Don't sweat trimming a few branches from trees, pruning will actually stimulate growth. Great setup dude, love the offgrid lifestyle. Have you considered doing the great American loop?
@davidburdick594 👍 thanks bud... I appreciate the tip. 🌳. I grew up on the great lakes, and don't want to go back, 😆 so the loop is a no go for me. To much driving and gas.
I like everything that you’re doing there. Epic places to find sanctuary and peace. Foraging, fishing, hunting. Doing your best to blend in and be a part of it all. It’s what we were built for. I like the houseboat and dingy setup. I like your thoughts and future plans too. Much respect for living your life the way you do. I am a wanderer also, but I’m on foot in the Northern Rocky Mountains. Different places, different styles, but the goals are the same. Give your two loyal pals a pet for me, stay safe out there, and much peace to you✌🏻
Very kind words, I truly appreciate them. I have a good friend who , also is a wanderer she loves mountains too. River and Cricket say hi bud. Thank you for the kind words.
That' pond your parked at in the beginning is nice. Probably some good bass fishing in there. And probably little to no people back there behind you year round
I appreciate the heads up...They are pretty cool to me. 4 years only asked me 1 time for registration. I didn't have it on me and the game warden followed me back to the houseboat to let me get it. I stay away from the main channel too.
Once again, (not like I needed it) comes yet another reminder why houseboats are so damn cool, and why they can take you to places that no other big boats can get to. Privacy, Serenity, Tranquility. I Love it!!
Good question, I have been stuck a few times. Once for weeks, but my dingy folds up into a bag, I carry it to water and use it to get supplies until it rains again 👍😀. th-cam.com/video/AbmhhCYzg9s/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Rupgxlj8syOMexeI

My grandpa use to catch snapping turtles in Dale Hollow Lake in Kentucky. What beautiful footage. Thanks for showing a place close to where I grew up. 😊
You found another little piece of paradise. Wow. Looks like it’s pretty hot in Tennessee, how are y’all holding out? Do you have to run the ac for cricket?
Nice secret spot IDK I think I would be afraid of losing cricket but she seems to listen to you. Have u ever gotten bitten by a snake out there? Great video look forward to the next one ! 👍MC 🐆😎
👍 Thanks MC... I have lost cricket for a few hours when I was in the RV. But never in the boats, she only goes outside if I'm with her, and River watching. He is extremely protective of her. Most times I'm on islands so she can't go too far... Lol 🤣 thanks for watching another video bud.
I'm not sure which voice you mean. I talked to her in a Stern voice To listen, a baby voice when i'm playing with her and my normal voice most times... Cats pick up on tone more than the actual words. She actually really loves when I sing. Anytime I start singing. She runs up and starts grubbying along my legs and stuff.
Just a couple of thoughts yes cutting the branches is preferable to breakingvthem off better gor the trees healing process. Any time you see vines climbing yrees always cut them off preferably close to the ground helps retard regrowth. Just another thought and i don't know if it's practical, but Domectic now makes an AC unit thst eorks off battery with the ckrrect amount of solsr abd and batteries you msy be more comfortable at night and ot have to listen to the generator run. And finally i didn’t watch if available the build of your houseboat but ylu would greatly benefit from spray foa. Insulation cheap effective but if you do use ( opencell) not closed cell it will retain water if ylu develop leaks
A set of loppers would really be handy for sure to clear branches. I get not wanting to leave a trace, but they'll grow back. JMHO Thanks for another great video my friend.
Living the dream, kudos to you, I have done my share of island camping on the Allegheny River in Pa with friends but never solo, it's on my bucket list

I was a vegetarian for 12 years and swear I could sleep in the middle of a swamp without a single mosquito bite. I go back to eating (minimal) meat, and they think I'm an all you can drink blood bank. I mentioned my thoughts to a friend that's a DFW officer and he says "deer are vegetarian and I've seen them driven mad by mosquitos and run off a cliff to get away from them." Another friend in the room was a vegetarian and said she hadn't been bit by a mosquito since a year after going vegetarian herself. I dunno, I think they like carnivores when they can get them and settle for herbivores if that's all that's available. 🤔
@@Voo_Doo_Blue I have been a vegetarian for over 15 years. I never "cheat" so that's not the problem. But, I am always the first in my family to get attacked by mosquitos.
@rmacster well, you just blew my theory out the window. Lmao I never cheated either, I just gave it up after 12 years is all. But I'm still 75% veggie, with mostly fish and fowl for meat when I do partake.
