I have looked at several channels to glean information and I found your explanations for the exercises helpful. Currently 5 days post operative and realise I am sleeping with my operated foot leaning out wards in bed. Very helpful.

This video should be mandatory for everyone having a total hip replacement. Why? It is a 12 min video giving you enough time to pause and do the exercises alongside of the video. Second: most people who have this procedure are older and can't remember what to do, and what precautions to take. Third: you can do the exercises as many times as you can handle at home and not go to a facility. Fourth: it will save money as a copay, gas traveling, and insurance. Fifth: many people can't get to a rehabilitation center, or are quarantined. Other advanced videos should be made using this format. A year later after surgery I still am having problems waking. Video bike exercises use this format affectly.

Really good explanations and examples. Very professional..no need to try to be humorous like other ones I've watched. Some actually show the patient on a mat on the floor. Now things like that should be fact checked and censored. Thank you!!

I had posterior hip replacement after a fall. I am a 78-year-old female. I was taken to the ER and the orthopedist did the posterior replacement. In two weeks, I had a hip dislocation and it was very painful and I could not move. The ambulance was called and the original doctor did not see me, but he had another doctor do conscious sedation and he just "popped" it back into place by manipulation of the leg, I believe. I was discharged home and no longer than about 4 hours later, I had another hip dislocation and how painful that was as well, and I could not move. I was sent to the ER again and then the original doctor performed a revision of the implant and I was in surgery for 4 hours. I was discharged 4 days later. I am just so worried this will happen again and I will not be able to tolerate it. I have been trying to adhere to the precautions, as well. My question is: "If I had a hip dislocation just 4 hours after the first dislocation, wouldn't that mean it was the fault of the doctor who performed the procedure? Thanks, any information anyone has would be helpful to me.
