It really is incredible what some developers are pulling out of the Quest2 in terms of performance and looks. Like could you imagine even 5 years ago if someone showed you some of the gameplay from The Quest 2 and told you that it's from a standalone headset that can cost you only $300 and that's all you need to play! I just play Pavlov PC on my Quest 2 with Airlink. Your talking about minor changes to play on your PC or without one. But Quest 2 does both so win, win lol
If you have a quest and a pc that can run it, buy pavlov on steam and buy virtual desktop on Quest, it's definitely worth it if you wanna experience Pavlov in its full version. It's really nice
I have both versions and I always play Shack. I prefer native games. I'm happy with the Quest graphics. I think they had the gore from the pc version for a little while but it caused bad performance issues so they removed it.
@@EyesonVR I think I just like the ease of just jumping into the game. The pc version is definitely better but I always prefer native ports over streaming. I also like the idea of being able to take it anywhere with all my progress.
I here what your saying, its the ease and convince of the native versions right? I think something like Pluto Sphere is going to solve this for you and others, PCVR on the move anywhere anytime all through the headset 👍😀
You would be surprised, you can use the 5g from your phone and get good results so far as I have experienced 😀 So there's options :) Just need to give the Pluto boys times to get it perfected
Now man in this new update there was a new map from pc bunker new engine which encludes new graphics and new sounds with the side of scopes gore hand gestures and it may seem now that you don’t need a gaming pc anymore for spectacular graphics
Then it needs implementing haha but it's good to know :) By all means this is just a straight up comparison no shade thrown towards the guys that make Pavlov 👍😀
I instinctively went PCVR because not only can I upgrade the hardware at will to make the experience better, but I can also get higher frames and graphical fidelity on my Index.
The only difference overall is that the sharpness on pc is better and the maps are more detailed but the gameplay is exactly the same in both which actually matters the most and the fact that the quest version is free really does explain the downgrades
Very true HedgehogBoi, its crazy how many people though are purely interested in the visuals, I did an Onward comparison and clarified both version play exactly the same so Quest users aren't missing out in that regard but people just wanted to talk about the graphics 🤷🏻♂️
Great video man! Do you think a gtx 970 i5-6600k and 16gb of ram could run Pavlov smoothly with a kiwi link cable? Because I might save up for real pavlov, although beta shack is alot of fun!
I think it would run it smoothly but you won't have your settings on high I will say that, you could run it just don't expect the most out of the graphics.
Two years? For Pavlov? It was on side Quest about 6 months after the Quest 1 came out....or do you mean two years for YOU to get it? Lol Glad it's on app lab regardless, way easier
Shack is shack it dosnt matter where you get it from :) There's some WW2 stuff in shack there's just not a bunch of official maps is all I mean so you should find ww2 play 👍
As far as I'm aware the snowy map Syberia isn't avaliable on Quest right now as they are working on it, your best way to check is to go to 'play offline and select hunt and then go to the map selection screen, if its there its in the game but if its not its because of the guys working on it 😀👍
I was trying to google but I can’t seem to find a straight answer: If I purchase Pavlov VR on steam, can I use air link/virtual desktop to play it with oculus quest 2 headset? I looked at the info on steam store. It only mentions oculus rift with other VR headsets as being compatible…. So is that correct or they just didn’t update it?
I think that's a good call as the Quest version is basically the same just with not as good graphics. If advise anyone to do this if that can before spending money good tip Devon! 😀👍
I can confirm Pavlov Shack is still free :) And the devs have said in an interview they are hoping for the full release 'later this year' and that was in March 2021 so 🤷🏻♂️
Oh and the gore on quest is completely innacurate. Gore was on pavlov shack at first app lab release but they took it out due to fps, they're gonna release a new gore 2.0 in the summer!

I'm a shack player and personally I think I will stick with shack since A: PCVR is expensive and I don't have that kind of money, and B: The difference isn't really noticeable and will be no doubt improved in the future
Pavlov: Shack was announced to be one of Sonys very first titles for the PSVR 2. Should see a nice healthy boost in numbers. Now if only we could enable crossplay between pavlov vr and pavlov shack.
That cross play between Shack and Pavlov won't happen I don't think, you'd end up with an Onward situation to make it work and people would be so so so pissed
i use the rift s even though its not new and it actully it runs really well on pavlov the graphics are decent are the rift s and also it looks really good.
i started playing on v29 so i was confused ''what do you mean its not on the quest i see it all the time'' but then i went to look at the date and its understandeble
it was obvious that pc handles better graphics, but personally i prefer playing on quest, not because i like ugly graphics, but because since my pc isn't really capapble for vr, and also my wifi isn't fast enough, so i prefer playing with slightly worse graphics but less pixelated, the resolution via virtual desktop in my case is like 144p and 50mbps, while on quest i can play in almost 4k with no latency at all
i like the mobility of the quest, but ik that the rift s runs smoother for pcvr, should i just get the quest 2 for the best of both worlds ? or is the rift s that much better for pc
I would say get the Quest 2 not just because you get the best of both worlds and can play wirelessly but also because Oculus no longer supports the Rift s, if you got one and had troubles they wouldn't help you, but with Quest 2 they would for sure and it will come with a warranty 😀👍
Idk if you still check comments on this. Some Steam reviews have said that the developers have abandoned the PCVR version. Is this true? Should I get the Quest 2 version since it's actually being updated??
It certainly has been a while since an update for PC but the Quest is seeing more updates as the devs are trying to get it to catch up to PC. PCVR is still supported by the devs but its so far ahead in terms of Quest, that's why your seeing less updatesbfor PC but its still supported and still awesome 👍
Would be interesting to see what’s needs to be added to the Quest hardware to make both versions look the same. First what is obvious, that by adding more system / video memory you should get better textures very easily. Geometry wise maybe a fullspec XR2 like in the Vive Focus 3, or a XR2 pro /3 should be at least enough for Pavlov to get parity. For other PCVR games like I.e. Zero Caliber there is much more power needed
I don't have the best pc and don't know much about pc specs but do you think I could use virtual desktop on the Oculus app with AMD Ryzen 3 4300U with Radeon Graphics 2.70 GHz, 2700 Mhz, 4 Cores, 4 Logical Processors? Could it work with the lowest settings? It's a pc for working.

@@EyesonVR no no, I was referring to how the sights look, they’re extremely pixilated on some guns or even blurred for me so it’s hard to keep them lined up
Oh right I see that's my bad, I'm not sure what's causing that, they are a little fuzzy for me on the holo sight but I can't say it bothers me to much but I hear you.
No you can't use the Quest 2 charger for link thats why they sell a separate cable for that (cheeky right?) You'll need a USB 3.0 C cable for link you can find one on amazon for cheap
I know I’ll trigger the pc overlords but the quest 2 is the way to go. You can get an almost 300gb version for $300 which is more than you will ever need seeing most games are around 15gb and you don’t need an expensive pc to run it and I can take it anywhere I want in a box that fits in my bag easily. I was skeptical about the quests for a while thinking they were just low quality and everything looked like rec room but I was wrong I play Pavlov shack everyday and it’s great. Best $300 I’ve ever spent it puts my old psvr too shame which was almost $500 when it first came out. The only negative thing could say about the quest is the battery life it’s not great about two hour life from fully charged and it takes about that long to get it charged back to %100. That being said you can buy a battery pack for it which extends its play time from two hours to almost eight hours which is insane.
Oh I totally agree with you, when it comes to the most consumer friendly, easy to use, plug and play VR Queet rules there no debate. It's wireless, take it anywhere anytime, get a good battery pack and you can play all day on one charge 👍😀 It has the most popular games on it so your not missing out, sure the graphics aren't great but what do people expect? The gameplays the same and that's what matters. The only thing of course is its run by Facebook, total and complete BS to have to have an account to use a Quest, all the Meta crap there are pushing aswell 🤢 But I'm not ignorant enough to not see what it's done for VR, hell without the Quests I still wouldn't have played VR yet and this channel wouldn't exist, it's the best but 'only game in town' right now and the good far outweighs the bad.
@@EyesonVR yep and I know I literally made a Facebook just to use my quest I hate Facebook haha but I respect what the company has done for the vr world nonetheless.

The quest 2 graphics are kinda like BO1 which honestly what more could you really ask for with a cordless system can’t complain here
Agreed! It dosnt compare to PC but as a standalone unit the Q2 is an amazing peice of kit!
I just play Pavlov PC on my Quest 2 with Airlink.
Your talking about minor changes to play on your PC or without one. But Quest 2 does both so win, win lol
Well played 😂
How great video! Subscribing
Since this video was released, they added more things, like tables to Siberia and fixed the characters.
In the new update they made some graphics much more detailed on quest
I noticed early on in this year when the sound quality dropped in voice chat.
Voice chat is a nightmare recently!
If you wear a skin that doesn't have gloves you can actually see fingerprint details to the hand if you hold it in the right spot.
new update coming out on quest adds alot of new features for the maps, both siberia and sand were reworked, also new character models
Glad to hear it! Those maps need looking at 👍😀
@@EyesonVR also gore was on the quest version a couple of times, but it was disabled due to lag. it'll be back after a few optimizations
If you have a quest and a pc that can run it, buy pavlov on steam and buy virtual desktop on Quest, it's definitely worth it if you wanna experience Pavlov in its full version. It's really nice
I totally agree with this 1000%
So with the virtual desktop you can play your steam games without need for the expensive cable?
@@robertdriscoll84 Yes, it streams the games to the router, which then streams it to the quest. It's definitely worth it, and not just for pavlov
Absolutely! VD can do it all and way better than air link IMO
@@itsKyee1 Oh wow!! That's brilliant! Half Life Alyx here I come

I did! Apart from the maps its pretty close to the PC version! I was really surprised!
@@EyesonVR Agreed
I have both versions and I always play Shack. I prefer native games. I'm happy with the Quest graphics. I think they had the gore from the pc version for a little while but it caused bad performance issues so they removed it.
Really? You prefer shack? Playing the PC version wireless is just as good as shack no?
@@EyesonVR I think I just like the ease of just jumping into the game. The pc version is definitely better but I always prefer native ports over streaming. I also like the idea of being able to take it anywhere with all my progress.
I here what your saying, its the ease and convince of the native versions right?
I think something like Pluto Sphere is going to solve this for you and others, PCVR on the move anywhere anytime all through the headset 👍😀
@@EyesonVR Yeah I would just have to have good internet everywhere I went though. 😢

As soon as I realized that my 1060 3GB can't run anything but on low settings with my quest I started saving for a new GPU.
What are you aiming to get?
@@EyesonVR I had my eyes on a 1660 super but...might as well spend the extra few hundred for a RTX2060.
But I can't find one under $800

that opening though... Mike is that you?!?
Well I am British....might need a hair cut though 😂😜 But seriously love Mike he's half the reason this channel exists
The recent graphic update is gorgeous in quest some maps still look like crap tho
They're making progress witch is a good start 😀👍
yeah maps look like Metal Gear Solid on PS1.
Haha right!?
tbh, after playing shack, it just makes house feel like shack but the only difference being textures
7:53 me in maths class trying to figure out why pie equals 3.14
Now man in this new update there was a new map from pc bunker new engine which encludes new graphics and new sounds with the side of scopes gore hand gestures and it may seem now that you don’t need a gaming pc anymore for spectacular graphics
Thank goodness I never played the older versions of Pavlov shack
It was a dark time 😂
I would like to say that they remastered the shack Siberia, you can see it on the BETA test channel!
Then it needs implementing haha but it's good to know :) By all means this is just a straight up comparison no shade thrown towards the guys that make Pavlov 👍😀
I instinctively went PCVR because not only can I upgrade the hardware at will to make the experience better, but I can also get higher frames and graphical fidelity on my Index.
wish i had an Index lol
Honestly im amazed we get 'mobile' games now that can do all of this and it looks amazing for something strapped to your head with a battery.
I am in total agreement about that Tom
I bet when the full game comes it will be a blast
It'll be the most popular shooter on Quest without a doubt 😀🤘

I got the Quest for Pavlov, it took two years for it to come out 😅 - I downloaded it through the app lab and not side quest.
Two years? For Pavlov? It was on side Quest about 6 months after the Quest 1 came out....or do you mean two years for YOU to get it? Lol Glad it's on app lab regardless, way easier

There's some WW2 stuff in shack there's just not a bunch of official maps is all I mean so you should find ww2 play 👍
@@EyesonVR ok thx
How do you access the snowy map on pavlov shack beta? For some reason I could only find it in the alpha.
As far as I'm aware the snowy map Syberia isn't avaliable on Quest right now as they are working on it, your best way to check is to go to 'play offline and select hunt and then go to the map selection screen, if its there its in the game but if its not its because of the guys working on it 😀👍

I wonder, is the new oculus model (128 gb size one) increase the graphics? or it’ll just stay the same
It will stay the same from what I know, the only graphics increase you'll see will be with the Quest 3 or Quest 2 Pro
There is a new update coming to quest Pavlov and it looks so much better and they fixed the face and made it much more like PC
Iv heard about the update and look forward to it 😀👍
I was trying to google but I can’t seem to find a straight answer: If I purchase Pavlov VR on steam, can I use air link/virtual desktop to play it with oculus quest 2 headset? I looked at the info on steam store. It only mentions oculus rift with other VR headsets as being compatible…. So is that correct or they just didn’t update it?
yes you can basically a quest 2 become a rift by using air link /virtual desktop so every rift compatible are quest 2 compatible
Hey Ken so yeah you can use an Oculus Quest or Quest 2 in place of a Rift useing Link or Air link no problem :) I reccomend 'virtual desktop'

@@EyesonVR True. How could I forget :(
Shack doesn’t have scopes so idk how well that would work
Quest 2, Just like cod bo1 on my wii. PCVR, just like a game made with a unity like engine filled with prebaked lighting and par textures.
i use the rift s even though its not new and it actully it runs really well on pavlov the graphics are decent are the rift s and also it looks really good.
also i got it cheaper than oculus quest :D
Cant argue with that! :)
What is the resolution that you was playing on it in pcvr
And what is your recommend settings for rtx 3060ti and Ryan 5600x
The 100% resolution for the Quest 2 and I don't know what to reccomend for those specs as mine are way worse but I'd say ultra 🤷🏻♂️
i started playing on v29 so i was confused ''what do you mean its not on the quest i see it all the time'' but then i went to look at the date and its understandeble
it was obvious that pc handles better graphics, but personally i prefer playing on quest, not because i like ugly graphics, but because since my pc isn't really capapble for vr, and also my wifi isn't fast enough, so i prefer playing with slightly worse graphics but less pixelated, the resolution via virtual desktop in my case is like 144p and 50mbps, while on quest i can play in almost 4k with no latency at all
It's really cool, in vr glasses, you can play without connecting a PC to play such a game, 👏👏👏👏
Do you mean a VR headset?
@@EyesonVR I'm planning to buy and I like how the vr headset reproduces the game with she mobile

Iv never used it Jens it might be a button like customise that doesn't do anything yet
Luckily for me I don’t care about graphics and am perfectly satisfied with the quest version
Thats great! They both play the same so your not missing out 😀
If you “Airlink” a pc game to the Quest 2 does it have the same effects and graphics as the PC or does it switch it the “Quest Version”?
Airlink will display the PC version on your Quest so you'll get all those sweet sweet PC graphics 👍😀
Hm
Hmmmm?
i like the mobility of the quest, but ik that the rift s runs smoother for pcvr, should i just get the quest 2 for the best of both worlds ? or is the rift s that much better for pc
I would say get the Quest 2 not just because you get the best of both worlds and can play wirelessly but also because Oculus no longer supports the Rift s, if you got one and had troubles they wouldn't help you, but with Quest 2 they would for sure and it will come with a warranty 😀👍
@@EyesonVR okay thank you 💪 im gonna do more research on how both with perform with my pc before i make a final choice
Thats fair enough and I'm glad i could help give you some information 👍
@@lemonincorporated4595 just get the quest 2 with a link cable and you got a better rift s and cna use it wireless
Thats so true and with the Rift S being discontinued its better to get a Quest 2
since I play on quest and have a gaming pc I have both, pavlov on quest and on pc
Does the quest add on to your PC specs (like a EGPU) when you link them or do PCVR games only rely on your PC specs?
PCVR games only rely on your PC specs, the head set is just a way to veiw the game.
@@EyesonVR sad
Idk if you still check comments on this. Some Steam reviews have said that the developers have abandoned the PCVR version. Is this true? Should I get the Quest 2 version since it's actually being updated??
It certainly has been a while since an update for PC but the Quest is seeing more updates as the devs are trying to get it to catch up to PC.
PCVR is still supported by the devs but its so far ahead in terms of Quest, that's why your seeing less updatesbfor PC but its still supported and still awesome 👍
Just own a PC and a quest 2 with link cable

No tutorial needed Creeper, just head over to Steam and buy Pavlov VR, its only free on the Quest and that version is called Pavlov Shack
@@EyesonVR ok
I have only played the quest version and i had no idea there was more to the Siberia map
Right!? I had the same *wtf* moment to!
Why does your quest version look so much better than mine lol
Because I change the settings VIA sidequest ;P Unlock the frame rate disable chromatic aberration etc :)
@@EyesonVR can you tell me your settings please
Sure thing, I set the chromatic aberration to 0, resolution to 720P, FFR off, full rate capture on and leave the other settings alone 👍

Personal problem
I have to agree with I'm Become Error iv never had an issue with the aiming and not heard many people say they have either except if they maybe have bad form or something like that
Agreed, could be poor form or a controller issue but this games gun aim is spot on.

@@EyesonVR they updated graphics sounds and added more attachments like Lazars flashlights and hybrid scopes
Iv seen! It looks alot better!
The only thing of course is its run by Facebook, total and complete BS to have to have an account to use a Quest, all the Meta crap there are pushing aswell 🤢
But I'm not ignorant enough to not see what it's done for VR, hell without the Quests I still wouldn't have played VR yet and this channel wouldn't exist, it's the best but 'only game in town' right now and the good far outweighs the bad.
