Welcome aboard! Take a 10 minute walkthrough of a small houseboat as we share some of our experiences and upgrades on this 2023 Catamaran Cruiser "Lil Hobo".
Great setup! I'm a firm believer in the LiFe4PO batteries after using them a couple of years. I like that rear head design too. That is some fantastic water out there, I can see why you would use that instead of hauling it around in a tank. I hope y'all are staying cool on these extraordinarily warm days we are having.
Thanks for the feedback! I have been enjoying your videos for along time now. I actually would love a small conversation with you soon, I have some questions about a few "lil hobo" upgrades (intellisteer) and I would welcome your experience. Hopefully we will speak soon, I will reach out. Have a great day!
This model can be purchased new from the factory with a custom fit trailer. Occasionally a used one will become available to the market. These boats are trailerable, and can be hauled around, which is exactly what I do. There website is www.catamarancruiser.com. Thanks for your time to communicate and share.
According to the manufacturer, it is about 18 inches. And that seems about right from actual experience. Thanks for the time to communicate and share. Have a great day.
These houseboats are only built to order with a lot of variances available. You would have to contact the manufacturer to get a current price for what you would be interested in. Thanks for the communication. Have a great day.
Thanks for your communication! These are hand fabricated sealed fiberglass hulls. They are segmented into about 3 foot sealed chambers inside. There are 10 chambers in each pontoon. I hope this helps.
Thanks for your communication and input. We definitely considered a larger engine. But ultimately we went with the 60 HP HIGH THRUST. It has a special propeller that is like being in low gear. Lots of low range thrust but basically no high end speed. So it maneuvers well at docks and loading trailers etc. At a lower rpm, She trolls quietly and efficiently at about 5 mph. Top speed is only about 8 or 9 mph. Yet this matched our intention, this boat does not commute. Its job is to find the next beach or bay, usually on a smaller lake. We were able to shave a hundred plus pounds in weight with a smaller engine as well as quite a bit of money savings. If our intention was to commute longer distances, we would likely have gone another way with the engine choice. Thanks again for your time to share, have a fantastic day.
My new favorite loop boat lol, shallow drafter
That is super nice. Everything is in its place and all the requirements for a nice leisurely short or long voyage.
Wow! Incredible! Quite the little home on the lake! Thank you for the tour!!

So it's basically my college apartment, but on pontoons. Nice.

Very, Very, nice BUT60HP for that size boat/floating RV, I would think it would Struggle its little self to death.
