    Cairo is considered one of the oldest capitals in the world. Egypt is beautiful. I visited their new capital and the coastal cities with beautiful beaches. This country truly enjoys all the resistances between the old and the modern, and I loved it very much. Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, El Alamein, Luxor, Aswan, and El Jazira.

      @mohamed.om2ar I know that the capital of the ancient Egyptians was Thebes, but I mean the new administrative capital that Egypt is building now, and it is about 40 kilometers from Cairo.

    In Cairo, there are ancient towns that date back to very old times, where you can find simple places like those you have visited, places that carry the essence of the past. On the other hand, there are more modern areas such as Sixth of October City, Fifth Settlement, Madinaty, El Shorouk, Sheikh Zayed, and the Egyptian masterpiece, the New Administrative Capital. Meanwhile, across the rest of Egypt, there is even more to discover.
    I want to tell you something: do not judge any country until you experience it for yourself. Welcome to the land of civilization and history. Welcome to Egypt ❤️🇪🇬❤️.

    The one on the 200 Egyptian pound note is not Cleopatra.. but a picture of the statue of the Egyptian writer.. A male not a female 😅.. which had a great status in ancient Egypt.. You can find it in the Egyptian Museum.. or in the Grand Museum currently. ❤❤❤
    The one on the other side of the 200 pound is: Qanibay al-Rumah Mosque, located in Citadel Square in Cairo. Its construction dates back to the Mamluk era, when it was established in the year 908 AH - 1503 AD, by order of “Qanibay al-Sayfi,” which was known as “Qanibay al-Rammah,” and it is considered one of the Princes of Sultan Qaitbay, it was built on a system of schools with an orthogonal plan.. I am an ignorant person the Egyptian Koshari is completely different from the Indian dish the ingredients are different

    • @BasilKibbee
      @BasilKibbee 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is not genuinely Egyptian in origin, despite being Egypt's national food. Both rice and macaroni are not native to Egypt. Koshari is thought to have its roots in India and dates to the era of British colonisation.
      Actually, the word "Koshari" is derived from the Hindu word "khichri," which designates a rice and lentil dish. This dish was cheap and filling, and it was brought to Egypt by the British when they arrived in the late 1800s. It didn't take long for the Egyptian populace to warmly accept the meal.
      The crowning aspect of this dish is the flavour-packed, spicy tomato sauce. It’s made with a special spice blend called Baharat (Arabic for “spice”), an all-purpose spice blend commonly used in Middle Eastern cuisine. Just a pinch adds depth and flavour to sauces, soups, stews and meat.
      In 1853, in his book "Journey to Egypt and the Hijaz", explorer Richard Burton documented koshary as the breakfast meal of the people of Suez. Egyptian lentils, rice, butter, onions, and pickled lemons made up the meal. Initially offered on food carts, koshary was later made available at dining establishments.
      This dish is incredibly well-liked by labourers and workers, and it is perfect for large-scale catering events like conferences. It can be made at home and is available all over Egypt at roadside stands and dining establishments; some focus solely on koshary, while others offer it as one of many options.Koshary can be categorised as vegan because it is traditionally cooked without the use of any animal products, as long as all frying is done in vegetable oil.

      @@Alan_and_Shannon Yes, it is. Al Moezz Street (which is one of the oldest streets in Egypt, a thousand year old market street) would be reached from there but just use an Uber. Also I am glad that you guys Enjoyed it. However take care of yourselves, maybe have a tour guide next time, they can protect you from street scammers. or Just say "shokran La'" and look firm when you say it and walk away.
