That has been out for a long time, though with a different can. I quite like that they bring back the black in the design, as the original Hazy Jane can (can be found in the DIY dog PDF) from 2017, which by the way had 7.2%... I haven't had it for a long while, but there was a triple Hazy Jane in my Brewdog advent calendar. If you taste it in direct comparison to a normal Hazy Jane it is clear that it is the same yeast, but the normal Hazy Jane has a virus of a sharp aftertaste, which the double and triple have not.
I picked up a triple hazy Jane in Asda, not realising what it was. Had it in my head it was a triple punk. Saving it for when I've not got any plans the next day as it's 9%+
I work in a liquor store here in the States. We are bringing less new stuff into the store, because sales are down, and we don't want to sit on product. I also get your issue with Brewdog. I have the same issues with Surly Brewing. They have produced a lot of crap lately, since Todd left, but every once in a while they make great beer. Axe Man is still amazing, as is Darkness and BA Darkness. I really didn't want to spend $16.99 on a 16oz can of BA Darkness this year, but I did, and was blown away as usual with it.
Brewdog still brew great beer, sadly they like to experiment a little bit too much to appease hipsters and create attention. I don't think they've genuinely forgot about us but cash is king as always. Another great review Si
Simon I get it mate. Been with Brewdog from the start. They can make brilliant beer but have made some awful beer. Things in recent times have been shall we say lacking. This beer along with double punk , jack hammer and born to die , I love it
I thought this has been out for ages. There was hazy which is 5% then OG Hazy 7.2 then triple hazy. The original hazy Jane used to be 7.2% back in the day
Isn’t this just the original Hazy Jane that changed to OJ Jane when they released a lower ABV Hazy Jane? I’ve checked my Untappd and I’ve had this been 9 times going back to 2019 but none were called Double Hazy Jane.
I remember picking up Hardcore IPA or whatever it was called back then, the red double IPA one that was about 9%, and Punk IPA at my local big Tesco's for a quid a bottle when it was on sale and it was the best thing ever... really one of my favourite beer experiences because of the flavours and complexity of the beer and getting it for so cheap.
I would never pick up Brewdog beers knowing about their reputation. Sadly I do not remember the days when they were good but I'll definately try this and maybe it'll changemy opinion on Brewdog.
The Brewdog near me in Glasgows west end has reintroduced Jackhammer on Tap. This was my favourite beer from Brewdog…. However sure the last time I tasted it…it tasted awful, so unsure if this is due to me having tried lots of good beers over the years or it’s not the same beer… anyone any idea?
I was expecting you to hate this haha. I’m not at all interested in 7% beers. A decent brewery should be able to brew incredible sessionable beers at under 5%, even 4%. Simon, maybe you could revisit Innis&Gunn?? Another Scottish brewery whose beers USED to be great years ago, especially their flagship beer. I used to drink it on tap but they seem to have stopped producing kegs of it, as I’ve not seen it for nearly 10 years now. They’re still on supermarket shelves though. So they would be perfect for a revisit.
I believe the original hazy Jane was that sort of percentage. Probably the same stuff they used to do before they weakened it. Like how they made a 5% Elvis.
Simon, Hot off the sparging tank, Donkeystone Brewery of Oldham is closing down, a statement from the owners blames the “current climate”. They also said they would like to thank Real Ale Craft Beer for being their best salesman 😅😅😅😅
Most other supermarkets have been refreshing there range, however Morrison's near me and other stores of theirs I have been in seem to be running down there shops on pretty much everything, never any fresh produced bare shelves, meat bare shelves. This company has gone gone down hill over the past 12 months and so expensive.
Dang, that seems expensive for a can of beer…equivalent to $4.30 in US, especially for Brew Dog. Glad you liked it though. Always a real stinker to pay good money and throw half of it away.
I have had a lot of great beers from Europe over the years but I will never purchase BrewDog. Bought it on several occasions but it is not good. I don’t view it as a representative European beer.
As a sixty year old who's always drunk real ales I find these modern 'ales' are far too hoppy and most taste like ditch-water. I really don't understand why so many rave about these shite beers, other than it being a fashion thing. Btw IPA is India pale ale, so how can there be an American India pale ale?
Had it 2 weeks ago was very impressed & i usually cant stand most of brewdogs beer now

This has been out in multiple supermarkets ages. It's just O-G Hazy you reviewed 3 years ago but they changed the name a year or so back.
Pogo by wild beer got me into craft beer but the OG Hazy Jane is what made me fall in love with craft beer!
I picked up a triple hazy Jane in Asda, not realising what it was. Had it in my head it was a triple punk. Saving it for when I've not got any plans the next day as it's 9%+
This is genuinely the best beer I have ever had. It’s been my favourite for a couple of years now 💙

the original hazy jane came in a 330ml bottle and it was 7.2 per cent - same beer, and I also thought it was class at the time
Yep, that was always my favourite brewdog..then..it disappeared..
Love the OG Hazy
Can you review Brewdogs Triple Hazy? It's 9.5% and £4.75. I was tempted but put off by the price.
Here here, I would like that too, as its still currently available in Sainsbury's 👍
Brewdog still brew great beer, sadly they like to experiment a little bit too much to appease hipsters and create attention. I don't think they've genuinely forgot about us but cash is king as always. Another great review Si
Haven’t seen the double Hazy Jane. I have tried the normal Hazy Jane. I’ll keep a look out.

I almost picked this up myself, but thought better of it given their recent failures. May have to reconsider now
it's incredible how BrewDog can produce the worst shit and very decent/good value beers at the same time !
My tip never buy a Brewdog beer if it costs less than £3 quid lol
@@Cayres9 still like the stronger or more expensive Brewdog beers but not the mass market stuff that I grew too familiar with if I'm being kind.
Lidl have Magic Rock in there stores now, brewed exclusively for them, a few other new ones aswell, £1.79 a can.
Craft Beer from Morrisons at their 4 for price of 3 offer is a decent discount. Especially when looking at cans over £3.
Do love a brew dog especially the pinapple and marshmellow ipa, beautiful mouth feel
My local shop has sold this for at least a year. It's been out for a while now.

Saw this in Tesco on Friday - looks good

I'll be interested to see what you think of mikeller as guess it is 'do stuff together' being from morrisons
Thought you'd be a Triply Hazy Jane man yourself Si, 9.5% goes well with those Rustlers...

I LIKE THAT!!
It’s ok. It’s not a patch on Vocation’s Love & Hate. 6/10 for me.
Its a good beer. Probably best supermarket hazy

there is also a triple hazy 9.5%
There is a triple Hazy Jane also.
Didn't hazy Jane used to be that percentage?
Been out ages haha and they do a triple hazy Jane

Simon, It looks BrewDog have finally sent you down from Scotland a big wad of money to promote their beers 😅😅😅😅😅
I remember Watt and Dickie preaching about craft beer independence, yet they're now sellouts
It smells and almost tastes exactly like apple and mango juice
Clearly a worrying amount of sugar in it considering its making my fingers stick together from just a bit of spill on my hands 😂
Still probably the nicest brewdog beer I've tried , didn't know what I was buying just picked it up and was very surprised
