Versafine Clair rocks. I now have 20 of the 24 colors. Everything you said is so true. Imagine and Tsukineko knocked it out of the park with this formulation!!
Tsukineko is my favorite inks. I have Memento Dew Drops and Versafine Mini. I love the mini, but glad they made these, because Versafine doesn't come in many colours.
thanks for the review, I have so many inks already I was waffling on these. I totally understand the 'terror' that comes with stamping a sentiment on a finished piece. ugh :( messed up so many times, or it stamps well but somehow magically there are little "hairs" of ink that fall on my page. irksome
So is the difference between the VersaFine and the VersaFine Clair that the Clair is waterproof and can be embossed even 2-5 minutes after stamping? Not sure what the diffference is between the two inks? thank you
If you color a whole card and then you’re worried about doing the sentiment, why don’t you use a Misti? Then you can repeat it in exactly the same spot without jeopardy.
I do have a Misti and that's a good point. However, there are times when I've already added embellishments and foam dots to pop things up and using a stamping platform doesn't work so well.
Do you know if they have any plans for a white ink, since Clair is a pigment line? I'm still searching for a crisp white pigment ink...hard to find, cuz they all have squishy pads!
Deborah Anne no you can use it for other stamping too. It’s not safe for your Copics but it is safe for your watercoloring. The colors are brighter and you can emboss minutes after stamping without significant smearing.
Yes! You can't use them with alcohol markers however. So if your end game is to color the rubber stamps with alcohol markers I might try Memento. Also, I've found that a stamping platform can help if you aren't getting good coverage! I do find though that this ink usually doesn't need a double stamp with a platform 😍
I have the reinkers for the VersaFine Claire ink pads and wondered how to go about reinking them? Have you done this? The reinker bottle says to clean the ink pad surface with a clean cloth before reinking? I have never done this to a stamp pad before reinking and do they mean blot with a paper towel? Thank you.
If you have an old credit card, scrape the top of the pad gently a few times to get off any grime. Do it gently so you don't snag the fibers of the pad. Then add the ink around the pad. I like to then take the credit card and try to spread the ink evenly across! Hope this helps.

@@deborahanne9793 I have blended with them! They work pretty well with blending because they do take a bit to dry. I have a few videos on the imagine channel where I do just that! I don't think they will come out with more colors, but I could be wrong. It would be amazing to have some softer colors wouldn't it!?

No, this stamp set is a number of years old and I believe that Simon Says Stamp discontinued it! I know though, isn't it sooo cute!?

Sabrina tsukineko actually carries both dye and pigment based inks. The Versafine clair is pigment and the memento is a dye ink! Hope this helps.

Deborah Anne not with alcohol markers no. But it does work with pencils and it’s safe if you’d like to watercolor an image stamped with it.

I store mine flat. I've never had any problems. The lid seals so tight I think you could store them anyway you'd like. They are air tight!
