Putting everything back together in the right order was a bit tricky, without being able to play the video in reverse. It was a great feeling to realize that I didn't have any screws left over. The toughest part is to remember where the odd-length screws have to go.
Thanks for a very clearly presented procedure.

I would say the video neglected to show half the procedure.

This is the way I cleaned out the cooling system:
1: Turn off laptop and remove AC power cable
2: Put hand over two exhaust vents
3: Put mouth over other two exhaust vents, like you're going to french kiss it
4: Blow as hard as you can. Hear the fan spin wildly and watch the dust fly out of the fan vent on the bottom of the case
5: Switch hands and mouth 👄 to the other exhaust vent and blow again
6: Vacuum up the dust that you blew all over the place
    7: Reattach AC power cable
    8: Repeat semi-annually.
    9: Purchase an i3.
At 100% cpu, the temps are back below 70 degrees C in a 72 degree F room. I might have considered replacing the fan, heat-sink compound, and adding a bluetooth card if the video didn't neglect to show how to reassemble the computer. But I did get rid of XP and installed Linux Mint Mate, my first Linux. So far, I'm running a distributed computing project on it from BOINC.

Step 1: Run up ten flights of stairs
    Step 2: Open window
Step 3: Hold laptop out window
    Step 4: Release
Repeat process for additional laptops. Any questions?

You have GOT to be kidding me!!!
WTF stupid design is Dell, so as to have to take the ENTIRE computer apart just to clean or replace fan????????
People that have dogs and cats in their houses need to clean the fan monthly to prevent overheating....
so I can already see that my mother has never done this, as I can see all the hair in her computer.
    stupid stupid design.
Now I'm going to waste half a day messing around with something that Lenovo puts the fan under a separate case that you just remove its own separate hatch cover, and voilà you can get the to the fan to clean it and the vents.

BLOODY HELL... REALLY!!?? - Dell do not want to make self servicing easy. It was an old lappy and only worth £60 second hand so in the end I threw it away instead. The one thing I have learned from this is "Never EVER buy Dell"

So to just replace a fan I have to loose my entire computer?😳😳😭
