I remember the first time I played Onward. I joined an uplink match on subway and told the guys in the lobby I was new to the game. When we got in the match one guy asked which one was me. He told me to stick with him. We carefully made our way through the dark alley and down a short stairway into a lit hallway. It was so quiet it was unsettling. As we went down the hall he was telling me to slow down and stay quiet. Suddenly a gun shot came from around the corner. It was so thunderously loud it scared the piss out of me. I immediately ducked behind some cover scared out of my mind thinking holy shit as more bullets flew overhead. Each bullet sounding like it just missed my head. My teammate had been gunned down. As I sit there behind cover to scared to even peak over the barrier, he was closing in on me. Eventually he gets around the cover and I try to shoot him with no success. I was dead. After that experience I was hooked. Most intense fps game I have ever played. Edit: If you have played the game after September of 2020 that was when update 1.8 came out. Definitely recommend Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades. The sausages might turn you off but trust me, once you start a Take and Hold match you'll just be seeing targets. Definitely the best pure solo shooter in VR.
@@MisterFoxton yeah I love everything about h3vr but the lack of actual enemies puts me off. The real I m of using the weapons is mind blowing though, maybe I'll look into it again then, even if I'm just shooting Sausages..
You know a guy is a boomer when his account is 14 years old
Marvellous video sir, I've been putting money aside for an Index for a while and should be able to afford one either next month or the one after and I'll be getting both of these!
@@murphmusic6671 I just hope it doesn't come back in stock just to sell out for a few months the day before I have the cash!
Hows it holding up?
"You have to get the sight in a perfect place to be able to see through them" This is how it should be, just like in real life.
@Adrian Medina That's what I says, mister :D
yea especially with high magnification scopes
got onward yesterday and holy cow is it incredible
Almost a year later - I can still safely say at least in Onward, you can find a game pretty much all hours of the day.
*chuckles in pavlov always having lobbies to play 24/7 due to GigaChad server list and "hide empty" filter*
Pavlov: Counter Strike VR
Onward: Insurgency VR
@kroooassant yea but as an Oculus quest guy if onward really cames there that will be epic
mr pickle it’s coming on July 30th
@@cliffo55thegamerdog83 I will be the first to get my hand on it it's alot better then pavolv if you ask me
mr pickle and they kept on saying Pavlov was coming to the quest months ago but they aren’t even working on it anymore
@@cliffo55thegamerdog83 the Devs of pavlov arent by anymeans proactive there ain't even any good changes they did to the game since day 1 onward for me plays better maybe cause am an arma fanboy
Pavlov is a little superior for having support for the Razer Hydras x'D
That's how I'm playing atm
Ive had more tactical and serious moments in Onward, and way more fun and laughs in Pavlov VR. They're both amazing games
QUALITY CONTENT RIGHT HERE! THANKS
Very INFORMATIVE gameplay video , great job MIESTRO ! ! ! ! !
I hope Pavlov shack gets updated it’s missing so much stuff like mods friends parties etc
In my opinion it has almost everything it needs but I feel like the modding and custom maps will be fixed when it releases fully
@@blairblar scopes
So to sum it up PAVLOV is like VR Counter strike and ONWARD is like VR Insurgency, right?
Sounds about right.
This is very good video c: i play Pavlov and wanna try Onward
I really like the Co op in Onward. People usually like to work together and communicate.
@@virtualinsider I'm a big fan I play on quest so I don't have pavlov or onward :-(
@@shonxx9109 Both are coming to Quest officially although you can play Pavlov right now in Beta form if you install it through side quest and its free I think.
Do you know if you can sideload steam games because I realy want half life alyx
@@shonxx9109 You an play steam games using the link cable but you will need a powerful PC to run them. Sideloading is just for games that Oculus wont allow on the store. There are some really good free stuff on sideload so you should check it out. I recommend Pavlov and Crisis Vrigade
Onward makes me feel like I’m fully in control of my actions and whatever gun I use is good how I use it.
Thank you for this. Halloween sale just dropped and led me here =) Thumbed up!
Me: *laughs in sidequest*
Pavlov - more casual and has fun casual game modes
Onward - realistic tactical game
Buy Pavlov, there's so much more to it, than just the game itself. Through the ability for people to create custom maps on pavlov, so much custom modes have been created. There's stuff like Zombies, Prison Escape, TTT and much more. It's kinda like Gmod Multiplayer
TTT is soooooo fucking good
@@NovaTedd "load of custom maps" ok buddy...
Onward is more realistic
“includes the original call of duty zombie World War II maps” ... my soul...
excellent video exactly what I needed thanks
"Onward vs Pavlov"
Quest users: Wha?
Pavlov: Shack is availiable via SideQuest. Basically everyone who owns a quest or quest 2 knows.
Him: recoil: me what did you expect there recoil in every single gun in game and irl
I wanted to get pavlov but it's not available on quest so I'm getting onward.
Same
Onward is very fun
I have a quest and I think I want to buy onward now, thanks!
This was very helpful! Thank you
Pavlov = Rushers
Onward = Campers
Choose your poison. LOL
pavlov : arcade kiddies
onward: real men who love realism.
@@cykablyat8862 for real though, people underestimate and downgrade onward when it’s such a great tactical game that literally sends chills down my spine
@@thesovietdoggo9525 no mate the downgrade is better than the new updates
@@thesovietdoggo9525 its more tactical and harder and more realistic, the new updates came out to support oculus quest which made the game significantly worse than it was just so it can be played on the quest too, and it became more arcady because everyone knows theres gonna be a ton of kids on oculus quest
@@cykablyat8862 I meant downgrade as I’m not giving it enough love, but absolutely I agree
I really wish so many people didn't compare the two so much, they're completely different genres.
Conclusion: Onward is more realistic and povlov is more on the enjoying side
Its up to preference
When you were talking about the maps you reminded me of the big rock dude from guardians of the galaxy (Korg) XD
10:16
is it just me?
Underrated comment 😂😂
I've Both, But having the Quest 2 and a lot of playspace, Onward was the best choice, insanely fun
Yea pavlov needs a lower time to kill. I just run around with a knife and dominate on tdm because it takes to long to kill me and I can kill them in one hit with the knife
Headshot kills pretty fast so opponents just have to get gud... It helps a lot if u improve ur aim
"The correct answer is to buy each, but for $25 each it's not always possible."
Me:"Bruh you spent $300 minimum and you don't have $50!?"
Uh no because we just spent $300. Are you even paying attention??
onward is better it has better gunplay time to kill and everything
ARE YOU HIGH PAVLOV IS FREE ON THE QUEST
@@Frostiiikindadumb xD fucking quest get the fuck outa here ya virgin
Mr insider, have you considered a personal adblocker?
Pavlov is now on the oculus shop now but it’s a app lab game
Pc vr users: "should i buy Pavlov or onward."
Meanwhile Quest users: " I'll side load Pavlov and buy onward"
pavlov feels like it's no where near finished.
Which is why it's still in early access stages.
It’s not. The future is bright. The developer has a small team, and that makes things slower, but they are working on a world war 2 update soon so that will be v cool.
Exactly it has so much potential
and such a big modding and workshop community making custom modes and maps
“Pavlov isn’t on the oculus store
Oculus app lab: am I a joke to you
This video is a year old dumbnut
steam vr intensifies
And also the appearance when holding guns in onward is 10x better
Nice! Is it like being there or quiet flat?
How many of us are watching this with out even owning vr setup lol
lol does my psvr count? 😅
Pavlov is actually in beta on oculus for free so that’s pretty cool
Ok so get both
This was actually a really good video btw
thank you for this great review this is a great review
Game modes of pavlov combined with the gun play and realism of onward would make the perfect game
I like Onwards controlled recoil more because it’s assuming you’re trained to manage weapon recoil. I’d assume special forces would know how to do that.
Ye but not everyone just trying to play a shooter is in the special forces
Thats an awfully familiar airport at 3:24
If you're wondering which to buy, my input it to buy Pavlov first and definitely buy onward later when you can (or buy both at the same time.) They're completely different games hat are equally fun in their own way.
Pavlov is on sale right now for 5 bucks!
I haven't played Onward yet, having an absolute blast with Pavlov. It's really casual but it can be fun. Hoping to try Onward out some time.
they're both so good. different tones entirely.
edit: that being said, i own at pavlov online and i'm too scared to even try the Onward PvP
@Nasier Parker too sweaty
