbs in Pirates of the Caribbean
my god, when the melody kicks in at 18:16 ... makes me tear up every time! i can't wait to hear it played live in august in cologne! will probably cry like a little baby xD
You know, there actually IS a parkour-down in the Colonial saga games. You have to basically hold the run button + the B or Circle button, or whatever substitutes for it. The character will actually sorta descend a bit more precisely instead of Leaping crazy.
Also, about Conno's mom's voice-actress; she's actually a Native-American actress, and even shares her first name with the character. there's a chance they named the character after her, since her name is 'Kanieh:tiio Horn'. Actor Noah Watts also has some Native American ancestry somewhere in his heritage.
i really like the particular part where connor says "give me lee"
1:29:18 In syndicate they do use two blades, they just have a massive gauntlet on one arm. The other still has a hidden blade, just more hidden. You can tell by some of the animations, especially double assassinations.

Idk why, but I'd love to see full playthroughs of these games with your commentary. These videos alone are kinda comforting in a way, takes my mind off of how bad things can be in life, you know? Anyway, I'm subbed and binging these videos lol
The voice acting for Desmond's father was done by John de Lancie; he's most famous for playing the character of Q in Star Trek, The Next Generation and also appears in Voyager, DS9 and Picard; he was also a recurring character in Stargate SG-1 and played in a shortlive series named Legend alongside Richard Dean Anderson (the original MacGyver and also a main character in Stargate SG-1) as a crazy inventor. I had the pleasure of meeting him years ago at a small con in the Netherlands. We had an interesting talk about whisky and bourbon.
2:12:03 Connor is like the only assassin who doesn’t have to flee after a successful assassination. Our beloved one man wrecking ball 😅

The language that the Mohawk/Kanien'keha:ka people speak in game is actually Kanien'keha, their language. The person who voices Ziio is Mohawk, and her uncle helped them translate everything accurately and helped the team pronounce everything correctly.
It's nice that they actually got the people they were portraying involved.

This man is why i started playing assassin's creed again
I remember the first time playing AC3, that twist with Haytham was insane! I think the thing i like most about AC3 is blurring that black and white image of assassins vs templars into more of a grey. Those talks connor has with Haytham, showing that there isn't one good side and one bad side, that both sides are flawed in their own ways. I appreciate those moments with belloq in unity and the whole situation of rogue as well for the same reasons. Good and bad people on both sides.
Man that edit when haythem says my father brought me here as a child 👏👏👏
Love you bro, keep doing ❤️❤️, you voice is special
Nice video guy !!! Keep going !
I came on the commentary section 10 months after the release of the video (lol) to see if someone commentated about that. At 1:20:00 , you talked about similarity between AC3 scenario and Star Wars. If you want to know it's because of a book : The Hero with a Thousand Faces write by Joseph Campbell about a archetipal and universal style of narration. It really inspired GL to write Star Wars (he said it) and it might inspired AC3 writers. So everyone know now !
Omg you are the perfect TH-camr for me. I love assassin’s creed, and I love assassin‘s creed three I agree with you when you said the game is underrated and you’re talking about assassin’s creed Nexus like how much more can I like you
I mean this in the best ways, but there is something about watching this video and the way that you joke and reference other things in the series that reminds me of watching RadBrad play AC4 back when i was a kid saving money to buy a ps4. Wonderfully nostalgic
I was one of the people that was surprised from the twist, i bought a bunch of ac games at the same time and didnt even see the cover art for 3 and just immediately pressed play. I was very shocked at the twist at first because I really started liking Haytham, and didn't really enjoy playing as Connor at first. This made me love the intro to the game though, so I didn't really understand why people hated it's length, but after realizing most people knew about it I can see why some found it annoying to play as Haytham that much before Connor, I still love it though.

This was the first assassins creed game I ever played, so Haytham’s Templar reveal was completely lost on me. I was really confused later when it turned out that the templars were the bad guys
in the part of the two hidden blades that you spoke, it´s weird in Syndicate, because ther is actually animations with two hidden blades in the striking or in corner assassinations, also when Jacob stealth kill in sneak mode. I guess they try to implement the two blades again but forgot simple details in the design of the two assassins
Also, there's a scene of Jacob assassinating a general (I think) in one of the levels where you can see him use both blades to cut his throat
