Prayer transcends! Prayer is an act in which we give expression to the pressing and powerful wishes in the depths of our being and yearn for their fulfillment.
Regina is lifted in prayers, as is reflected in her spirit of grace she expresses to those around her💗

The failing ones in Baltimore? Do you have answers for the CURRENT, self inflicted destruction of the black family or are you just here to squirt some white savior sauce on everything and run off? You want to protest for Trayvon, but you can’t say anything to your black friends about Trontavious, can you? News flash, there are 100,000 Trontavious’ for every Trayvon. Stop pandering to black foolishness.

    I'm still crying...
Sobbed so much through the movie!!! The grief experience was so personal for me! And the grief I felt for every person who is dehumanized in the ways so powerfully captured in the movie!!!! And the fresh dive into the other layers of what African Americans experience in this country - more than, deeper than, the better context to what we usually define only as racism. Caste is the container for racism, and all the ways humanity seeks to define another as "lesser"
    ❤❤❤😢❤❤❤

EVERYONE needs to see this masterfully crafted film that ignites such a deeper and more empathic understanding of our global human experience! 🎉Brilliance is the "Origin" gift we've received for years to come from Ava DuVernay! 🎉❤ Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor delivers a stellar performance that truly deserves industry praise 👏 It is my hope that this film is shared with both young and old, in schools and companies to aid in furthering meaningful intellectual discourse. Please support this film which is currently not being shown in all theaters but it definitely should be. I've found it so far on Fandango and AMC at limited showings and theaters here in FL as of 2/21 but was released on 2/19/24. #SeeOrigin2024

The most enlightening part of this film was the plight of the Dalits(untouchable) community in India. India is a an extremely complicated place, with centuries old traditions, and multicultural crossroads. In a short period of time, Ms. Wilkerson and Ava shared the struggles of the untouchables in a way in which I had not seen. It was a really powerful depiction. I was squirming in my seat when that guy went to clean the latrine. Sadly, the highly stratified society in India, connects to the right leaning Indians in the West. I see you Vivek Ramaswamy and Rishi Sunak.

@edwardburton6687...why must we as black people take on more plights of other nations and call it ours, and call it the same? Perhaps I don't get it as a women of color in her 72 years! What is it that I have missed, and why should I connect other people fates, who come to this country and never ever come in our community but are benefited with benefits we ourselves do not have! We want to gift to every nation but never to ourselves is why we are still on the bottom while others rise to the top!
I love the acting of this actress, but I am missing something and please somebody enlighten me!

This movie makes linkages to try and further an agenda of global oppression as the main character luxury travels around the world and is fawned over by high society white people at fancy parties. I don't know why I loved seeing the credits scroll over Ms. Ava's face. I think uts because of the idea of completion. These women going through very hard work and complex ideas from Reginas Boondocks Watchmen and Ajanue in King Richard and Remember her portraying a black women finding her own power in Lovecraft County (whole series and specifically Beyond Cest episode) I think seeing the credits reminds me that speaking is important but the discipline and commitment it takes to communicate in various ways is a birthing that requires time discipline corporation to reach completion. The credits scrolling across her face reminds me as great and thankful I am for Ava telling stories that have liberated folks literally (When They See Us) and figuratively (many of us who have viewed) it takes many hands to bring it forth. Thank you all three of you for your years of perseverance dignity power and the pursuit of understanding and well being for us all. Thank you for feeling deeply and following through. #inspired

Fantastic Interview....AMAZING FILM by 2 of my favorite actors and 2 amazing directors!
Tip the 🧢 to (Niecy Nash) for being a Pillar in stabilizing the [weight] of what your friend was going through.
I WATCHED THE FILM BECAUSE OF AUNJANUE ELLIS-TAYLOR PERIOD!
In all her films her Personality really comes to life. WOW!!
I purchased the book "caste" after watching the film, however it is my belief that "racism and "caste" are deliberate tools and constructs of European COLONIZATION/ Capitalism on a GLOBAL scale...
specifically American colonization/Capitalism toward indigenous and melinated American's thru policy legislation and enforcement etc.
    supportive book for READER:
"The myth of race"- Robert Sussman
    "1619 project"- Nicole Hannah-Jones
"Barracoon: The Story of the Last [Black Cargo]"-Robin Miles, Zora Neale Hurston.

This movie is amazing. Ava DuVernay is such a visionary. Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor knocked it out of the park with their performance. Lastly, Regina King did a great job moderating. Thank you for posting this video!

What about the scene when the black couple were on the porch speaking about how to structure the book? One minute they’re conversing in the vocabulary of the educated and then as soon as a dark skinned woman shows up they get real ebonical. I saw that as further evidence of the class divide in this movie. She wanted to us to feel the caste pain while at the same time basking in the upper class trappings that separated her from those beneath her station. This movie was trash.

I think that was the point. We’re all apart of a “caste” system, whether we want to believe it or not. We all have biases, buried prejudices lying dormant in us due to personal experiences …the reality is we’re all flawed human beings.

Now “Who’s too Māori? Eh whoa. You go bro not only are making a lot of Maori feel good with in themselves, but I’ve seen videos of people reacting to your music not even knowing what language you’re singing in. But because you’re a proud Māori sharing our culture with everyone, even though they don’t recognise the language thru you and our culture they feel the wairua. Finally bro, I’ve always known you are a talented musician, but this song is going to need an exceptional song to take the academy award away from you , if non Māori like those that have tuned in can tune into the wairua of the waiata then Kia kaha firstly to our culture and secondly just as importantly to you for being an educational vessel for our culture. Way to go, bro.
