They're certainly good engines!👌😃 Cats have always been a terrific engine in every category. Whether commercial or industrial. The XF Ute sounded pretty tough too!😅
The 16 years I've been subscribed to you seems to have flown by and its still a treat to get a video from you and today the rather special treat of TWO V8s. The Falcon is great....5.8L of V8 power but also practical. Thanks for sharing, would be good to see more of it 👍
Cool old k Whopper, beautiful classic, you keep her in good nick. Love the basic 3408 and the air starter is the icing on the cake. To bad you couldn't get a jake for them though. Never tried a cat with the brake saver before. Be handy to use coming down a hill in built up town or city areas though. Cool old falcon ute too. I had an XF column auto with bench seat, tan interior. Was a nice old ute until some a hole stole her back in around 2005. Had a White XG Ute too it had a 5 speed on the floor back in around 2010. Good old Utes probably going up in value now too. Have a good one, cheers for the videos
Nice, thanks for the quick flick! Cat 3408, kitty sounding great! Its a tight fit between the frame rails on the K series, by the looks. 😮 Keep it going Chris. BONUS CLIP, Falcon V8 ute at the end, lucky bloke!!

Good day from the UK! It's very good to see a new video! Was the recent work routine or of necessity? The whole truck looks remarkably clean. How many Km these days?
Pulled out the radiator and got it cleaned, rebuilt the compressor, changed the engine mounts, plus a few other jobs. I’d have to add it all up but I think it’s done around 6M kms now.
Hi, great video, great truck, great engine😊, looks so clean and tidy, love it. I became aware of your videos some time ago searching in real life for CAT 3408 as an ETS2 player (using that engine with a K100) 🙂. Can you please tell me how much power the engine has and the type of your Ken? I think it’s not a 100 or?

Very good. Love the old Cat
It’ll see me out. I’ve had since Christmas off, might be time to go back to work!

There's something truly magical about the sound of a 3408 cat thank you for sharing.

I love the sound of your Cat 340 V8 sir its so good
Sounds good but I like hearing it when it earns its keep.
There’s plenty of videos on this channel doing just that.
Its awesome to see one of our engines out in the wild

Yeah there’s no room in there. Changing the rear engine mounts is a bitch.

Love the high idle sound of the 3408 🤘🏻
2 sweet engines .love it
You're doing something right that V8 sounds as sweet as ever. 😊It's a pity that the Cats I drive don't have the same sound.

How are you going Tony. That Townsville job is finished so don’t know when I’ll be up there again.
Can't beat the sound of a 3408, I've got one in my 988 loader.
Driving that XD like you stole it 🤣🤣🤣
We had 988B loaders underground at the Agnew Nickel mine with 3408 back in the early 1970s. Also 769 trucks U/G with 3408. All modified low profile.
Good to see you back Chris👍 love that CAT V8, you know your stuff you've looked after that truck and CAT, keep up the good work👍

Just the normal maintenance and repairs you always get.

One question, where is the air compressor that powers the entire system located on the 3408? Thanks, good sound v8 🇺🇸💪
It’s at the rear of the engine on the left. The black intake hose with the yellow stripes feeds into it.
Thank you for sharing the video

The truck puts out 550 HP on a chassis dyno so that equates to around 610 HP at the engine. It is a K124CR.
Awesome
Bee good to see more videos. Are you still working?
Still working.
Do you still run across the paddock? I met you about 15 years ago at Tyco in Campbellfield getting your trailers un stacked and loading pipes.
I’ve been going from Melbourne to Townsville with pipes the last couple of years, but the job’s finished so I’ll be looking at WA soon.
Back road north? I guess, hopefully you sent her up the Hume at least once so she could show her finery
It would be great if you could re-record a higher quality version of the GoPro video with better audio quality, similar to this video
