  • It's been almost three years in the Space Force so I decided to make this video about my personal Top 5 reasons to join! I made a similar video about the Air Force and you I think a few people enjoyed that so I figured I'd make an updated version. Enjoy!

    If I were younger, I’d jump on this opportunity. It really will be the future of everything. Yea, maybe it’ll take 100-200 years before we really take off, but you can make an impact now.

    I’m 36 and thinking about enlisting, pretty much because I don’t want to lose the opportunity I never took in my younger years. I’ve considered the Air Force because I like aviation and mechanics and I currently work in automotive but space force now sounds like a super cool option as well.

Its pretty scary for those that see the feds at thier door asking about you. But hey its all part of the process. I currently have my heart set on enlisting in the Air Force, however the Space Force truly peaks my interest. The only worry I have is if I'm smart enough to make the cut. I'm definitely a fitness guy more than anything and plan on going for a battlefield airmen job, either tacp or special recon. I am aware that the training for those jobs are some of the hardest in the miltary and has a high failure rate, so security forces is my backup. However, if I could land a cushy job as a guardian with a prestigious title that'd be sweet too.

There is a HIGH likelihood you can spend your whole career in CO, and an Extremely low likelihood of deployment. If you want to travel, the USSF isn't the way to go.

Unfortunately, my recruiter isn’t very responsive or knowledgeable, as he is answering my questions by Google searching his answers. Initially, he didn’t think I had the scores to pass, then he realized I did after I showed him what was on the USSF website. Is there a way that perhaps you could give some sources that I could use to better understand my score and what are some good jobs in the Space Force? (I am 19) Thank you very much!

    • @AB-sw4kb
      @AB-sw4kb ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think a G-72 is the highest requirement, so if you have anything higher than that on your ASVAB, you should be fine, it's just a matter of manning. The Space Force is really only looking at intel, cyber, and space operators from their junior enlisted.
      The SFSC "5S" is the most abundant for junior enlisted. It's the USSF version of the Air Force's "1C6" AFSC, Space Systems Operations. It's a wide umbrella that most junior enlisted guardians fall under. It includes satellite command & control, missile warning, and offensive/defensive jamming to protect our troops down range.

      There's a special application you have to do to enlist. It is a competitive process; unlike the other branches' enlistments and much like the officer commissioning programs, merely having the minimums will not guarantee admission.

    • @christopherlee7334
      @christopherlee7334 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Future Guardian, although I'm a submariner and not a Guardian, some good universal advice for joining the military includes:
      - Good ASVAB scores. Look up the subject the ASVAB tests for, and aim high. The higher your score, the more positions will be available for you in any service.
      - Physical Fitness. The other branches may joke about a "desk job service", but the Space Force is a military service just like any other, and you will regret not being in at least decent shape. Cardio is a big one in all the branches, so I'd start working on your mile time and pushups.
      - Just Say No to drugs. And that includes weed, no matter which state you're in. Until Congress officially makes it legal, assume it isn't and act accordingly.
      - Don't do crime. Just don't. That includes joining anything that is or could be considered a "violent extremist organization" or militia of any sort. And don't get tattoos of them either, they check for that at MEPS.
      - Get sober. You're not going to have access to alcohol or tobacco while in any branch's basic training. Better start off clean now than have to go cold turkey half a day into training.
      Good luck out there, Future Guardian. Semper Supra!

      @@user-tz9wj2bc6q If you are looking at getting into IT I would just recommend going help desk. If you join the navy they are going to focus more on radio and basic IT skills like account creations and checking device LEDs. The up side is healthcare within the US is amazing for you and your dependants but if you get stationed in Japan then only you will have good healthcare and your dependants will have virtually none outside the emergency room. I would recommend air force or space force over the navy any day. From what I know they have a much better IT program than the navy does.
