inflatable boat repair - how to repair your rib seat

Just done one of the seat straps on my old dinghy. Exactly as you showed, but 2 x coatings of glue as per tin instructions. Used a GRP roller to compact and exclude any bubbles, then placed a brick on patch to help adhesion.. Thank you very much.

Do you need to slightly deflate the boat to get the patches to sit flush?
I have the same “off-market” patches you have and it seems like, if applied to a fully inflated tube, it would have air bubbles

Hi yes I deflate a little. It's a trade off you need enough air to keep the shape. These large patches are quite difficult to do.
