Kareem is everything that is good about America. Hard working guy who has fully embraced his new culture while honoring his own. The handle bar mustache and cowboy hat top it all off.
Rarely do I see a guy on youtube and just go wow that seems like a great guy. I'm not American so this really means nothing comming from me, but man does he feel like a person who has embraced the culture he's moved to, while bringing his own, and man do I respect him for it.
Next time I go to NYC, I'm specifically going to Arnie & Ebonie's Soul Food truck. What a beautiful and sweet human. People like her need to be supported!! Plus I love soul food 😋 ❤
It’s actually amazing to watched this channel featuring this amazing culture and affordable meals in the Wheels specially for those who has plans to travel in US with tight budget.
Those Ramen Noodles look killer! The Venezuelan food looked like it has the potential but i would expect fresh made on the truck not from a package. Thanks Sonny for another glimpse of your life.
As a Venezuelan who loves arepas and cachapas you are totally right. I was disappointed to see the cachapa was packaged. The arepa was weird too, and you never open the arepa like that, you should not open all the way so nothing falls when you are eating it. Also in Venezuela no one eats the Yuca with that cheese.
The thing with Venezuela food trucks is that most of them use shortcuts to make the food faster, but lowering the quality. There a handful of them that are authentic and good, but of course the ingredients, specially the cheese it's hard to find. Disappointed by this truck. I know lots of them here in Houston. That deserve more attention.
That’s what they did here with Korean fried chicken. There’s literally nothing that tops it & idgaF what anyone says. This place in Texas called BonChon has unbelievable Korean fried chicken. Just my opinion tho haha
Once I saw this episode I have made this version of deep fried Russel sprouts and lemon mayo for several people in my extended family.. we all love it 39:30
I love how Sonny helps educate us about the foods available in various ways and locations. I especially appreciate when he educates us about food from around the world but being available in our own community. It helps the owners get free advertising and it lets them educate their food cultures or traditions with many that might not even try the food otherwise!
How hard do you think the rude hot dog cart guy's wife divorced him when they realized they just lost SO many potential customers because of his childish behavior? Like, being in this video was basically thousands of dollars worth of free advertising, and then add the fact that if I was ever there looking for a hot dog, and I recognized that guy from this video, I'd be like 'I suddenly want sushi, instead.' Like, he REALLY screwed himself here.
Who knows. He might be in trouble with the law. Plus whatever foreign country he is from their sexist misogynistic lower class mentality does them in. They don't get American culture. That is why the United States have to break up all the fights between these ignorant third world nations.
Maybe he had warrants and didn't want to draw attention to himself. I can't think of any other reason why he wouldn't want free major advertisement for his business.
sonny shows us a peak into why every culture is great and why the food he shows is signifigant to the culture, it gives us a deeper understanding of how that part of the world evolved compared to our own struggles and where we were watching the video, you feel the food through the way he and his team documents it

As an American surrounded by immigrants it truly warms my heart to see the people in Texas. Especially the Egyptian guy. He fell in love with it and immersed himself in American culture bringing his own Egyptian style. That’s awesome. He seems like a really stand up guy. I get the same crispy effect on outside and steamed effects on inside ( that’s why I cover my frying pan in beginning). I also save the left over refrigerated sprouts to add to my ramen! Yummmmmm
