When our 3 sons were young (they are all in their 40’s now) we used to go to SD a few times a year because it was some inexpensive to vacation there-not so much now. Lol oh yeah we used to go to Disneyland a couple times a year because it was so cheap then.
I live in San Diego and love going to Coronado. The Grand Floridian was based on the Hotel Del. Also the movie Some Like it Hot was filmed there. L Frank Baum also wrote some of the wizard of oz books at the hotel and designed one of the chandeliers in the Del. I'm glad you enjoyed your time!
There is a self guided tour. But if you come back take the tour with the guide. So much history they tell you about the hotel and the island. And they also take you through out the hotel and areas guest don’t see. Well worth the cost.
I have been watching this in increments because I want to take it all in! That’s our ship, we will be on the Knottingsham soon! We have never been to California, so we are taking a cruise. What better way to see it than from the ports! Thanks for some tips ❤
Welcome to my beautiful home town 😎 Wow I haven't heard about that Coco Bomb place before, thank you for mentioned it. I'm going to try it this week. You guys actually showed us a new place we didn't know it before, it's funny haha
@AdventuresinMillerland wow I just checked their menu, OMG I can't wait to try it. The creme brulee with fruit caught my eye right away lol. Thanks again
San Diego is just lovely. I took a cruise from there and had a hotel room on the bay. it was so magical all the lights the night before and then waking up to see the cruise ships across the street the next day.. Everything is so nice.
❤ i saw the eras tour on miami n2 and have been so excited for your family to get to experience it. I’ve been watching livestreams since summer 2023 and nothing can compare to being there, and i have a feeling you guys will LOVE it 😊 This video has made me want to move to San Diego, the Mexican food there seems like something i could happily eat for the rest of my life.
funnily enough i correctly guessed the two restaurants you ate at (outside of belching beaver) - coasterra and peohe's haha glad you guys had a great time in my hometown!
Thanks! We haven’t talked about that movie. Weee seeing Wicked & Moana 2 soon, so we’ll have to decide if it’s worth it. Almost $100 for all 4 of us to see a movie in theatres now!!!
We just got off the Koningsdam in Vancouver. It was headed to San Diego. We were on a 17 night cruise to Hawaii. Before this, I had done 6 Disney cruises. I would probably try Holland America again. Quality was comparable to Disney. I've been enjoying your vlogs.
Wow!! A 17 night cruise!!! Sounds amazing! We’ve seen a few vlogs on Holland and the vibe isn’t for us, but it does look nice! Thanks so much for watching 😊
I am a native of San Diego and I need to be become a tourist of San Diego again for the Day, I believe that picture of Marilyn Monroe is when she was here in San Diego doing a movie at the Del.. did you know that Caesar salad was invented by Italian immigrant Caesar Cardini is said to have invented the dish on July 4, 1924, at his restaurant, Caesar's Place, in Tijuana, Mexico? the cone that you see is the downtown library it’s a blocks away from Petco Park…. I need to go to that farmers market in Little Italy.
Have you ever been to San Diego before? Let’s us know your favorite place to eat at or area to hang out in!
Quatro milpas - mex food

@bgogogo Is that a restaurant in SD?
@kimsanders8832 Everything is more $$ now. Definitely makes it harder to travel!
you guys gotta get a California burrito or carne asada fries next time! Staple food in SD! The more hole in the wall the taco shop, the better :)
What a great time! So glad you got a little grown up vacation time together. It looks so beautiful down there!
Thank you! Always good to get away together 😊
Hey guys!! So nice seeing you again you have been missed !!! Thanks for sharing look forward to seeing you again soon 😊
Awww thanks! You’re so sweet 🥹

Thanks for the tip! We’ll definitely look into that if we go back.
So nice to see you both! ❤
Thank you! 🤗

It was really good! Another great spot was MNGO Cafe in the Kearny Mesa area! Didn’t film that, but it was really really good 😋
@AdventuresinMillerland yayy thank you for mentioning that one. I'll check it out too :)

We love sailing out of SD! There’s nothing like it that we’ve experienced. And it’s only a short flight from where we live!
I’m so glad you’re having a great time! ❤❤
Thanks!!
Love my Level 8 too! Coronado looks amazing! Great to see you guys again!
That’s so great hear! And thanks 😊

So fun! We’re excited to share what we can! So much good food in SD! 😋
Nice video! We had the chance to stay at the Hotel Del Coronado, the new part. But we walked thru the halls in the original part, such a cool place!
Yeah, lots of new buildings around it that look like it was part of the hotel itself. That would definitely be a fun experience!!
funnily enough i correctly guessed the two restaurants you ate at (outside of belching beaver) - coasterra and peohe's haha glad you guys had a great time in my hometown!
Nice job! We had so much fun!! Those were amazing places to enjoy a good meal 😋
There's a Naval Base in Coronado called Amphibious :)
There are three Naval Bases on Coronado…
Enjoyed the Vlog. Maybe a trip to San Diego is in our future. Unrelated question, does the family plan on seeing Mufasa?
Thanks! We haven’t talked about that movie. Weee seeing Wicked & Moana 2 soon, so we’ll have to decide if it’s worth it. Almost $100 for all 4 of us to see a movie in theatres now!!!
@ Good choices for movies. Tickets can be costly nowadays!!!!

What brewery were you at in the beginning? My brother lives in San Diego and it looked so good!
That was Belching Beaver’s Tasting Room in North Park.they have 4 different locations in the greater SD area (Oceanside, 2 in Vista, & North Park)

The farmers market is so much fun! I think being a “tourist” in your home town would be fun anywhere! Esp in SD 😊
